I'm making some Christmas cards and hoping to keep up with posting them as I finish them. Here are the first 6. The collection is 12x12" from Paper Rose, a very nice classic cozy kind of Christmas theme. I used an older Sheetload for the background to get started, but two of these (the plaid ones) are from one side of a big 12x12 design. Paper Rose has sentiments on the back of their cover sheet so I'm using those on most of the cards. July share by jo.blackford, on Flickr

Their paper is good quality, quite a heavy weight, but it has a coating on it that some people don't like. I hate how glossy it is. When I'm trying to arrange a layout the papers slide everywhere. It is really frustrating. They make some really nice papers, though, so I continue to use them.

another layout for a Shimelle class - the background is supposed to be 50-50 but it's more 30-70 because of the scrap I wanted to use. Watercolours and stamping on the background. and another one - also for a Shimelle class

I love that AussieMeg - those are fabulous photos and I love your journalling. Great colours and I don't think I realised that Roos were so big

I love that AussieMeg - those are fabulous photos and I love your journalling. Great colours and I don't think I realised that Roos were so big These are 'only' Eastern Greys. The Red kangaroos are the really big ones, but they're found mostly in the desert regions. Some of those can get up to 1.8m, or nearly 6'. I just realised that the photos on the second page are not to scale, so the photo of the roo inbetween the two photos of me is actually zoomed in more, which makes him look bigger than he was. But he was still pretty big!!

Catching up with my posting. On Tuesday, I spent the day at a LSS with justjac , and managed to complete three two pagers. They are all travel theme, about trips on which I was not invited LOL. Fortunately, my kids and grandkids send me photos to scrap. "Gotta keep the old woman busy so she stays out of trouble", right? This first one I think I photographed with the pages switched. The big photo should go far right. I may come back to rectify the photo, but if not, I still plan to put it in the album the opposite way from this: 21 in Mexico by Gramma Dee, on Flickr These two LO's document a roadtrip our oldest ds took in March/April. His family and his wife's sister's family drove two vehicles (4 adults and 5 kids in total) from Calgary to Phoenix to spend Easter with his mother-in-law who winters there. Of course there was a stop in Vegas. I started with a NJFB sketch for the left page on the first one... destination Adventure by Gramma Dee, on Flickr POINTS: six pages (120), created & shared (12). Twenty-rour photos for the Donna challenge (24). P-2 enamel dots, P-15 big words, S/I-2 arrows, S/I-11 squares, Th-8 travel, Th-11 two generations, Th-14 selfie stick photos, Th-16 road trip. Total: 164.

Here is the cell phone bag crochet project I should've refused to do and complained about in the chat thread (nothing compared to my curse-filled internal monologue, lol) but it came out OK in the end and is on its way to my SIL's coworker in Hawaii. I used some leftover yarn and a tutorial from YT that I'm happy to send to anyone else who wants one! July Share by jo.blackford, on Flickr

This layout is for Linda 's Wild Animals theme team challenge. I've been wanting to scrap this story for a while, and this challenge was the perfect prompt. Just a heads-up that the link is glitchy - it still works if I click on the broken image icon but it's not showing up in the thread. I left you some love for this cool spread on Flickr.

grammadee - love the travel pages - I also don't get to go on many of the fabulous trips I get photos to scrapbook. I love how the colours and embellishments really capture the vibe of each trip - calm for Mexico, adventurous for Arizona, and fastpaced and colourful for Vegas! AussieMeg and joblackford - the layout still shows in the thread for me so the glitch must be either sporadic or perhaps depends on which device we're using (I'm on a windows desktop but I can also see it on my iphone)

Another layout for a Shimelle class - VERY out of the box for me, I even cut my page protector (wow!) First image is closed, second shows the flap open. This one isn't for a class but is obviously Shimelle inspired. joblackford - I'm glad that project is done for you - it looks very nice

I need to catch up on comments... joblackford, I plan to head over to Flickr in a moment to look at your lovely cards. Your half n half pages are really pretty, Linda. That stamped background is really pretty, and I love the way the pic of flowers at the bottom is offset by the floral pp at the top of the other. As usual, every element on each page is right on theme. Love the eye chart for the glasses page and the book paper for the book sale one. And I love the addition of the kitty pic: what cat can resist a paper bag? And of course you have tea cups and tools and pp with car keys LOL. I also love the different papers you have chosen to go together on each page. And I love the pic's of your family, but my fav is of the two kitties focused on the excitement outside their window. craftymom101, your Summer page is so light and fresh and fun! Love how you used those strips of pp to back the photo, and of course that splattered background--looks like splattered sunshine.

I plan to head over to Flickr in a moment to look at your lovely cards. Thanks for all the love. I'm not sure if my reply worked but the sentiments are printed on the back of the cover sheets of Paper Rose collections. I love the convenience and it reduces waste too.
