Thanks for posting all those challenges, folks We should have a printable list and/or spreadsheet to reference in a day or two. I still need to set up my little tracking sheet in my planner too. I have a post it note by my craft desk for crafty hours, another by my recliner for crochet hours, and I set up a planner page to write down my projects - how many cards, what size, and if I shared. I just go through the printable list at the end of each month with my projects and Flickr photos up and read the challenge list to check off which ones I did. I find that easier than checking the challenge list with each card project. (I don’t look at the challenges before I create!) Is it just me or are the boards pretty quiet? The boards do seem pretty quiet... maybe everyone resolved not to use social media for their resolution this year. I have had a lot of time to be scrappy in the last week (I made 5 or 6 pages) but the entire post winter break schedule goes back into full swing this week so it will be seen if I can keep up the pace or not... lots of time in the car driving kids everywhere is good for listening to audiobooks, but not so great for scrapbooking... haha, maybe so! Good luck getting back into the swing of being the taxi service. Hope that audiobook is good! Maybe your scrappy momentum will help you carve out a little creative time somehow.

The spreadsheet and link to the printable challenge list is stickied at the top of the Challenges board. So many challenges... Should be a fun three months! Love that I am starting to see pages and cards in the Q-1 Sharing Threads.
Points: don't forget to claim the bonus points for your first creation of the year! (It is listed under Special Challenges on the spreadsheet).
I have had a nice ease into crafting as the year began. I am retired, and my favourite way to start a day is put together a page or card, and most days so far this month I have been able to do that. Today's LO was pretty photo-heavy, but I am hoping to get more artsy stuff on the next layout. I signed up for Allison Davis's SCT sketch class and have her first printout with examples. And with the challenges and Sketchy Saturdays, I should have lots of inspiration. Which reminds me--I need to come up with something to post for January 20th. Then February will be a whole new barrel of fun with 29-4-29 (a new challenge every day of February) Planning is just starting. We still need a couple of hosts, if anyone is interested.

Super quiet boards!
First off kitbop, you over-achiever! I only did 9 challenges
So new state, new "norms" for Senior night. Seniors have large banners posted on the fence. Soccer was pretty standard, parents recognized and walked senior out to field. Program and gifts for the players. Wrestling? No banner and only two home meets all season. Senior night is next Tuesday, and fortunately another parent clued me in that parents make a photo board. I asked how big etc, answer is whatever I wanted to do!
Yup the scrapbooker in me went all out. I will post a photo on the Quarter one sharing thread. Used a project tri-fold, and added seven 12 x 12 layouts. Used the rest of the of the space to put all the years of photos of his team and his photo for the year. Middle School had club wrestling and MS wrestling. Last year I thought ahead and before DS was no longer at his home HS I took a photo of his singlet along with a photo of his teeny tiny singlet from when he weighed 43 pounds at age 5! Ran out of room for his name and this years 5 x 7, so that will be at the top of the board taped on the back. HUM, wonder what the others will look like? I will count all the photos for the Donna challenge that were not already on a layout.
My "just for fun" DT is starting up our challenges again Retro Rubber Challenge Blog and I finished up two cards for that tonight. I will count them, but not post them as they will go live later this month. I started with an idea and made two other cards before Christmas. Really didn't like the first version, but this afternoon was fun.
It is so nice to craft again . . . you have no idea! Not everything is here in MN, 100% of my unmounted stamps with matching dies, and 60% of unmounted stamps are still in Oregon. Four three drawer storage units are also in Oregon. All my Thickers, extra adhesive, card bases, etc. No idea when it will get moved. Oh well. I will have to make do!

It’s freezing and snowy here! After two snow days from my kids school this week from snowstorms and now the talk of days off from cold (major - temps with windchill!) I’m not sure if I will get more or less crafting done!
Last week I edited and printed out a bunch of pictures for my DD album and this weekend I got to finishing up pages. It helped me get past my road block!
I am waiting to hear if activities are cancelled tomorrow or what. If they are I think I’ll take it as a time to craft with my kids doing thirty crafts too two kids are doing scrapbook pages for 4H so they can scrap too. And the others are working on their Lego sets.

Sounds like a busy week, angel97701! Would love to see your "over the top" board and your cards. boymom5 I hope you get some crafting time if the weather closes schools down again. Don't forget we can earn ten points per hour crafting, and DOUBLE if you craft with your kids! Will you be sharing any of your completed DD pages? Would love to see them. We are in the deep freeze weather-wise, here. No school buses for several days. But hockey this weekend is a go LOL. Went to dgs's game yesterday and will go in again this afternoon. You are right about how actually crafting opens the creative gates, boymom5. Most days this month I have been managing a card or a LO in the morning, working through my holiday photos. Never did make a list of titles like I had planned, so not sure how many more pages there will be before I can stow all the Christmas scrappy supplies for another year. I have a sketch chosen for next Sketchy Saturday, and need to come up with five samples for 29-4-29 in February, so if I use Christmas photos for all of those, that might finish the job. Happy Sunday, Party People!

