Ok so somehow I did two of April 1-7. I did everything right but week 2 of April which started on the 8th also got dated April 1-7. So I dated the next week April 8-14. Then this week I was going to date it and I was like, it's May. No way last week was April 15-21.
Ugh. I had to change THREE dates! One I had stamped directly onto a card. One was an easy fix.
What the heck?
I'm on track now but I have no idea how that even happened.

I always intend to come update here with my spreads because I know there are some people here who aren't on instagram, but then I usually end up checking here while I'm at work and I can't link instagram there. Anyways, I've completed through April 14 and I've shared through April 7, so not too far behind. I need to do my WITL album and have a travel mini I want to do soon too, though, so I'm not sure if I'll fall behind again. Here are the last few weeks I shared. The last week of March, using the SBTM kit from Ali Edwards. I've really loved these kits this year. https://www.instagram.com/p/C6bNHZHpQI6 A process video on youtube: youtu.be/7ruvmEsBFZMThe first week of April, using my stash, but mostly Cocoa Daisy + old Studio Calico. https://www.instagram.com/p/C6lgShpojDN A process video on youtube: youtu.be/Freme1-J1gg

OMG. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the June kit.
The suns! The days of the week cards. I haven't even started May yet and I want to skip ahead.
Or maybe I'll go finish up this last week of April/first week of May. My photo paper just showed up.

Except I hate the suns (with faces) but I love the rest of the June kit.

I have a dilemma. I am doing a weekly PL album. I have the last week of January with absolutely no pictures. It was a time where I was working 7 days a week and a minimum of 10-12 hour days. I think at that point I had worked 19 straight and pictures were the lasts thing on my mind. Do I skip that week completely in my album or do I acknowledge it with the story of why there are no pictures and put some 3x4 and 4x6 cards in there that represent my life then? I'd take a picture of my office and my bedroom. Then I'd print out 5 each and label them with each weekday. Then I'd do a journal card listing the hours I'd worked and slept that week. Finally, maybe a journal card for the weekend and anything I did or how I wound down after a tough week or list of things I had to catch up on.

May is just Ho hum. Nothing “wrong” with it just not very inspiring. My first week of May ends tomorrow. I just went through my stash and pulled out a few cards, papers, and embellishments to match. I'm glad there are only 4 weeks. It's really tough to stretch these kits to 5. Last year's WITL kit (or maybe it was the year before that) matches really well with the May kit. I had a lot of the cardstock die cuts leftover like a sun, a cloud, and a wine glass. All the same color scheme. I had some Felicity Jane stuff to match. If I need alphas or labels, I know where to find those so I'm not pulling out any just yet.

The next few weeks in my album... https://www.instagram.com/p/C6yYRNzNfv1 https://www.instagram.com/p/C68rbPNNSv7 And the last one on my youtube: youtu.be/9dJ8Bnwh44EI have process videos for all of my spreads on youtube if you're interested. I spent some time last weekend catching up in my album, so I have finished everything except last week/this week. I will share them on my instagram/youtube soon. Honestly, the editing to share process takes way longer than the creating process! I think because I've been doing this project for so long, it's easy for me to get a few spreads done in a short amount of time. How is everyone else's project going?

Embellishing help needed.
There is nothing small/consistent from the sbtm kit this month that I can use across several photos. I'm going to put all my journaling in one 4X6 card. All the spots are full with something. I don't want to use label stickers.
What would you recommend I put on a few of the photos for a little somethin somethin?
I've already done half circles. I just am at a loss for ideas.

So much so, that I now want to get rid of all the PL 2024 pages I've done so far, and re-do them the same! 😫 But when I think about how many hours I've put into it...... maybe I'll just wait for PL 2025. And I also love your pages blemon. I wish the two of you hadn't shared your pages, then I would still be happy with mine hahaha!! (Kidding.... keep sharing!)

As a side note, it won't let me do the "quick quotes" thing anymore to respond to multiple people in one post. Is that gone now? Or is there a new way to do it?

