Linda it took me a minute to remember the lobster die - I think I got it with a howdy die I sent to grammadee so random! But glad you could make use of it. Way to go figuring out how to use that large background design. Looking at the page I would’ve guessed that you added the coral/weed design yourself in that spot - works really well. Ha ha! I almost used that Howdy die on my Calgary Stampede page, but ended up using a Yee Haw sticker instead.

Managed to finish the other four LO's from Tuesday. Two of them are about Canada Day in our home town. Still have one more LO to do on other activities that day... Canada Day @ home by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Happy Dunk a Dad Day! by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Our reliance on electronics to connect us these days is always a wonder to me. Our reliance on electronics to connect us these days is always a wonder to me It is amazing isn't it. I have a friend that went to the Paris Olympics. She messaged me through Facebook a couple of times. One from the Eifel Tower - and once from the Women's Basketball final. It was like I was right there - Her in the stands watching, Me sitting in my recliner watching on TV. I could hear the crowd on the message and on TV. Amazing

I am way behind in commenting. Starting on Page Six: craftymom101, your Together page is gorgeous. I struggle with toned down colour schemes, but you made this line sing! And I really love the super bright flower page. That page design is one I could see using over and over, although I could never get the clusters right... Love how you used browns on the garden page, such a great counter point to the greens and the bright butterflies. Your heritage pages are definitely a labour of love, Linda. So much work to preserve your family's stories. And your nature pages are stellar. Love the colour combo on your killdeer page. Glad you got those naughty kitties pinned down on a page. So cute! And kudo's for documenting the everyday togetherness of your family. That mechano pp is the perfect background for the fun. And you remain the QUEEN of perfect little touches! Love the little barbecue, the puzzle pieces, the little flowers--always perfectly chosen and placed. And don't get me started on that perfect paper behind the Red Lobster photo! There is love on Flickr for ya, AussieMeg, joblackford, breetheflea, and @craftyrabbit Thanks so much, Peas, for all the inspiration!

Ha ha. I found a letter A sticker stuck to my foot. Hmmm Where did THAT come from? Now that I look at the photo above, I realize it was supposed to go in the title. I DO know how to spell BREATHE... Now I have to find another A though cuz that one doesn't look so good...

Finally finished some cards These were a tidying/decluttering project too because they were made from the negative space scraps from the "hi" cover plate die which I have had stashed for months. I also used a bunch of random color panels from my scrapbook dot com A2 "cardstock" pads. These will have a "have the best day!" stamped inside and will go to Bring Smiles to Seniors Aug 13hi cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr

Our reliance on electronics to connect us these days is always a wonder to me. Can't imagine a bunch of teens/young adults in my day sitting around a living room in complete silence... That's a really interesting thing to document in your albums. It really is quite different to how we grew up, and isn't necessarily something that you would know from looking at other photos of family gatherings. It's fun to see everyone with their unguarded faces and postures too, relaxing at home.

Love those purple and gold stars Linda Very pleasing to the eye. If your daughter came to UW there would be color continuity. I guess no one picks their school based on the colors but I'd be tempted to eliminate some on those grounds. (no brown and orange teams for me).

I think she's only looking in Virginia and Florida. I suspect she'll end up with a Florida school due to the lure of in-state tuition

I've been sitting on this one for a couple of weeks, and as we're nearing the end of the month, I'm just going to call it done. I forgot to make a note of what kit I used, I'll have to trawl through my stash later and find it. It's a scraplift of a page by Mandy Melville on CVS.

Two layouts from earlier this month I hadn't posted yet, and three that were mostly done, but I finished them up today. A Day of Thrifting by BreetheFlea, on Flickr Retails by BreetheFlea, on Flickr These two are both about thrifting, and since I made one page and still had the stuff out, I decided to make the other with the scraps. They might end up next to each other in my album since the photos were taken in the same week. Usually my facing album pages do not coordinate at all... Apollo by BreetheFlea, on Flickr Photo of the guinea pig taken at the (what would be the first of four ) vet's office visits. Despite being told she needed surgery or to be put to sleep, she's still alive and kicking. Greek Week by BreetheFlea, on Flickr Chef's Kiss by BreetheFlea, on Flickr Two of four pages about my kids cooking. I made DS (15) page a while ago (it had a giant burger in it...) and still need to make the one for DS (10). They actually cooked 8 meals total, but I decided to just make one page for each kid. And yes, my kitchen is missing cabinet doors. I was repainting them last summer when I took these photos, but then summer ended, and this summer we were busy doing yard projects... someday I will have to make a page about having cabinet doors again

grammadee - love your Canada Day layouts with all the patriotic accents! And the Wifi PW page - that's awesome. Back in my day we all had books out (and truthfully sometimes my kids do still) but I have some photos of everyone on their devices. Love the layering on Naomi's page. That filmstrip with butterflies is the perfect accent for the summer flowers! joblackford - great use of scraps and if you hadn't said, I would never have known that they were scraps. AussieMeg - love the colour scheme and mix of patterns on Car Swap. breetheflea - I love that you documented thrifting - I really should do a page or two on DH and his love of garage sales, thrift stores, and flea markets. The colours and patterns you chose really fit the theme. Glad Apollo is still hanging in there. What a cutie! I love the simple colour scheme - perfect for his fur colours. Great job documenting your kids cooking - and well done for teaching them! Their meals look delicious! craftymom101 - I like how the subdued browns colour scheme really accents the hiking photo and lets it pop. beachy - you've been busy scrapping! I really like how you used embellishments to frame the photo on the birthday page Those kittens are simply adorable - I just want to scoop them all up for a cuddle. The simple design makes them the focus and the little heart with the title is just perfect! Fun Hallowe'en photos and just the right amount and type of themed embellishments! grammadee - awesome photos of what looks like an amazing family adventure. I love your layered title!

Time to catch up on comments: joblackford, I love how you save all your negatives from your cutting plates and then turn them into a whole new set of cards! So colourful and--I am sure--very much appreciated by the people who receive them. craftymom101, I saw this page on the NJFB site and knew immediately it was one of yours. I absolutely love how you layer photo mats, with all the different edges and little diecuts/stickers tucked in among the papers. I had seen those papers and thought "blah", but you have created some marvelous pages from them. Linda, that crown is cute. Hope she has a banner Senior year! I like how you went with complementary colours to highlight the photo. Awesome pic's of the kitty in the tunnel and perfect title! AussieMeg, breetheflea, beachy, there is love on Flickr.

Here's the little lap blanket I've been hooking away at all summer. It got as big as the leftover yarn would allow. And I really did cut it fine with almost every color - playing yarn chicken! I lost a couple of times... http://instagram.com/p/C_Vqgw0vt3a

Sungold is the most cheerful blanket I've worked on so far! I made a full size one with the CAL and a baby sized blanket with the same colors in a colorwash ripple, and I still have more yarn to make another one ☀️ I love (almost) all of Lucy's color schemes.