angel97701 So glad to hear you've had a chance to craft despite your prolonged move. Your photo board sounds like a wonderful celebration of your son's wrestling journey. boymom5 we have crazy cold weather here too, although our snow is forecast for when we finally get above freezing on Tuesday. It must be a challenge keeping everyone busy and not getting cabin fever. I hope you get some crafting done. Sometimes having that pressure gets me working more efficiently, or at least helps me take the first step - getting the photos sorted out - so I can dig in when I actually have some time and energy. I worked on placing the last month of photos in my year end photobook. I have been working with the same photos in my JYC book so it feels a little stale or redundant, but I have to remember that they're for two different audiences. I make JYC for myself, the yearbook is to share. I haven't done much embellishing or design this year, just trying to get things laid out and then I can go back and fancy things up if I want to. JYC is about 80% done I think. I want to work on cards too but I don't have enough focus to do all the things and read for book group on Tuesday and finish my crochet project. I need to pick one thing and do it for a couple of hours and then switch! I can finish my crochet blanket today and grab my 100 bonus points

I've been trying to scrap on this 3-day weekend... We're kind of snowed in (the Pacific NW doesn't really believe in snow plows, we just wait for the snow to melt) and it's not going to get above freezing until Tuesday. Meanwhile, every time I sit at my desk, someone needs me somewhere else in the house... Maybe tomorrow.
I discovered (after it snowed) I am out of dark brown cardstock, again... I apparently use a lot of brown cardstock, as I am always running low.
First stop on Wednesday after the snow melts, my localish craft store. Then maybe to the grocery store...

No snow/cold day today! Though it is -34 with windchill and one kid is home sick. My crafty one is at school and the homeschooled kids are tired after a full day back from break. I am going to get some crafting done on my own this afternoon. I’m plugging along on 2023 album and making my way into April. I’m not sure why I procrastinated so much with last years album. And I’m not sure what I exactly did do!

Hopefully not the freezing rain… We missed out on all of it, except a light dusting at the beginning of the big cold that blew away immediately in the big wind. We’re back to shade of gray and drizzle, although a lot of people are still dealing with frozen/burst pipes. We’re glad we added tons of extra insulation last year when our furnace was randomly failing. Apparently every state had some kind of weather advisory or warning yesterday, or something like that. And my eyeballs have been freezing just watching the Canadian weather news! How cold did you get grammadee? Are you through the worst of it?

How cold did you get grammadee? Are you through the worst of it? Through the worst of it for now. Would not be surprised to see another cold snap or two before the end of March. I think the coldest it got here on the thermometer was -42C. But some places were reporting as low as -50 range in wind chills. Thank goodness our homes are constructed to withstand low temps b/c they come every year, so heard only one story of pipes freezing. And that was for a washer/dryer in a porch attached to a mobile home. Still no more than a few inches of snow here, and we usually count on a thick coating to insulate tree and perennial roots, so we will see in the spring what the results of this weird winter are.

Oh boy, I hope your plants and trees survive! One of the cardmakers I follow who lives in the Canadian prairies was doing a live from her sort-of-finished-garage *with the heaters on* because she said wind chill was -55C/-67F or some such craziness. I haven't watched yet to see if she made the card extra quick to get back in the warm part of the house. As you said, it's all about what we're used to/what's typical and what houses were built for. It looked like the fire department was being called out a couple of times an hour over the weekend for "public service" calls, I suspect to shut off water mains because of frozen pipes. Our neighbor's water meter/main froze but when we looked at it the problem was obvious - the previous owner's landscapers had lowered the grade around the steel meter box. Duh! Ours is safely tucked into the concrete sidewalk and earth. I love to talk about the weather! Especially weird weather. I'm seeing lots of people crocheting temperature blankets and even though I know I don't need that kind of long term commitment it would bring together two of my interests http://instagram.com/p/C1ltbr9NwYV

So it's been awhile since I played along with challenges. Do we have a sharing thread? Never mind, went back and read the "rules", it's on the general scrapbooking board. I spent a little time in my craft room and made another card . . . not sure I like it for the DT challenge. But have the creative wheels still turning. Last night was Senior night for wrestling. I put up my DS18's photo board. It had 7 12" x 12" layouts and other misc. photos. People enjoyed all of the Senior photo boards. They were curious about DS's because all but this year is from another state.

Glad you found the sharing thread @angel97707 I'll drop a link here in case anyone else has had trouble finding it or wants to see and share 2peasrefugees.boards.net/thread/143317/1-sharing-threadWe're about two thirds of the way through January! How are things going? Somehow the beginning of the year both drags and disappears on me. It will be Valentines Day before we know it. I'm so glad i don't have a card shop to keep track of any more. I used to get to Jan 20th and panic that I should already be in full Valentine mode when I've just barely gotten over Christmas! Are you working on anything seasonal?

joblackford I feel the same way about January. This year it seems to be disappearing very quickly on me! The only thing on my mind lately has been NFL football. I'll be glad when the playoffs are over when I'll be able to focus on something else lol This quarter I'm working on Christmas past that haven't been scrapped yet. I usually jump around a lot, but lately I'm wanting to just keep to a particular theme that uses the same supplies. Shimelle said something last year that made that click into place for me, but I get bored and distracted by shiny things very easily so we'll see how that goes lol.

