I’ve gone over my RDA of people today - some folks on the bus home were the last straw - so I am looking forward to a quiet afternoon. I think I put the last stitches into my crochet blanket at craft group today, though, so I get the finishing bonus on top of double crafty time points Now, hoping to find some flow and get some pretty paper stuck down.

Happy Hump Day! Left all my adulting to this afternoon. Joined mom and kitbop for the morning crop. Completed two photo heavy double page LO's. If I had decided to leave these until the in person crop next weekend, I would have had to lug All. The. Things. with me, when in reality all I needed was a few papers, a few stickers, and some wood and metal pieces. Think it was a wise decision to "Just SCRAP it!"

I did it! All of the Hummels are listed for sale! And I contacted a local lady and offered her 2 lots of musical and angel/Xmas Hummels and she bought them immediately. Gotta love not paying fees to eBay and not having to ship them. So I'm all but done. I just need to wrap up these auctions, ship them, and then the local lady is interested in seeing what's left when I'm done. ZERO Hummel figurines left staring at me in my house They're all boxed up in the basement. And I got a couple of cards done, finished a book, went for a walk, got Vietnamese sandwiches and coffee for lunch, and tried the quince jelly my friend made A good day. I just need to get my challenge up and I can relax and watch trashy TV all night

I haven't been posting to this thread and not scrapping much either. Life got in the way... If anyone was on the edge of their seat, I did find a sketch and made a layout for my hosting day on Sketchy Saturday I haven't even ventured into Cardtober and need to add a 'congratulations on your divorce' card for a friend [I'm being sarcastic] this month so maybe I'll head over to the other board and see what I've been missing and to look for ideas.

A a great couple of hours editing and printing photos while online with mom and kitbop. Trying to get photos planned for my week long crop with my mom for Nov 8-14. Then I will work on paper selections. If I keep it to several topics it should be easier, right? It is more fun with a bit of chatter in the background.
Mojo is dragging now but have #17 started on my desk, thinking about going and finishing it.

Going to try to finish today's CARDtober challenge, but that will be it for today as far as paper crafting goes. Will be busy dealing with the pumpkin and tomatoes I cooked up earlier in the week.

Well DH "has" to spend the most of the day at the shop waiting for a delivery. Long story! But he ordered building supplies 9/25 to build out the living quarters in the shop. Website said it would be delivered 10/19. Checked on it Wed and the order said we hadn't picked it up so it was returned to stock!!!!!!!! He went in yesterday and haggled--we had PAID for delivery. Since we are leaving next week he really needs it to be delivered, so it is happening today.
So I'm adulting this morning with laundry and house cleaning chores. Maybe crafting later I hope!
We have a concert tonight, 10th Avenue North at our Gichi-ziibe Performing Arts Center. Should be fun!

Work life gets in my most often breetheflea welcome back! Tonight is a sleepover with DGS and halloween cookie backing and painting. Hopefully I'll have some energy to craft after lol. My new cat doesn't approve of my crafting and has all but put a stop to it lately. I'm going to try to get something finished this weekend anyway lol. I'm going to open up a crop online tomorrow at 7PM EST time if anyone wants to join in. I'll post the link here in the thread. I hope to see some of you!

I tidied up my “shipping department” which is a corner of the living room and some shelves in the basement/laundry area and as I was putting away some off season things I found the only velvety ribbon in the house! It was from MIL’s Xmas stash and I’d tucked it away with the decorations. So I guess I can do on that texture challenge now.
I had good intentions of making and sending fun Halloween cards to my friends this year but I’m running out of time! Again. Good thing I looked at the calendar though - I have 3 Halloween adjacent birthdays I need to send cards for, even if that’s all I get in the mail this season. I love playing with Halloween supplies so maybe I should dedicate the rest of the challenges to that theme.

How was the concert, angel97701? Did the building supplies arrive? Got photos of your Halloween cookies, joyfulnana? Congrats on sending the last of those Hummels out the door, joblackford! How is everyone's weekend shaping up? My plans changed, so I have a few extra days at home. Made lasagna and pumpkin muffins yesterday. Today will be going to a small town Christmas Craft market with justjac.

