I bought a Stampaholic about a month ago @scrappymom and am very pleased with it so far. Seems very sturdy and is working well and it is so much easier to line things up, layer stamps and restamp if I don't get a good impression etc. Wish I'd got one ages ago!
I ordered mine from India and it arrived in about 5 days if I remember rightly - via DHL.

I am working on Christmas cards and hauled out my Misti the other day - the original version that I bought when it was almost just released way back when... and guess what... it's cracked! I use it, but I wouldn't say I'm a "heavy" user and couldn't believe it when I saw the crack. It's still useable, and I'm careful with it but for those who have had theirs crack, how long after you noticed the crack did it last. And is there a way to fix it - easily?

Maybe a clear vinyl sheet with a sticky back. Available at office supply stores.

I'm thinking more along the lines of replacing the top piece when it's no longer useable... It's okay for now but I don't want to have to pitch the whole thing when the crack gets bigger and renders it useless. Kinda gotten used to it and wouldn't want to not have one...

Wow! I had placed an order on Amazon for this tool and then stumbled on this thread. I immediately cancelled it. I'm also a small business owner and products have also been duplicated by others but I don't threatened to send them lawyer letters or what nots. It's business. All I do is to ensure I have great customer service and best quality products to weed out my competition. I support small business but I need to know that small business would stand behind their products 101%! I ended up buying both sized of Stampoholics version from Kat Scrapiness.
I also have WRMK version but I'm not sure if I will keep that.

Would you mind doing me a favor and remove your picture from the gallery. I would greatly appreciate it. I am the maker and inventor and I work hard and long to bring it to market. I would really appreciate it. Thanks. Yikes, I was just researching the MISTI because I wanted to buy it this weekend at the scrapbook expo. I will get the WRMK one instead. I really dislike the bullying going on here. Did you ever get your patent by the way?

You can get graph paper online. I don't know why it is needed. I have a Misti and have used it but never with graph paper. I didn't order mine (it was a Christmas gift last year) but mine came with the paper, and two magnets. I would think yours will come with the graph paper inside. There's like 5-10 sheets of it in there. But I don't use mine all that often tbh..

Tip on the graph paper. I made my own stamp positioner. I put contact paper on the graph paper so I could wipe the ink off. Don't know if that would help any.
Gale- Can you log into SCS? Was thinking of you a moment ago and about your trouble. I had to log in SCS to find something. I had messages from this Summer. How embarrassing. One from Lydia scolding me which I deserved. I did send an apology.
Do you know this thread has had over 30,000 views. Wow!
Who is getting a stamp positioner for your holidays? I don't know if I want one yet. I am still waiting for them to show up at Hobby Lobby so I can make a decision. I am getting a Scan n' Cut. I think that is kind of a stamp positioner, lol.

I ordered a Hampton Arts stamp positioner for myself. It's a pre-order, so I don't think I'll have it in time to make Christmas cards, but I should have it by Christmas.

JustTricia- I am leaning towards the Hampton Arts one too.
Has anyone heard a rumor that Hobby Lobby is getting the MISTI. One of the girls was telling me the other day they were getting in a new fangled pink stamping thing. She doesn't stamp, lol. I was like "Hmmm, pink stamping thing? Wonder if it is the MISTI?" She said it was pricey so that is what made me think it could be a MISTI.

I can log in, but I can't see the general scrapping board unless I go through a different way, like looking at recent posts and then using the previous/next buttons. I still can't post. They have pretty much stopped replying to my emails. I am sure others are in the same boat and don't even know it. I know this is stupid and shallow, but a while back I started a foiling thread. It got a ton of replies and people commented on how great the thread was, full of info, etc. Then it was removed accidentally. When they put it back my original post was gone and it's as if I didn't start it. That was my thread, dammit.

I may be the only one with the problem of over-inking my stamps, but the area around my stamp gets really messy with ink. My solution, I figured out yesterday, is to make a paper sleeve, with the stamp shape cut out, to tape around the stamp. Now I don't have to clean lid of my Klingon or my Letterpress. No muss, no fuss.

No, it is not stupid and shallow. That was your thread, dammit. I wonder if Internet Brands is having issues. I peek over Craftster regularly and they seem to be ok. I noticed SCS seems quiet. Somebody is going to start thread wondering where everyone has gone and they will have all the reasons- Instagram, YouTube, real life, Pinterest, etc... All the regulars will be shaking their monitors "I can't get in!" I had to log in to find something because I kept getting the error I needed to be logged in. Never got that before. I logged in tonight. I only got one PM to the replies I sent a couple days ago. I did not hear from Lydia. Guess the PM's are not getting sent to their destinations or she gave up. I did see threads talking about new stamp presses and a video on how to make your own. Don- I over ink my stamps too. I don't know why I do this. I have a light touch on everything else but over ink my stamps like I am an over excited elephant. I am going to try your stamp sleeve. Thank you for sharing. Now, I am reconsidering getting a stamp press. I just finished organizing all my stamp tools. I use my homemade version of the Fiskars stamp press the most. I am stamping more in my journals now so I am thinking I need better acrylic blocks. I got rid of my acrylic blocks because they hurt my hands. I bought them when the acrylic blocks first came out.

Don, I love your Klingon! You and so many others should not be made to feel bad, ashamed, or in the wrong for building your very own personal tool to make stamping easier. Good for you!

I am now carrying the Stampaholic at www.pnwcrafts.com however they are currently sold out. I expect more stock within a week or so. The Stampaholic has wider hinges, laser etched top, and the magnets are a little bigger. I was just looking back through this thread trying to find out more about the Hampton Art vs the Stampoholic because all I'm really seeing about the HA are unboxings, not long term reviews (I heard something about issues with shifting?) but I saw the PNW in your store name and thought, oh, I like local shops - but cropgal, you're SO local to me - like, the other side of the same city! I don't buy much, but I'll definitely keep you in mind if/when I do. You're closer to me than the nearest Michaels!

Oh yes cropgal. She's the one who had an epic meltdown on the January No-spend thread. Go read it, it's enlightening as to what type of person she is. I would never give her my money. Plus you can get the HA at Michael's with a coupon. Or buy Tim's new one. He's a nice guy.

gmcwife1 waves to you! I'm originally from nz but somehow I ended up here. Did you move far away? I see you're still in WA. I'm not in any Fbk groups... and with the budget I'm on this year, I should probably stay clear of enablers

The WA stamping Enablers group is having a crop Saturday in Lynnwood. They have had 3 or 4 crops so far but this is the first one I've been able to attend. The others were in Bremerton and Tacoma I think

(There was an in between bit in Japan for non-military reasons where we met and got married). It's a different town than it was when hubby was a kid in the 80s. We're on the verge of having a pretty cool downtown, but there's still so much that doesn't quite work... WA is wonderful though.

We lived in the Long Lake area and had horses and that carefree rural childhood. Moving to Bremerton was a huge change, living in the city Though we lived just outside the city limits on an acre. Downtown Bremerton is so different now!

She cannot hold the patent for every conceivable design of this type of gadget. There will be others and some to come to mass marketing very soon---mark my words!!! Ohh.... I can almost hardly wait for that!! I think I'm going to LOVE LOVE LOVE the one being put out by Tim Holtz.

THey say you can never go back home....guess they are right. Nothing ever stays the same. Except maybe your grandparent's house (LOL)
