Welcome to the Q-3 team chat! AussieMeg and I decided to try ONE chat thread for all team players. Let's see how this goes.
One of the easiest ways to earn points is to post here at least once each day. There is even a bonus for keeping that up, multiple days. Check out the challenges list.
Meg's Magnificent Memory Makers (M4): AussieMeg (team leader) Linda, Shakti, kitbop, nylene, ComplicatedLady, angel97701, @petscrapper, christinec68, scrappinwithoutpeas, Scrapper100. Papercrafting DeeVa's grammadee (team LEADER), Ryann, katiekaty, gramma, joblackford, natscraps, Chinagirl828, boymom5, joyfulnana, **GypsyGirl**, paget, beachy.
Let's start out by chatting about the FIRST crafty project you will be working on this quarter. Doesn't have to be big. Could be to make one birthday card, or a single page. Maybe you plan to clean out one drawer...
My first LO will be with photos from my dgd's prom last week. What about you?

I'm not sure - I have three projects sitting on my desk right now...
1. some flowers to colour, fussy cut, and turn into cards 2. some photos from Dec 2013 at my MILs house 3. 2 family history writeups
so hopefully one of those

Thanks for starting the thread fellow captain! I promise not to slack off and make you do all the work. And if you feel that I am not pulling my weight, feel free to send me a stern PM!
There are three four big projects that I should be working on: Thailand 2023 album; Perth 2024 album; Project Life 2024. And I just thought of another one – Vietnam 2017 album! I really want to get the Thailand 2023 album done, because we’re going back there in August. There is no way I’m going to get it done by then, though.

I look forward to the single team chat thread!
I got all my Feb photos into my PL album over the weekend, so I plan to keep adding cards/papers/embellishments I definitely want to use into those pockets as I get some time this week.

I usually start every month with Crafty Al’s Sheet Load of Cards. I’m also still experimenting with embossing folders and should either make or abandon making a small scrapbook project commemorating a wonderful weekend.

Hello everyone! I am very excited to be dipping my toes into scrapbooking teams and challenges again. I will be starting out with some organizing - handmade cards, then completed layouts, then photos. In between, I'll be making pages but I am not sure which pictures or stories that I'll start with.

Hi crafty friends! First: I was glad to see that I had been assigned to the "chatty team" (everyone knows who the peas who keep threads moving are!) because I'm rubbish at reliably chatting myself...so it's ironic that we're doing a 2 team chat now! But I'm actually really glad it's a 2 team chat Second: I am just finishing up "camping 2021" in my album, only have a divided page to finish. So my next step is printing some trip photos from 2023 and getting a trip scrapped. That also implies that I need to get my printer working - we haven't managed to get it to talk to us since we moved and our network changed... grrr!

I am also pleased at having a single chat thread AussieMeg - thanks for being my team leader! I'm looking forward to seeing more awesome travel pages from you this summer (winter) paget - well done being that up-to-date! Chinagirl828 - you sound very organised Shakti -I enjoy seeing your sheetload takes! christinec68 - welcome back. there is an organising thread if you haven't seen it - loads of good tips and organising questions usually get good responses kitbop - sorry about the printer - is it possible to plug it into your computer via USB? The one wireless printer I had never did connect wirelessly and I ended up tethering it and using it wired.

My first project will be a scrapbook page about going to dinner with 2 of our girls. That will be all I will accomplish the next week because of a lot of traveling.
I'm glad for a one-team chat thread too.

Yeah for one chat team thread . . . now we can keep up with everyone.
I am working on DT cards for my Retro Rubber Blog challenge. I like to get ahead so I don't have to create under pressure. I've been focusing on cards the last few months well b/c scrapping memories are just harder now with DS2 no longer in contact.
I might try the SLoC as well, start on Christmas?
Lots of wind here today, gust to 30 mph and white caps on the lake. I'm learning what a summer is like in Northern MN. We had summer last Tuesday, DH and I did fun water stuff on the Efoil and then for a boat ride after dinner. It was the first day of 80+ weather.

nylene - safe travels. Looking forward to seeing your dinner page - I always enjoy your layouts angel97701 - Sounds like you're enjoying the summer on the lake even if the weather isn't always summery and hot. Are you all done with travelling back?

We are always telling nervous newbies to the challenge teams that it's not really about the points, but rather the encouragement and camaraderie. I can not thing of a single better method of really demonstrating that than having a single chat thread, so I am thrilled that we're trying it!

Hello everyone! I’m fresh off a weekend crop so my first order of business is putting the collections I was working with back in their respective places. It’s going to be a busy week for me this week so I’m not sure how much scrapping I’ll get done. I have many projects I want to work on but I need to prioritize and choose my next scrappy adventure.

I kinda love this experiment. I hope it ends up being a good idea once we get to the end of it. I'm in the middle of a CTMH mini album kit that was a freebie/gift from an SCT scrapbooking event a couple years ago. I'm doing a craft show later this month so I'm trying to get through projects that are either partially done or kits. So far, so good. I've made a bit of a dent in the WIP section of my room.

