What a stupid move by the guy who went home. I was screaming at the TV. He has no idea how he helped out those other two people. Oh dear. I knew he was going to go home. That immunity challenge was certainly different the first part anyways.

I was yelling at the TV, listen to Q. J is completely clueless. The absolute right person went home.

I know that guy would have bugged me to no end.. he was an idiot. How did he EVEN think he was playing his best game? And no matter what, you just don't give up on a challenge. You might be dead last dying, but you just don't say 'eh, we won't make it'. Did Cherie ever give up? NEVER.

I agree about who they sent home. Who in their right mind thinks several means seven?? To me several means 2 or 3.
And what about the girl who is allergic to everything? I see that as a HUGE problem and why they let her on the show is beyond me.

I laughed about J so hard thinking sending the other person home when he had no vote would be a major move. Also, bruh, you did not get blindsided. Jeff literally said things don't sound good for you right before the vote. What a clueless wonder! Also, if you can't lie, don't play Survivor!

I am so happy to have 2 Mississippi men on Survivor! It is about time. Q and Hunter seem like they will both be great representatives of the state. They also picked each other out in the preseason - Q had an Ole Miss football bookbag and tattoo and Hunter wore French Camp Academy pants. I'm going to try to go to a watch party at least once this season.

I was tired of hearing him talk about himself in the third person and then hear him say he got 'blindsided' lol.

But he was a big guy, probably stronger and faster than Miss Allergy. Will this be the tribe that just keeps losing and losing?

I started it this morning but won't have time to finish until after school today. I'm at the point where the two "savvy" task guys have failed, and the "strength" (or whatever it was called) guys are struggling. So far I really like the special ed teacher on the tribe that won the opening challenge. I love how she said she'd been practicing building a fire for a long time. Sometimes we see players who act like they've never watched an episode of "Survivor". Like the "Amazing Race" ones who don't learn how to drive a standard car before they come on the show. Also, I would love if people in this thread could just come out and say the names (if you know them of course, lol) of players who go home, instead of the vague "I'm happy with the one who went home" and "the one who went home shouldn't have done that" or whatever. The thread title does say "spoilers" so anyone who opens the thread knows what they're getting into. I'm not finished with the first episode so clearly, since I opened the thread, I don't care about knowing ahead of time who went home. -- Just one of my pet peeves about these reality TV threads.

Also, I would love if people in this thread could just come out and say the names (if you know them of course, lol) I don't usually remember their names until at least the merge, unless I have loved or hated them for an episode or two. So far I really like the special ed teacher on the tribe that won the opening challenge. I love how she said she'd been practicing building a fire for a long time. I like her too. Don't remember her name either LOL.

I never know anyone's name. Q was the only one I remembered because it is one letter.
Otherwise it is allergy girl, idol finder, crying guy, addled brain girl, etc.

Yeah I don't remember names at all unless one just sticks. It's like huskergal.. idiot boy, allergy girl, or by their looks... pink hair girl, guy with glasses, or guy wearing gross underwear... on and on. If I can't remember my kids names then I am lost on names on Survivor.
The team that won I was actually surprised. It seemed like they were a weaker team in strength. But they are working great together.
Oh yes I forgot, the bigger black girl.. love her so far.... she was preparing for this.. building a fire like a rock star.... THAT is what you are supposed to know. I'm rooting for her (unless something comes up later that is weird..lol)

I agree cadoodlebug! To me a couple is 2...several is 3 or 4 I was happy Jelinski went home. When he watches it back, I hope he sees the error of his ways.