grammadee YES the building supplies arrived in the morning, so that was helpful for the anxiety level about the evening. More on the concert below. A few extra days to just get a few more things done. How was the Christmas Market? Waving hi justjac ! breetheflea I've missed reading you. Hope work and IRL settles down! joyfulnana Did dgs have a good time? Enjoy these moments as soon he will off doing other things joblackford Yeah for finding the ribbon whilst doing cleaning chores! Enjoyed an afternoon with the day crew, thank mom et al! Finished two card challenges focusing on using up bits and pieces from the "flotsam" boxes and experiment binder. Knew there was a reason I kept that stuff! The concert was AMAZING! 10th Avenue North is a Rock/Indie/Contemporary Christian band that started in 2000 and went on hiatus in 2021, started back up last fall. The musicians were fantastic and the Gichi-ziibi Performing Arts Center has such incredible acoustics--they sounded better than an album recorded in the studio. In fact my DH said they could have recorded a live album last night! They did record footage for videos to be released. We will have to watch and see if we can see ourselves. Small auditorium seats 1,200 and I would say it was 2/3's full. The songs are so up-lifting and really do touch your heart. The band is genuinely authentic about their faith and human foibles. Honestly, at first, my sensory system overloaded. Really glad I had ear plugs along. The driving rhythm of the drummer, the musicality of the keyboardist, the lyrics and guitar of the lead singer, and the back-up guitarist, and bass blended so well. The bassist also played the cello during the acoustical part of the concert. I am really glad I stumbled upon their tour and bought tickets! Today DH and DS25 are working in the shop with the building supplies that arrived. I am continuing on to finish up some chores. I cleaned 2 bathrooms and our master yesterday. The big switch of the wardrobe in the closets happened yesterday. Discovered a few items that should be laundered AFTER I had my laundry done. So one more load. Also try and purge as I switch. In Oregon I had a closet 4x's as big so it was a 4 season closet plus all the "memory" clothing. Most all the 30+ year old be very usable clothing was donated before moving. I am trying to be more intentional brutal in weeding out what I've not worn and donate the nice stuff. Hugs to all of you!

I finished 4 cards for one of the challenges. Hoping I can motivate myself to catch up on a couple more. My husband is doing a frustrating family photo sorting and scanning project right behind me and the sound of the photos being scraped out of those 1970s sticky album is a bit disturbing. We’re using our detective skills to try and figure out when and where some of the photos were taken - only some of them have info on the back and they’re not well organized in the albums. And so many blurry, useless photos and duplicates! Useless as in, grad photo where the only thing you can see is the back of heads in the row ahead, not the kid graduating My next big project will be organizing my own photos and genealogy files, getting rid of the trash, and writing the who what where whens on the back.

We are having a good weekend so far! We went to this little flower patch near by us that grows marigolds. It’s our third year in a row going and they are starting to get more popular. They always remember our little dog every year. Then I actually had time to scrap a 2-page layout during the baby’s nap. I also picked out some photos to do with some of the sketches, but I don’t know if I’ll have any time this week to scrap. Tomorrow we are heading to a pumpkin patch and meeting up with some friends. joblackford amazing job selling those Hummels!!

Pumpkin patch photos, scrappyrabbit! And marigold fields! How exciting! A little scrappy time is pretty exciting, too. Completed the latest two CARDtober challenges this morning, but need to get out of my scrap room. Dgs has a hockey game this afternoon; first of the season. Hoping to drop in on mom's crop time Tuesday morning, but otherwise my focus this week will be packing up for the LSS crop next weekend.

Thanks - that sounds up my alley We got home from our trip yesterday afternoon. I spent the rest of the afternoon locating my kitchen...when I said I wasn't expecting to find the house spotless, I did have hopes that the girls would have cleaned up at least a little. I'm just about caught up on laundry and I've downloaded all the phone photos - still need to download the two cameras. Had a wonderful time in England (Didcot, Bath, Warwick, Portsmouth, London, Greenwich) and Scotland (Aberdeen, Oban, and Mull) and meeting up with my older sister and some cousins.

Welcome home Linda! So glad to hear you had a wonderful holiday Looking forward to seeing some photos and stories in due course. And yes, I was thinking of you when hubby brought all the photos home. It could be a LOT worse, but I'm glad it's not my responsibility. I'm trying to keep out of it unless I'm asked. Hubby is good at big projects and focused work. We're just grateful to see these photos and albums, some for the first time ever. Some are from growing up in defeated and occupied Japan so you can imagine how precious they are. I just got caught up on moving photos from my phone to my laptop and EHDs and into Lightroom for Sept and two thirds of October. Oh well, I'm not behind for last month, I'm ahead for next month! And I got the favs flagged and moved into my blurb software and roughly placed in the book. I can do captions and add some word art and design in the winter if/when I'm feeling inspired, but if not, at least I have the structure mapped out and the photos chosen.

joblackford Yes those would be precious photos! Linda glad that you are starting to feel like you are at home. Too bad it included a tad bit more cleaning than you expected! grammadee I hear you on prepping for a crop! Did DGS have fun? Not sure if we leave for Washington state tomorrow afternoon or early Tuesday morning. I will be home on Monday evening 10/28, and will need to be packed up and ready for 6.5 days of cropping by 11/7 to drive to Fargo, ND. ACK not even sure if I can pack the right things anymore! I have photos printed for 23 layouts, and paper choosen. But embellishments, not yet. I figure up to 6 layouts per day? That would be about 40, so I'm more than half-way there. Had a productive afternoon. Completed CARDtober20, with five cards--one from scraps and 4 from one sheet of PP. Also finished up Sketchy Sat Oct 12.

Good afternoon, friends.
Today is what I call a “ketchup day”, paying bills, running errands, some small household tasks, finding travel cases for packing for the crop. Got my Covid booster when I stopped in for my Vitamin B12 shot.
Had some fun batches of photos shared with me. If I can’t go on adventures I love that they send me photos.
