I broke down and ordered a MISTI and am expecting it to arrive any day! However I haven't been able to order the graph paper! Not available anywhere! For anyone who has this tool, will regular graph paper work? Or can I download graph paper to use?

You can get graph paper online.
I don't know why it is needed. I have a Misti and have used it but never with graph paper.

I thought that the reason for the graph paper was to make it easier to line up stamps with the grid on the Misti. Although having never used the Misti, I'll take the advice of someone that has! Do you put any paper on the surface before stamping?

I have never used the grid paper I ordered. To place my stamps I usually lay a clean stamp where I think I want it then use the lid grid to make sure it is straight. I will cut a piece of scrap paper sometimes and actually stamp on it first to make sure I like what I see.
You are going to love stamping with the MISTI.

Tracking info says it will be in my hot little hands tomorrow!!

I got mine and the graph paper was included (I paid extra for it). Why can't you get it?

I got mine and the graph paper was included (I paid extra for it). Why can't you get it? Its on back order - out of stock since I pre-ordered the MISTI in early January! In fact, my MISTI wasn't supposed to ship until March... But it arrived today! I downloaded some graph paper but it's off quite a bit from the grid.

I'm not sure what you're asking about the paper. I adhere a stamp, ink it, and stamp away. I used it for our Christmas card envelopes. I send 60 cards and this tool came in very handy.
I guess if you're concerned stamp a scratch paper that is the same size of what you're working on. Check that first before you stamp on the real thing!

I'm interested in the paper so that I don't mess up the back when stamping larger stamps and it'd be nice to see the grid when doing so. Apparently the grid used to be offered as a free download until she started selling it. Now I can't see it on her site. I've also read that some people use acetate to protect the surface but also see the grid - which is fine if you're not using the black pad.

It's just 1/4" grid paper that you can get anywhere they sell school supplies. It usually comes in 8 1/2 x 11 pads and then you could cut it to fit. And it is cheap. I just use news print and to be honest I think I'm still using the original piece, it hasn't gotten dirty yet. But I haven't done any off the edge stamping. I thought the grid paper was for doing certain techniques that she shows in some of her videos. I haven't tried any of those either.

Yeah, I thought regular graph paper would work, but the grid on what I tried yesterday was off. I guess it's really no big deal - I'll just use a scrap piece of paper.

Don't purchase it....google it and print your own! That way you can change the size to what you want.

That's not the graph paper. It's a grid to assist in lining up small rubber stamps. She's got a video on Youtube on that.

oh sorry just trying to help That's ok. I appreciate it. I think a lot of people think she's got the graph paper as a free download on her site because you're not the first to mention it. I thought I was missing something so I emailed her directly and she confirmed that the paper is for "purchase". I actually downloaded some purple graph paper from the internet yesterday and cut it down to size. It's perfect! AND FREE!

That's awesome! Can you share where you got it? Absolutely! There are many out there, but this is the one I downloaded. When you print, just make sure 'fit to page' is NOT checked. It changes the size of the grid! Purple Graph Paper

Would you mind doing me a favor and remove your picture from the gallery. I would greatly appreciate it. I am the maker and inventor and I work hard and long to bring it to market. I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

I think Misti is a great idea, and I wish you much success. I am sure you will do well with MISTI. I simply cannot afford to buy one. I put this out there for others in my financial situation. If Suzi Stamper can look at a pic (yours or mine) and figure it out, why not make her own? I do not build for others, I do not sell plans for mine. I am not in business, for me it is just a hobby, and like everything I do in my papercrafting, I share.

I will politely ask again to have you remove it. Otherwise, I will have to reply with a lot of legal jargon that no one in this forum really wants to read. So please sir do me a great service and remove the picture.

If the people in charge of this forum require me to remove the link to my photo I will.
If the people in charge of scrapbooks.com require me to remove my photo I will.
There are also you tube videos to show how to make your own alcohol inks. I haven't heard of Tim yelping about that. And I don't see you griping about others in this stream suggesting to make their own graph papers.
