Sweat & saavy challenges too hard??? Did anyone think the fill up the bucket with water challenge was almost impossible? I know they have practice players … but still… it seemed too hard. The one guy said he couldn’t wear shoes for a month because they were cut up from walking on the coral. Geez dude… any you put shoes on?? And the puzzle game. What the heck?? I know it's a week late but my husband and I wondered if the answer to the water challenge was to put one bucket inside the other, which would close off the holes on the sides, then you could just put your finger in the hole in the bottom and carry a completely full bucket back and forth. Then we figured if you alternated between the two contestants, each person would get a rest in between each walk and perhaps be able to last longer because they were doing half as much walking. There had to be some trick like that that they were missing (small sticks in the bucket holes to dam them off?) because it was impossible to fill those giant vessels with 1/4 cup of water at a time. I read somewhere that they weren't allowed to use their shirts to plug the holes, so I doubt they would have let them stack the buckets together like that.

I did like the one guy (Renden?) telling Venus to hold on to the idol after the challenge. Soda is definitely grabby! I definitely think her (Venus) burn her team to the ground after the merge feelings could hurt her, especially if they throw a challenge to get rid of her.
I wonder what happens if a team makes it to the merge without losing and someone has the Beware Advantage/Idol - how would they go back to the same spot to look for the next clue? Same thing if there is a tribe shake up - if Renden is on a different beach, is he still out of a vote? Would he have a different spot where the Advantage was waiting for him to find the key?
Since Tiffany has the purple idol, I don't hold out much hope for Bhanu finding an idol.
The green tribe is interesting- they are all super friendly to each other, but I wonder if things will be nasty when they go to tribal? Especially with Maria and Charlie playing to the middle.

Im here but a few weeks late... lol.. i really thought of letting the whole season record and then binge it all...
But ive caught up on these 3 episodes... the purple team... man so close... they can not catch a break... i guess until they did... i dont really like Bhanu... i hate the excessive emotions... i really hope he goes next week...
Was glad to see Jelinsky go 1st... he really was bad for the 1st day!!! And ok with Jess being gone... she sucked too...
Dont like Liz and her super screechy cheerleading... very annoying... dont like Venus and her everyone hates me cuz im the next Parvati bs.... those are really the only 2 on my ugghhhh radar...
I liked the challenges so far!!

I feel really bad for Renden, especially since it appears that it was just a pinched nerve. I understand why they had to pull him though. Hopefully he'll get a second chance to play again.
I think Bhanu's disclosures will come to bite him in the butt. Will be interesting to see what happens.
I wonder if they'll rehide Renden's advantage on the yellow/red tribe.
I also wonder if the green tribe will find the advantage Jem hid in the brush. I did think it was interesting that she mentioned she would get instructions if her tribe doesn't lose - wonder if that is foreshadowing to her tribe's continued dominance? I also don't understand why she didn't bury the box in the spot where she found it. The leaves seemed like a way more obvious place for it to be found by others.

We were saying the same thing. OMG Bhanu is driving us nuts!! We can't wait for him to go home. Talk about spilling your guts to the other teams. Yikes!

I've just started watching the most recent episode. My only comment for now is about their clothes...does it seem like they all have more warm clothes that in past seasons? I don't really remember the most recent seasons (I think I didn't watch much of last season, for some reason) but I do remember back when it seemed like they had nothing warm to wear. Except back in the very beginning when they practically had entire wardrobes with them. lol. Maybe now it's swinging back to allowing at least some basic warm things just to keep everyone from getting too cold.

I think they are allowed more clothes in response to the #metoo movement and complaints about women not having enough clothes, especially after the events of season 39. Additionally, I wonder if more clothes makes up for the lack of food they are given in the new era.

You know, Bhanu's repeated saying that he doesn't want to win a million dollars, he wants to win a million hearts reminds me of something Princess Diana said when she was divorcing Charles. She said something along the lines of she didn't want to be the Queen of England, she wanted to be the queen of people's hearts.
If I were on his tribe, I'd be getting a villain edit right about now. I cannot handle that much emotion and crying. I'd be saying stuff and rolling my eyes nonstop. LOL, can you imagine if he and Emily from last season had been on a tribe together? 😂

The purple team is so bad. Bhanu gotta go. I can't watch one more episode of him crying. I thought Jelinksy was the dumbest player ever. Bhanu wears that crown. Spill the tea to the other tribes. Praying to God to give you one more day. Do you really think God injured a guy so you could stay in the game? You don't want to play the game. You have have no idea how to play the game. You took the spot of someone a lot more deserving. If you can't lie, you can't play Survivor.