Our weather has been so blah this January that it’s made it hard for me to get much done. Probably because the kids are inside and “bored” a lot. It was a bucket load of snow followed by arctic weather and now freezing rain making it an ice rink outside! I’m looking forward to this weekend and the warm up (it’ll be in the mid to low 30s!)
Right now I’ve just been editing a lot since I can do that in spurts and it’ll help when I get the longer time to actually scrap.

I think I might be done scrapping Christmas! At least I got to the end of my list of page titles I started awhile ago. Need to go through my photos to make sure before I start packin' up the holiday crafting supplies...
I DO have a NYE layout I plan to make, but I can make a kit for that while I pack.
Too bad I don't feel like sorting and stowing. So that job won't start today. Even though I know it will make it easier for me to scrap my other photos whimpering for attention in their envelopes on my desk.

It will be fun to get started on something new Earn us some planning and organizing points! I'm still working on my Christmas digital book. No hurry there. I realized I could add a page with a photo of our old house from 1983 to contrast how it looked when we drove by last month, and that makes me want to add a few more nostalgic photos. I've finished my year end book but I'm waiting for a better discount code before I order it. I have some other gifts to mail to NZ along with it, which I'd love to get off my desk, but blurb has trained me to wait for 20-30 or more percent off before ordering.

Earn us some planning and organizing points! It might be a LOT of organizing points LOL. Started sorting out just dies and stamps this morning. Two hours in, and I have a bigger mess than I started with! When I organize, my stupid left brain wants to divide into more and more detailed categories. I need to make sure it doesn't completely ignore my right brain that actually will be USING this stuff. I don't have a storage system for Christmas dies & stamps, so right now sorting into ziplock bags in a tub. I have Winter and Holiday together right now, but may need to split into two containers as this one starts to fill up. That would make sense, except that I have room for just the one tub in the Christmas corner of my cupboard.

How did it go? Did you keep organizing or did you pivot to another task? My current "rabbit hole" is my Christmas cupboard. Have dug out most of the stuff and am sorting through it all. Hoping another day will get everything into containers that will stack back into that corner. And I am labeling everything so that next fall will be a bit easier to find what I am looking for...

I am feeling more comfortable in my new craft space. I've been working on my Design Team challenges, as sometime this spring our home in Oregon will most likely sell. We actually are in the offer/counter off stage--but they have the contingency to sell their home first. It is so much more promising that it was all last year. Even though economy is still horrible and interest rates are still high, at least they are coming down. That means more packing, moving, and unpacking. What is exciting is the rest of my crafting supplies will be in one place! All my stamp/die sets and more than 2/3's of my unmounted stamp collection. I have created 8 cards for the DT Retro Rubber. I should go share the two that have gone live, the rest will have to wait. Went skiing this afternoon. We live 2 minutes from the small ski area, Ski Gull. It's only 230 ft vertical, so I can go and ski for an hour to an hour and a half and call it good. Great to be outside in the fresh air on a warm 36 degree day with no wind. Then home to cook dinner. I do miss my bigger hill that was an hour away, but the $$$ was more and it was an all day commitment. Haven't really skied for about 12 years so this was a good excuse to go again. DH doesn't ski and it's easy enough to go by myself. DH encouraged me to get new equipment, and even bought me bags for my boots/helmut and skis for Christmas. He encourages me to go skiing. Everyone must be busy with real life. grammadee, hope you get your Christmas cupboard organized they way you like it! joblackford, getting your digital stuff done? Hear you on waiting on a discount code! boymom5 and @breetheflea Have you melted yet? We have here in MN, up in the 30's now. joyfulnana Got Christmas done, or still distracted by shiny new things LOL!

I have wrangled my holiday craft supplies back into their corner and closed the cabinet door. Then I cleared off my scrap counters, put away the dies and embossing folders, and set up my tools and inks where they are right at my fingertips. While my left brain was off its leash, I added up my January points. I have a busy weekend ahead of me with family, and some housecleaning to do before that, so probably won't be crafting again until Monday. I hope by then I will be able to get back into PLAYING in here.
Speaking of playing, who plans to play along with 29-4-29? I have my first sample done ready to drop into my first challenge post this evening. And there will be a new challenge every day in February. Lots of fun. Lots of points to be earned, including a completion bonus.

Count up how many challenges you did in January - you get to start fresh and count them again in Feb and March. I just use a colored pen and put checkmarks on the printed list, then the next month I use different colored pen on the same sheet. I put the total in the points thread at the end of each month as well as on my paper just in case I lose it. The thread is here 2peasrefugees.boards.net/thread/143315/2024-teams-rules-points-collectiongrammadee I've always assumed the Feb 29-4-29 challenges are scrapbook related but I'm not sure I've ever looked. Should cardmakers check them out too?

joblackford you definitely SHOULD check out 29-4-29. Most of the challenges will have at least some application to card making. Would love to see how you interpret them.