One chat thread, yay! I already finished my first project... but only because I had been procrastinating and didn't get it done yesterday! I finished a card and bookmark for katiekaty's granddaughter who is in hospital. I have a few other almost-finished cards on my desk that I'm sick of moving out of the way. The Sheetload this month is not really my jam - I just used up the last of my 5x7" envelopes and really don't want to buy any more. I think I can adapt it to an A2 size and 6x6 paper pretty easily so I guess that will be my next priority.

Yes, I meant to bop back in and say, "Hey, 5x7 cardmakers (looking at you grammadee ), you'll LOVE this month's SLoC!" I definitely used some of mine 10 Sheetloads ago but I'll see if I have more. I could do a half a sheet load or something depending on what inventory says....

Hello, nervous newbie here! Well I’m not actually new to the board, just a long time lurker who never posts.
I haven’t scrapped in several years so I think I’m just going to jump back in where I left off which was the end of my 2010 family album. I think I just have Christmas to do. And I need to get photos printed for 2011. Planning to get started tomorrow. My husband is away until Saturday on a fishing trip so I have the house to myself.

I'm not planning on 5x7 for this sheetload either - I don't want to have to buy envelopes. beachy - welcome! a house to yourself is perfect for scrapping! I'm headed to the scrapbook table now - I want to do something today even if it's just starting a project

I am brain dead after a whole day celebrating Canada Day in town. I am super happy to see so many people chatting in this thread! Don't have the time or the brain power to respond to everyone, so just quick quoting a few. Second: I am just finishing up "camping 2021" in my album, only have a divided page to finish. So my next step is printing some trip photos from 2023 and getting a trip scrapped. That also implies that I need to get my printer working - we haven't managed to get it to talk to us since we moved and our network changed... grrr! I had to call the Geek Squad to get my printer and PC talking to each other again. Seems to me he got them connected through Bluetooth and then after that they started connecting in the usual way. Planning to get started tomorrow. My husband is away until Saturday on a fishing trip so I have the house to myself. Awesome time to get back into scrapping! Hope you got some time and that it was enjoyable. Oh, and I have a new chat question: What is the colour combo that shows up most often in your scrapbooks? I tend to combine teal with alot of different colours, but in summer it is usually with white and green.

So, I make far, far more cards than scrapbooks, and some of my cards I chose the colors and papers, while many were dictated by classes or kits, but.... Taking a quick glance through my photos, blues and greens show up the most (this makes sense to me), probably followed by pinks and purples (this kind of surprises me), with red/yellow/orange/neutrals least represented. Green with pink is probably the single most common combo for me. It is one I have liked since childhood, but I don't think I realized how much of a go-to it is for me. I have been hearing (not consistently or always, but often) that it doesn't really work for just as long, but it's really only a variation of green and red, complementary colors. EtA: P.S. I found exactly two 5x7 envelopes in my stash, so I think with two pieces of card stock (plus scraps for the sentiment circles) and two 6x6 PPs, I can make NOT a sheet load of two cards. P.P.S. Does anyone know when azcrafty is due back from Hungary? Should someone else post the June SLoC challenge and open a thread?

What is the colour combo that shows up most often in your scrapbooks? I really have no idea. I use ALL the colours but not on the same layout usually. I do love black and white with just a pop of colour but usually my colours are chosen with the photo (or sometimes the theme) in mind. I found exactly two 5x7 envelopes in my stash, so I think with two pieces of card stock (plus scraps for the sentiment circles) and two 6x6 PPs, I can make NOT a sheet load of two cards. I did NOT find 5x7 envelopes in my stash so I downsized and made a extra-mini sheetload of two in the standard size.

P.P.S. Does anyone know when azcrafty is due back from Hungary? Should someone else post the June SLoC challenge and open a thread? I don't see anything on her Instagram for the CT so I'm going to guess she's taking this month off. I'm sure she won't mind if you go ahead and make a thread. Or I can... I need to do some weeding and walk across town on an errand this afternoon so I don't think I'll be making any cards today.

Oh, and I have a new chat question: What is the colour combo that shows up most often in your scrapbooks? White paper + black type + whatever color the photos are! On cards, all the colors of the rainbow and all the colors in between too and black + white

adding this here so I can find and remember to include at point counting time, lol
I just spent 3 hours labelling and sorting digital photos. My sister recently found an old camera card of my mum's and shared with me. There were photos on it from 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2017. BUT it helped me pull a couple of photos out of the unidentified folder (because they were duplicates(scans of printed pics) of ones on the card and the card photos had date data). I am totalling counting this towards organising points.

WARNING: Job Search Angst Rant Ahead The job I don't think I really want I should hear about this week.
The job I think I really want (interviews on site last Thursday), I probably won't hear any feedback until next week (small chance of something tomorrow).
The interviews I had yesterday and Friday, another really desirable job where the interviews went really well, have closed the listing for new candidates, but they did some more phone screens this week. They're trying to hire quickly but I shouldn't expect to hear until late next week.
AAARGH! I hate waiting! And I should keep applying, but there don't seem to be new opportunities popping up this week with the holiday and people on vacation. Which is of course, also why all the feedback on all the interviews Is taking FOReffingEVER!
