Sounds like really positive phone call. Which job sounds best to you, at this point? It's nice to have choices and I think that you have some good change coming. This is a good way to end a work week. I honestly would rather have the job he called me about. Accounting is accounting. I mean I like numbers and all, but it can be really dry at times. So that accounting manager position would be fine, but nothing to be excited about. The job that he is wanting me for would be a lot more communication with clients, detailed analyzation in the realm of auditing and compliance, creating remediation plans in regard to spending within a subset of rules governing the programs. Just sounds a lot more creative, different day-to-day, I enjoyed every auditing class I've ever taken so I like the investigation aspect, and then the creation of this unit from scratch. It just sounds like it would take what I like about accounting & finance, and mix it up with some of my extroversion aspects. There might even be some light travel. Covid kind of made most things online, but I might get to do some traveling and I really like that idea too. |

So I don't think it would be overwhelming. Plus it will all be in-state which is good. I'm glad you liked this type of work, I think for an accountant this might be some of the biggest excitement we get. He specifically cited my communication skills when he was telling me about the job. He also cited my attention to detail, the fact that I am a rule follower, that I use creative ways to think about problems, and the fact that I am always prompt in responding to communications. Like I said though, this man has worked with me over the past two years in my current role. So he knows me in a professional capacity. |

Well the one job still hasn't been posted so no movement there. However, I did get an email this morning to schedule an interview for next Tuesday for that Accounting Manager position. So good news to share! I know everyone on the interview panel so that should put me a little more at ease.

How long has it been since you first began thinking about the complaint? And how long since you first spoke with HR? And in those time frame, have there been any improvements?
