If the people in charge of this forum require me to remove the link to my photo I will.
If the people in charge of scrapbooks.com require me to remove my photo I will.
There are also you tube videos to show how to make your own alcohol inks. I haven't heard of Tim yelping about that. And I don't see you griping about others in this stream suggesting to make their own graph papers. I will be following up with a letter from my attorney. I guess we will be speaking soon.

I am not worried, my attorney is working on our paperwork to serve you.

Wow, this thread has taken an interesting turn. I purchased a MISTI from My Sweet Petunia and I love it. I think it was a brilliant idea. That being said, mysweetpetunia you should probably deal with the Don in private. Honestly, this back and forth you are doing on this thread and your posts on Facebook announcing rewards for people reporting "hacks" to you sound unprofessional. I'd really hate for you to tarnish your reputation because up until now it's been stellar!
Don created his Klingon for private use, he isn't selling it and he isn't telling people not to buy from you. Just my 2 cents.

When someone hides behind the anonymity of the Internet it is hard to have things removed. I apologize for the drama that has unfolded.

I am loving my Misty. I ordered it last year and Love the fact that I can now use stamps that have large solid areas! I am also wondering if you are a regular on this board under another name? I'm not asking what that name is, just curious if you are here normally.

I just joined this forum a couple of weeks ago. I have been active on many other forums. I have been papercrafting for over 15 years. I was a Fiskateer, until Fiskars dropped the program. I have a web page and 2 blogs, but I have no idea how to find them or what to do if I did find them. I also have some you tube videos, but they are hard to find ... my station is don92340.

I don't have any knowledge about these things, but I do hope the right thing happens... I have to watch my budget and so I appreciate when others share hacks for things... Like I said, no knowledge, so I'm not sure where the line is on these things... I learned from Jennifer McGuire showing how to add foil to projects without buying Heidi Swapp's Minc machine... (She even linked up where to buy the substitute machine cheap...) I guess I'm just saying that a lot of 'how to get the look for less' type stuff happens a lot... About the Misti, my father made my mom something similar 20(?) years ago... He used a self healing quilters cutting mat, wooden yardsticks, a couple hinges, and a sheet of plexiglass... It wasn't as small or precise as the Misti looks to be, but it worked for the project my mom was working on... They might even still have it in their basement...lol My dad gr the idea from a printing press demonstration we saw and some jig thing he used to use when he flew model airplanes... I think the Misti is a great idea, all the reviews are great, and I know that a lot of hard work and sweat have gone into brining it to market... I would suspect that very few people will go to the time and effort of building one themselves, and out of those who do, even fewer will be happy with the quality of what they make compared to your product... I suspect that many of the people who try to make their own will turn out to be some of the first in line when you have products available... Do what you need to do, but perhaps the frustration and learning curve of building your own will only convince people that your product is worth the money...

If I hadn't already purchased the Misti before all this, I might not have based on her recent actions. He's not selling, he's not even giving instructions.

I was expecting something entirely different from this thread - I've been on the fence for a while and from the sounds of this thread I think I'll stay on the fence a little longer.

I have to agree - she's turning a LOT of people off of the tool. I have one and I admit that I do like it. Although I am a DIY kind of person, for me it was just easier to buy it. I don't think I'm alone, but I also do know that there are a lot of people out there who will try, and succeed - in making their own version. The fact that she is stalking websites and asking people to take down photos and videos is crazy. And then making legal threats. Seriously? Maybe they wouldn't be on "backorder" if she'd spend less time doing this!! I think if I didn't already own a MISTI, for this fact alone I'd try to make one myself!

I have to be honest - I looked at it, thought about it, showed it (the videos) to my hubby (who is very creative and handy) - asked him to make me one similar. [/b] He turned to me and said just buy it. He wouldn't have been able to make me one for the same price (by the time he got the bits and pieces)
(I brought it - $130.00 NZ currency.)

Yikes. I was going to ask for one for Mother's Day but I think I'll pass now. $50 is quite a few more Copics.

I will disagree.... It is one thing to make one yourself , but quite another to give instructions.... Kind of like making a copy of your own cd for your own use is different from posting the music online for others to have,
