I went to my local SU demo's house for a (mostly) Paper Pumpkin craft session. Made some encouragement Cards for Cubs (which i need to share). Yesterday morning I did a little more on the PP stuff and attempted homework for next weekend's Pinkfresh Create and Connect, but didn't get much traction. Going to make another stab at that today. jeremysgirl, I rarely go over to NSBR, but late one night last week as I was getting ready to shut the computer and go to bed, I glanced at the main menu and your work thread was at the top there, so I gave some recent pages a skim. I am so very sorry you are dealing with all that!

Shakti - that sounds like fun - I wish I had local scrappy people. Good luck with the Create and Connect homework. I didn't get anything scrappy done yesterday really. Bought some albums on clearance, labelled two months worth of digital photos, and printed some St Patrick's day gnome colouring pages sized down for card fronts and got those coloured. Hopefully in the next couple of days, I can turn them into cards. Oh I did finally print the photo for a Pumpkin patch layout I did last Fall and get that assembled.

Well I am back to work this morning. I did not get my camper quilt done. I screwed up one block that I need to take apart and resew so I think that's giving me a mental block about putting the rest together.
I am trying to schedule a scrapbook day with my friend Wendy for sometime in March.

(((Hugs))) jeremysgirl - I'm sorry that the quilt isn't going together smoothly. Hopefully some time away from it will help. I'm almost done scrapping DD17's Boundary Waters trip last summer - 3 layouts left I believe. And I've made some progress on the 29-4-029 challenges - once I get the trip finished, I'm going to focus on those. It's been a good month scrappy-wise and I've just about made it through my to-do list.

I still need to tally my points but I'm hoping to get the last 4 29-4-29 challenges done today...of course I left a couple of the 1, 2, 3 challenges for last...I struggle so much with them

Sharing all my job search mojo fairy dust with you I appreciate that. I still have not heard anything about the job I interviewed for several weeks ago. But I did get a tip off about something else that would be perfect for me that should be posted within the next month. I did a scan this morning to see if I saw anything out there for me, but I did not. But we will see what happens.

This is a job that I heard about (and was able to have a casual conversation with the hiring manager at that time) before it was actually posted. Hopefully, whoever gave you the tip can help you network in early also!

How is everyone doing? I admit, I might not get back to my scrapbooks this month, which is disappointing. However, the counters for my camper remodel are in production right now and the weather is getting nicer. I have to get that quilt top done and we have to prime and paint the camper. We are trying to get everything done by our May trip. It's overwhelming actually. So I feel like scrapbooking has to be on the back burner for now.

finishing up the camper sounds like a good plan for now jeremysgirl - hopefully you'll be able to get back to the scrapbooks once that's done! I'm hoping to scrap at lunchtime today but we'll see.

I am not doing the hour or so of crafting I was sneaking in on weekday mornings anymore...go figure!
I am not signed up for any remote events this weekend, but plan to get to some of the straggler cards from the Pinkfresh and Altenew events.
I need nine more cards for the spring exchange.
I should be able to fill my typical six or eight weekend hours.
New job is going well so far!

I had grand plans for 24/7 crafting last week while DW was out of town but that did not happen. I did something to my left elbow at the end of January and it's just not getting better. I probably should go see a doctor. I can do some crafting but pay for it afterwards. Two steps forward, one step back. I committed to doing Cards for Cubs and the spring card exchange on 2peas so I have quite a few cards to get done this month. I'm not halfway done (maybe at 35%) but halfway through the month. I'll get there but at a much slower pace than I'm used to. The weather app shows no stormy weather for the next 10 days, so I'm hoping we can get outside a bit. A local guy refurbs bicycles and gives them away to the community. DW got one in the fall and I just got one yesterday. We retired last summer and moved to a new state, so this will be our first spring here. We live in a coastal/tourist town, so the area really comes alive when the weather is good. While I liked the "sleepy" winter months, I'm ready for some warmer activities.

So, round trip to campus (~3 hrs) to pick up DK for spring break really preempted most of crafty time this morning. Got a little bit of trimming and gluing in for another small batch of spring exchange cards. Will need to find 3 more somewhere. I did use a couple scraps and some patterned paper from a Spellbinders card kit that I did not love as a kit and some card stock ordered in a bit of a spree.
I'm on the fence about tomorrow morning. One possibility is to finish the last class/last two cards from the Pinkfresh event last month. The other is to rewatch the Altenew/Jennifer McGuire video where Jen Rsaza teaches Jennifer to watercolor now that my new! shiny! Altenew watercolors and brushes and stamp and paint sets are all here!! While I love the finish what you started and clear the decks thing, I am so very excited to try painting that I feel like I should strike while my enthusiasm is red-hot. The higher-quality artists' watercolors were on sale for less than the beginner-quality ones, so I got them (naturally) and they are unlike any others I've ever seen. They really do seem to shimmer or sparkle in a slightly jewel-like way, not chalky or pasty looking at all.
Oh, and, yes, I survived week one! Exhausting, exciting, overwhelming, exhilarating -- par for the course, right?

Shakti - I'm glad your first week went well. LOVE the cherry blossoms! Not sure if I'll have crafty time today. Just got back from the laundramat -gosh prices have gone up since last time I needed to use one - nearly $20 for two loads (just washed -brought them home to dry). Then I'm baking - Irish soda bread and I'm debating about a Guinness Chocolate cake with Bailey's cream frosting. I've made it once before and it was awesome. We'll have corned beef for dinner. I do need to sort and put away my new Pinkfresh box <3

I’ve been silently lurking in this thread because I haven’t gotten much done. My partner was recently released from the hospital and his health is slowly improving. I feel like I can finally take a breath and have a little bit of me time to work on scrappy stuff.
I won’t get as much as I’d like done, but I’ll do my best to give our team some more points before March ends.

Shakti I also love the cherry blossoms!! Linda We’re likely moving soon and I don’t know if we’ll have a washer and dryer. The price of doing laundry is one of my big concerns if we don’t. I have allergies and am constantly washing everything because I have a cat that I absolutely love and adore but am still allergic to even with shots.

My partner was recently released from the hospital and his health is slowly improving I'm glad that he's on the mend. We’re likely moving soon and I don’t know if we’ll have a washer and dryer. The price of doing laundry is one of my big concerns if we don’t I hope that you'll have a washer/dryer and if not, that the laundry fees will be reasonable. It's been 25 years since I was a regular at the laundramat and probably 10 since last time I had to wash there at all - so definitely sticker shock for me.