Don't redo your pages though! You can always switch your style spread to spread, though. I definitely adjust week to week depending on what I'm working with and who is inspiring me at the moment. Years ago when I was still working on my style in Project Life (although I'm always working on my style in project life!) I challenged myself to do a week inspired by a specific crafter and then would switch it up each week. I picked people with completely different styles and made them work for me. I remember I did Kelly Purkey and Julie Fei-Fan Balzer for two of them, and their styles couldn't be more opposite.

What would you recommend I put on a few of the photos for a little somethin somethin? Like Chinagirl828 said, enamel dots, or small stars/hearts are usually my go-to. Or as lasteve1 said, word phrase strips are great for this. Also, the quick quotes for multiple people isn't working for me either (I'm using Chrome on a Macbook). It might be a glitch so maybe it will start working again?

I finally started my 2024 album this weekend. I’m a bit late, but I need to finish the previous year’s album before I start the new one and realized after cleaning up my 2023 supplies that I had almost all the monthly calendar pages from PP for 2023. So I figured I needed to do something with them! A little digital magic and I was able to make the missing month, then I added in all the important dates from my album and then I stamped to my hearts content. It was a lot of fun but time consuming, although I love the context it provides and I wish I had them for 2024 too! Add in a week-long trip, work amping up, and Week in the Life, and now it’s almost halfway through the year and I’m just starting! I have a bunch of SC and PP kits from the past few years that I was working with for last year, then supplementing with my stamps and stash. However, none of them are for January and after a few years of working with kits, I feel like I’ve lost my ability to stash dive for this project! Does anyone else struggle with January and February without a kit? I usually pick up SC kits on sale after the fact but don’t have the January kit, PP is no more, and I’ve used up the January kits I had. I’ve had to be really creative which is fun, but means it’s taking me a lot longer to do a few spreads. I feel like a scrappy toddler learning to walk again! Anyone else feel like when January rolls around, you forget how to project life, even though you were working on December 2023 just a bit ago? I do like the few spreads I have made so far but they are pretty minimal. Maybe it’s the pressure of a new album and a fresh start that makes me feel like I need to start strong. I think going through my stash and reminding myself of the products I have might be helpful. Any tips?

Any tips? This is me too, feeling like I need to start strong. I don't have a great solution, but I generally peruse instagram or watch project life youtube videos from years past and see what people were doing 10+ years ago (or more) in their albums. A lot of those pages are fairly simple but look lovely, and that reminds me that I don't have to have ALL THE THINGS on each spread and that some weeks can be sparse or minimal embellishing and others can have everything. I've also enjoyed watching how Ali Edwards has been approaching her PL this year, some weeks have all the things and other weeks it's just photos & words, or other times there's an element she uses throughout. Also, I haven't started 2024 yet either, so don't feel bad! I'm still slogging through 2022-23 and don't want to start 2024 until I'm done with at least one of the past years.

Just go for it. Remember that it's the whole, not the parts. Some weeks may be perfect and some you'll feel meh about but when you flip through it all, you will not mind what's not perfect, especially when it's done. And thanks to everyone else for the tips. I will try the word phrase stickers and maybe top it off with some dots. I have yet to bring those out for PL and I don't know why!

How's everybody doing with this?
I'm pretty much caught up.
I have two weeks photographed but I haven't posted to instagram yet.
I am editing photos for May 27 - June 2.
I'm pretty over the May kit. I liked it initially but I've really struggled with the florals and haven't used one yet.
June looks great. But it seems that liking the look of the kit and actually being able to use it are two different things.
I will NOT do December in Project Life. I'll use the stuff in December Daily. I'm already pretty over this and glad I'm almost halfway through.
It has gotten a lot faster to do the layouts. I love flipping through it. Will really appreciate this in a few years as documenting the building/reno of the house that we'll live in for hopefully the next 20 years is important to me. I doubt we'll be done before December so I'll put some spreads in there with just photos of each room as we finish up.

