I am starting to decorate our home for Christmas since we will be gone over Thanksgiving. The time span between Christmas and Thanksgiving is only three weeks and I don't want to get it all up then have to turn around and take it all down. Our main tree will go up around the 1st, but everything else is coming out early.
If I had to describe my Christmas Decor in three words, it would be:
1. mercury glass *counting as one word 2. nutcrackers 3. red (pops of red)
How about you? How would you describe your decor in 3-ish words?

"It's growing again."
Lol.
After successfully paring down to the simple look that appeals to me, I found myself the last two years going in the opposite direction. For two main reasons. 1) I bought a lot of stuff to do the pink, white, and silver table that I always wanted for my formal Christmas table in the dining room. 2) Grandchildren. I added a third tree last year - white with colored lights and covered in dinosaurs for my oldest grandson (now 4). This year I'm adding construction vehicles to it for the 2 year old boy and Frozen ornaments for the 2 year old girl.

Another perfect reply IMO. For me, 3 weeks of holiday music/decoration/shopping is plenty for me. To be clear, the warm feelings and gatherings of (US Thanksgiving and) December can last as many weeks/months as it wants!

I guess I am a few steps behind you...I hauled everything out and now have decided that I really only about 25% of it that I absolutely love. So that's what I am using. It's all just so.much and I am over it (over storing it, over looking at it, over cluttering things up). I can see a 'future me' though with grandkids and leaning much more into 'more'. Once grandkids get here, I will be over the top, Im sure.

1. Playful 2. Homey 3. Elevated
I just finished a bunch of decorating yesterday. My trees take a lot of work so I like to get started early and enjoy them a long time. I had a hard time picking words to really describe my style and I don’t think I captured it. Playful is that I like to do my trees with unexpected things mixed with classic/classy things for a unique look (elevated).

North Pole Explosion
or maybe
Santa Claus vomited
I grew up in a house that would have 42 trees, each different themes. And it could be done for either "Normal Christmas" or "Disney Christmas." And I basically continued, although I don't have that much room so it's like 7-11 trees.

We usually have a real tree and put the decorations and tree up the weekend after Thanksgiving. However, I decided to get a fake tree this year and bought it yesterday. I am itching to set it up, even if it isn't decorated. It's either that or this huge ass box is taking up space. I have picked up a few decorations at Homegoods and Target and have been looking at holiday decor online to get some inspiration. Last year I tried to lean into green and white and greenery a little more (and less red). I guess I would describe my decor as:
Lights Cozy Warm