I watched videos before the season. Here's how I am remembering people:
Soda - reminds me of Maryanne. Bubbly Special Ed Teacher Maria - older woman who doesn't really seem older - carried the puzzle piece on her back! Tim - college coach Venus - tiny Bhanu - recent US citizen - got lots of air time Tevin - screams actor Randen - Orlando Ben - musician Hunter - started med school but dropped out to teach; teaches at a boarding school about an hour from me; has set up full Survivor seasons in the summer for his students Liz - Shambo look Tiffany - artist because someone told her she couldn't be an artist Jelinsky - young and goofy (and likes to quit things, apparently) Jem - has survival skills; Victoria Secret manager Kenzie - salon owner - I liked her so much more on the show than in pre-season Charlie - Spencer 2.0 Q - Ole Miss football player; top real estate agent; needs to brag less in the game than he was in pre-season Moriah, not Maria - may be lost without her spreadsheets Jess - rugby player - needs to get her social game together

I was surprised at how out of it Jess seemed most of the show. Have we seen someone be affected by the conditions to this degree before?
I think the vote was right for Jelinsky. He folded so quickly when ‘threatened’ during the journey yet told his tribe that whole thing without realizing how they would react.
Jeff really called him out during tribal when he said he never gives up etc. I loved it!!

I'm glad Jelinsky went home, although interview with Dalton made me feel sad for him.
It will be interesting to see how the purple tribe does in the long run.

Sweat & saavy challenges too hard???
Did anyone think the fill up the bucket with water challenge was almost impossible? I know they have practice players … but still… it seemed too hard. The one guy said he couldn’t wear shoes for a month because they were cut up from walking on the coral. Geez dude… any you put shoes on??
And the puzzle game. What the heck??

Episode is still going here, but the challenge was insane. I was getting very stressed watching that. I don’t know why they were seemingly making Jess work on the highest part of the puzzle. I guess the men were holding several blocks and had to be there a long time, but it seems like one of the taller members should have been lifting the middle piece.

That puzzle was awful. I am always amazed that it seems there is always one bad tribe every season.
I laugh at all the people planning for the merge. Focus on the current game status.
I hope Banthu (crying guy) finds and idol and his team loses again. That will make for an interesting tribal.

Jess needed to go - while she seems like a nice person she wasn't gelling with her tribe and she wasn't very helpful in challenges. Maybe without her the tribe will have a better shot at winning, or at least coming in second, in challenges.
As I'm getting to know the players a little better I have to say Liz annoys the heck out of me. She talks about herself in the third person a lot which bugs me but at the challenge when she was sitting out and cheering on her team I wanted to tell her to shut the F up. I don't know why but the cheering just grated on my nerves and if I was a player on her tribe I would have lost concentration due to the fact that she was so obnoxious.
Also annoying to me - Venus when she was whining about her toe getting run over. It's Survivor - there are injuries and mishaps all the time. It wasn't done on purpose and in the heat of the game the rest of tribe was just trying to win. I don't think they ignored her on purpose.
I liked Soda last week, but this week before the start of the challenge when she was taunting the other tribe I started to dislike her. It just felt mean-spirited. And when Venus (I think it was her) pointed out that Soda always grabs for the idol when Jeff gives it to the tribe that made me dislike her as well.
The only player I'm rooting for so far is Banhu. I love his passion for the game. I honestly don't know the players on the other two tribes well enough yet to have a favorite from them.

WHATEVER.. she is going to be voted out.. she seems snobby and woe is me. BLECH.

The one guy said he couldn’t wear shoes for a month because they were cut up from walking on the coral. Geez dude… any you put shoes on?? And the puzzle game. What the heck?? I know it's a week late but my husband and I wondered if the answer to the water challenge was to put one bucket inside the other, which would close off the holes on the sides, then you could just put your finger in the hole in the bottom and carry a completely full bucket back and forth. Then we figured if you alternated between the two contestants, each person would get a rest in between each walk and perhaps be able to last longer because they were doing half as much walking. There had to be some trick like that that they were missing (small sticks in the bucket holes to dam them off?) because it was impossible to fill those giant vessels with 1/4 cup of water at a time.

Liz grates on our nerves too. Talking about how much money she has, etc. is not the way to win the game!
Is she the one who is allergic to everything? I couldn't remember from the first episode.