How's everybody doing with this? Still editing photos daily but not getting anything done in my PL. And now that the kid is home every day for summer break I doubt I'll get anything done. I'm hopeful but also keeping my expectations low so I won't be mad at myself.

How's everybody doing with this? I have made a grand total of 3 layouts for my 2024 album. I just haven't been feeling the motivation for this project yet, and I haven't taken as many photos as in previous years which probably plays into the lack of motivation. I still intend to do something for this year, I'm just not quite ready to start.

I've mentioned before that this year I am not doing a week per double page spread - I am just doing one big run-on album. I love it because on the weeks that I have a ton of photos, I don't have to try to cram them onto two pages. And the weeks that I have hardly any photos, I don't have to try to find filler photos to try and fill two pages. This means I have to scrap chronologically for this album, which is both good and bad.
I have completed - or nearly completed - 8 double page spreads so far. That takes me through to the end of February.

I'm firmly stuck at the end of March. I got side stracked with my WITL album, which I'm struggling with as well! I feel like I've got no oomph for scrapbooking the last few months. I really like the end product of a completed album but it's been a struggle lately.

July 2 is the halfway point of the whole year. Subtract December cause I am NOT doing project life and December Daily.
That leaves 335 days divided by 2. So my half of the year is June 15. I am almost halfway done.
I don't like unfinished projects so I'm going to keep going with this. I won't do it again. I don't think.
It's a lot. So I'm not doing anything else.
I love that I'm documenting the house progress. That's been great. I love documenting. But it's just a lot.
So almost halfway there for me.
I just finished May 27 - June 2.
Excited to move on to a new kit. I like the June kit and I hope it will be easy to use.

I don't like unfinished projects so I'm going to keep going with this. I won't do it again. I don't think. I totally get this feeling. In the years when I'd document like you are currently, a week at a time, I'd be so burnt out on the project I'd only do it every 4 years. I love looking back at those albums, there are stories that are included in those weekly pages that just don't make my albums these days, but I'm also glad not to have the mental burden of needing to keep up or complete it.

That's been great. I love documenting. But it's just a lot. So almost halfway there for me. I have found after doing Project Life for years it gets easier as you find your flow. Are you using the same page protector design each time? That really helps me cut down on the timing too. Do you do any bulk processing? I print my photos for about a month at a time and then put together each weekly spread. It comes together much quicker because I already have photos printed/selected + a kit to work with. Maybe you'd prefer just one monthly recap spread? Or a smaller album? Totally get moving on from this project if it is taking over your scrapbooking, but if you love it, maybe there is a way to downsize a bit to make it work for you long term.

I don't like unfinished projects so I'm going to keep going with this. I won't do it again. I don't think. I hope you do it again because I love seeing your pages, however, if it's becoming too much of a burden instead of fun, maybe take a break and do monthly or smaller albums like lasteve1 suggested. I took a break from PL for about 3 years and changed the size of my album too and those have helped me get more pages done. Also, I don't work in real time, meaning I just work on spreads when I feel like it. I jot down what we do every day in the Day One app and add photos highlighting that day, and if I don't have photos for the day, I just journal. When I am ready to create a spread, I go to the week in the app I want to create and print the photos and make the page. I also am the queen of unfinished projects so I don't have a single completed PL album, just random layouts from years past. If that bothers you, don't follow my lead.

maybe there is a way to downsize a bit to make it work for you long term. I may move to monthly spreads. I have been doing one week at a time. I think if I try to do more then I will be overwhelmed. The process is definitely getting faster. I used to work on it a little bit each day but now I do photos on one day and embellishments another and it goes together fine. I think the biggest problem is that the kits really don't stretch for an entire month, let alone one with 5 weeks. This is my first year so I don't have a big stash of cards and stuff. But I'll get through it. It's just not something I'm going to do yearly. If I do it again, I may do monthly spreads like Lisa V is doing.
