Checking back in with my scissor sisters as the end of the quarter approaches. Anyone else dreading point counting? It's easily my least favourite task of the teams - I used to count after each sharing session but now I only count at the end of the month.

I've always counted at the end of the month, so it's what I'm used to. My biggest issue is usually whether I can find my print out of the challenges list by the end of the month -- sometimes it gets lost in the shuffle. This month it's right in front of me on the coffee table.

Hey guys....since Shakti and myself will be the team leads next quarter - can you give us some feedback on what would make the team threads more useful/interesting to you. How do you envision them? Personally I think of them as quarterly versions of the Pokey peas or the NSBR dinner thread where we can just chat about anything scrapbook related or otherwise as well as share encouragment, inspiration, vents, etc... But what do YOU want? questions of the week? sharing crafty progress? discussing challenges with the challenges? something else? What would make YOU more engaged with the team threads?

But what do YOU want? questions of the week? sharing crafty progress? discussing challenges with the challenges? something else? What would make YOU more engaged with the team threads? I don't use the pokey peas or dinner threads, but I like the idea of chatting about anything. I also feel like a weekly question could be too much? I will be honest and say that while I'm on 2peas almost daily, I don't always feel like forming words to respond to things, so I just won't. Sometimes that's only a one-day "feeling", and sometimes it lasts longer. What about a monthly question? Tagging group members would be a way to call attention to the questions, too. That might help with engagement. A reminder that the chat thread/group exists for them. That would require a little work for the leaders. But an idea nonetheless. I do find when more people are engaged in the thread, I am more inclined to chime in, too. I am a follower, not a leader, lol. ETA: another suggestion would be to encourage peas to use the bookmark feature on the team thread, so they are notified of new content posted in the thread. I use this tool a lot and find it to be very useful.

So, I'm not sure how to use the bookmark feature. I think I might have clicked it accidentally on occasion. But don't all threads that have new content show up marked that they do?

To use the bookmark feature on a mobile click the "Thread Options" at the top-left of the thread and on the desktop it's the "Action" dropdown at the top-right of the thread. I'm using Apple products, so it's possible it looks different on Android/PC computers. You are correct that all threads with new content show marked up. What I like is that it makes the "new information available" notice come to you, rather than you having to go look for it. I personally don't go into the Challenges area regularly, so I find it helpful.

Ryann - thank you for your honest answers. I completely relate to the forming words bit which is why I'm more than a bit sporadic on the dinner thread (sorry dinner people).

I read in the morning in bed on my iPad, but am more likely to compose a post later in the day on a computer— IF I remember that I saw something I wanted to comment on, of course. Bookmarking doesn’t sound like anything I’ve done before. I can think of a few threads it would be useful for. Thanks, Ryann!

Linda , Shakti , teacherlisa , Ryann , AussieMeg , gramma , scrappinwithoutpeas , katiekaty , stacey562 , jjpeapea , amyl , wallyagain , @petscrapper , schroemaIt's time to report your point total. I tagged everyone so if you've already gotten it to me you can ignore this message. 😉 I'm sorry I didn't quite wrap things up here, I've been really off board a lot lately. But I thank everyone for the chat and playing along. I wish I had gotten more scrapbooking done. Hopefully later in the year I can get some more stuff done.

jeremysgirl, I posted my points breakdown in the Q-1 challenge thread, but posting my total here too: 1139. I got some of my momentum back and accomplished more than I thought I would, so I'm pleasantly surprised!

Thanks so much you guys! I'm hoping the rest will get me their totals by end of day so I can report to grammadee tomorrow. Grammadee, I just have the busiest day today. I'm going to be in 8000 meetings today between 8-4. But I'll add everything up early, like very early tomorrow morning. Does anyone know off the top of their head what the other crafts points per hour are? I had a lot of time doing other crafts 37 hours. I got to go searching too because I did my entire DD album too. I just need to get through this job interview and all the rest of my meetings today and then I can really focus on peas again.

I’m pretty sure the paid by the hour rate is the same for all crafting, jeremysgirl. The only thing that changes it is crafting with others. Hope you kick interview butt!

Whether you craft with paper or cloth, glue and photos or mixed media, yarn or ink: earn TEN points for every hour spent crafting. Double your points per hour if you are crafting with another person, whether in person or on line. When you finish a project of ten hours or more, give yourself a BONUS of ONE HUNDRED POINTS!
Earn TEN points for every hour you spend organizing your crafting supplies or cleaning/reorganizing your craft space

How'd the interview go, jeremysgirl? Feel free to point me to NSBR somewhere if you've already posted about it over there....
