How's everybody doing with this? I'm almost done with 2021. I've been slightly more crafty with this year, so it's been slower for me. I'll try to post some photos of a page I just finished. All of the photos were very random, so I didn't even try to coordinate.
For 2022, I'm using a Simple Stories line throughout the year. I guess I'll see if it ends up being boring or just the thing to push me along since I don't have to be creative.

I guess I'll see if it ends up being boring or just the thing to push me along since I don't have to be creative. I think this is why projects like WITL work. Every day you use the same template/format so there is less decision fatigue. I'm using the same page protectors and that is working well. Sometimes I switch it out for the one that has 3 3x4s across the middle. And my inserts are always different. I have a bunch of things I can cut down or work with, some square, some rectangle.

I've used one of those yearly collections from SS over the last couple of years and really like how it removed some of the decisions for me. I still use whatever I want from my stash to make my pages but use those collections as a base, so I've got the same colour and style of text pieces and embellishments spread through the whole album even though it's not on every page. I didn't like any of those collections for this year and I wonder if that's part of the reason I haven't made a start on my album.

Well, I've actually made a start on this year. I got the SS True Colours sticker book in my last order and I've decided I'm going to use that as the starting point for my year. There are enough elements in there that have multiples, like the rosettes and the slide frames, that I feel like I can sprinkle it across a whole year, and I've got a few other pieces from the collection I can use as well. I planned all of my Jan layouts last night and printed everything that goes into pocket pages. Today I'm going to go through my supplies and pull out the things that are specific to Jan or Jan stories and add them to the page protectors.

I'm still going strong!
It's Monday and I'm hoping to find some time today to do last week's layout. I was really inspired by the days of the weeks cards in the June kit and I'm going to keep it simple and do one photo for day -- not sure but I will use those cards and the one 4X6 with the days too. I'll use that as my date card I think.
I am loving the June kit.
I still have a lot to work with.

Happy to say I'm caught up to April 😁. Pictures are all I pockets to the end of May but I still need to add in journalling. I'm running low on one style of pocket page protectors (style G) which are hard to find. I like the ones that have 4x6 vertical and horizontal with 3x4 slots and I haven't found a good replacement since BH got rid of them.

I was looking through some of my older pages (from 2013) and want to fill in the missing pages. I was inspired by what lasteve1 is doing with her daughter's scrapbooks and sharing on her youtube channel. I like how she uses her kits to make at least 2 pages (one in her current year and one in her daughter's catch up book) per kit. I have some weeks with the pictures printed out and for those I think I'll keep them weekly and try and hopefully remember what happened that week by looking at the photos or maybe if I can find my paper journal from back then that might help. I keep an online journal now via the Day One app so those are a lot easier to find.

Ali just posted her Week 16 and said she's been doing some spreads as part of the Stash class.
I also just watched Lisa's video for the June kit.
I don't always watch the videos for the sbtm kits but I love watching hers. She has such a creative brain. Her thought process is interesting to me and I always screenshot a couple of ideas.
She doesn't do a typical process page. It's more her talking about the design choices she's making.

One more page to go in 2021! These are all in the same page protector. I didn't even try to coordinate everything.

All of these were taken in bright morning light, so they look a bit washed out.

I just finished my PL album for 2022! 2023 is finished. I have bits of 2024 done, but there are more gaps than finished pages. Anyway, it feels great to be up to the current year 😊

My instagram for some recent spreads. I'm officially halfway done with what I'm doing for the year (up to November 30 with one page of Dec colors and maybe a photo of my December Daily supplies for Dec. 1 as that will end the week). Then I'm doing December Daily. http://instagram.com/p/C85bQsau6gP I think I've posted at least three layouts since I posted a link.

Wow this thread was so dead it took me three searches to find it. Anyway. I'm going to work on the first week of October today. I've been keeping up. I've given myself permission to not finish this project. As soon as I finish October, I'm going to put it away so I can start December Daily. I don't have room for both in my life. After the new year I may go back and finish November. Maybe a layout per week or maybe just one two-page layout with some inserts for the whole month. I don't know. I've never planned on doing December except for maybe a page to end the year and a photograph of December Daily. It won't bother me to not have it in there. December Daily is enough. Anyway. Here's my insta if you're not already following: www.instagram.com/projectbethlemon/I have a two spreads to post. I already took the photos. Hope everyone is still plugging away!

blemon, nice job keeping up. I’m finishing October daily and then going to do a big push for the month of November on project life. I probably have at least 20 weeks done so far.

Timely thread bump! I was just thinking about pulling out my PL stuff to continue working. I usually put it away to do regular layouts due to desk space. I'm definitely behind would like to get some more done before DD.

blemon & needtime2scrap - thanks for bumping it up! I have not done a thing except edit photos since March so I need to catch up! I've been working on regular layouts lately but I really miss working on PL layouts.

I had fallen off all hobbies in April, and just got back to my scrap space when school started back. I’ve been really plugging away and making steady progress. I’m only a couple weeks from being all caught up, which feels really good.
I hadn’t intended to do a strict week by week PL this year, and be more relaxed with it. Also I used 9x12. These are the two decisions that I think sabotaged me. I am a lot more productive with more structure, so the relaxed pacing just trips me up. And despite finding the 9x12 visually appealing for others, and I don’t dislike my own 9x12 pages, I find it SO DIFFICULT to work with. I’m constantly feeling like I need another column of space. I’m absolutely slower and more frustrated with this size. I can get pages in a 12x12 done so much faster.
2025 will be weekly 12x12 for me. It’ll be a momentous year, with my daughter graduating high school, and then beginning college (locally, she will still live at home). Lots of activities already on the calendar. The space will be needed!. I’m already looking forward to it.

I'm caught up through July. I have pictures printed and just need to carve out some time to put a few months together.