My only comment for now is about their clothes.. We noticed last episode at tribal that most of their clothes looked like they had been to the dry cleaners! They were so clean and fresh looking.

Watching in tandem with the current (amazing) season of Australian Survivor and the contrast between 2 and 3 tribes is stark. One wrong move in a 6 person tribe early and you are gone. There’s just so much mess nuance in the smaller tribes.
Bhanu last night annoyed the heck out of me. He needs to go next.

Ugh Bhanu! Stop it. He just makes me cringe. He does have some good lines (mermaid dragon) and besides his meltdowns, he seems super- astute. I would love it if he were fooling the tribe and the audience and was this really good player.
I just wish they would gave a surprise move next week and merge the three into two. Then my “fave” mermaid dragon would go home. “Are my eyes really green now?”
In related news: AllieC, you are so lucky you can watch Australian Survivor. The YT channels I watched some 2024 episodes on have been deleted or 2024 episodes have been private. It is so much better than US Survivor. IMO.

Finally! I still don't like him even after his back story. Why did they let Bhanu take a spot on the show? What a waste.
At least we can focus on something else now. I want a different team to go to tribal council!

I want a different team to go to tribal council! Jeff says he'd still cast Bhanu, for his "authenticity." I wonder if a team will purposefully lose a challenge, to get rid of a tribe mate before a tribe swap or the merge? I could see the yellow tribe doing this, just to get rid of Soda.

This was interesting. Thanks for posting! I had read the older rules of how clothing was chosen, but hadn't seen these changes in writing before. The contestants do look a bit more comfortable with the chosen clothing items this season, and making it more "even" in warmth, etc. just makes good sense.

So the yellow team won reward and immunity! Reward was pastries and fruit. Green purple team FINALLY won immunity and won a smaller batch of pastries and fruit AND they got their flint.
Hunter, Tim and Q went on an adventure and talked about the merge and how they can each bring in one person to form an alliance. Hunter accepted the challenge and had to put 20 logos from different seasons in order. Yikes! He didn't get it all correct so he lost his vote at the next tribal.
Jem found the idol from the box that she found earlier. The plan, she thought, was to vote out Ben and but they blindsided her. She didn't speak to anyone, just walked down the path. I loved the blindside.
Next week is either the merge or a shuffle, I couldn't tell from the previews.

Wow, that was 90-minutes of jam packed excitement. I just don't understand why they didn't vote out Venus instead of Mo. I must have missed something. The two teams were SO mismatched and I was gobsmacked that the team with 5 girls and Charlie almost won!
And Hunter having 10 minutes to find the key to unlock the box to get his immunity idol. My heart was racing for him!
I know there's lots more but I'm leaving in the morning and need to finish packing!

My heart was racing for him! I know there's lots more but I'm leaving in the morning and need to finish packing! Venus is an easy future vote, because it seems like no one trusts her, while Moriah seemed like she could play a better social game. I think Charlie voted for Venus just in case Moriah's scroll has said she was safe. I also think Yanu wanted to break up the super strong Siga tribe, but I would have gone for Charlie over Moriah. Why pick off the weakest member (even if only in terms of social standing) when you could get a stronger player out? I wasn't that surprised at how close it was for the challenge - it ALWAYS comes down to the puzzle - that's why they are last in the challenge. If Hunter had been the one to sit it out, and he and Tiff had swapped places, the other team would have won. I did think it was interesting that Tevin commented on how good Hunter is with challenges - wonder if that will hurt him. Hunter did get lucky with his no vote tribal council as he was immune - and I understand why he felt the need to announce it (so people wouldn't think he had an advantage and targeted him for it).

That challenge was crazy. I was so rooting for the women's team.
I don't understand the Mo vote. I would have absolutely gone for Charlie. That will really hurt the tribe in challenges. He is very likeable.
Venus gotta go and she will.

I am hoping that now there has been the Merge that we will see more about members of other tribes other than the one that was up against Tribal Council each time. I too would have preferred to have Venus voted off rather than Mo, but I am always more partial to the nerds than to the pretty girls who ooze so much confidence.
Do you think the Plus One alliance will hold together? Or is the one guy working too hard to cement it?
