I read a few posts before I realized this was from 2015! I was wondering how nobody found mocking tweets. Another one that was a bit confused too

I love it when old words come back to haunt people. It happens to Trump continuely when they drag out old speeches slamming the very things he is currently doing now. The criticism of Obama always playing golf is a classic.

Here is a new game. Is this response from 2015 or 2018?
"I don't have a problem with the President using Twitter. I have a problem with the way he communicates in general.
Someone on the thread used the word snide. That is the exact word I would use for how the President communicates about those with whom he disagrees.
He has been that way from the very beginning of his presidency and even before his presidency.
I have tried to find things positive about him. That aspect of his personality makes it hard."
I have absolutely no criticism for the post or the poster, I just find it intriguing that you really wouldn't know...it could be anyone and/or any side.

I think one or two of the posters from 2015 certainly had prophetic powers that's for sure ! Strange that they seem to have such difficulty in voicing the same opinions in 2018 when it's far more relevant.

If our President was a circumspect about what he says and writes as your Queen is, I'd have no issues whatsoever. I have never heard or read of QEII being publicly snide, critical or dismissive of either the politicians in England or world leaders. She is class personified and is someone Obama could learn a lot from If only Trump could learn from Obama. Things he does and says way too often don't make sense. Even in the context of it all. If only we could go back to Obama tweeting and not Trump!
This old thread has me laughing out loud! Crazy how things change. Am I the only pea wondering how much digging it took to find this thread? I thought it was harder to find threads when an account had been deleted by the original poster.

I still think its no contest, I openly cringe when I read Trump on Twitter. Between random inappropriate capitalization to open snark and outright lies and delusions.. it's hot mess of a whole new ballgame, lol.

I usually hate posting on really old threads...but will make an exception for this one! Not that it surprises me one bit who posted it or that she did a vanishing act rather than face the daily reality of what a total train wreck her guy turned out to be (even though the majority of us knew that already) "Childish that President Obama uses twitter" Yes...luckily Trump doesn't...oh wait

to mock foreign leaders or to promote his policies? I'm mean, really? Your the supposed leader of the free world and you think it's appropriate to communicate by twitter? Bwahahahaha! This thread didn’t age well. And highlights the hypocrisy of many Trump supporters. eta: it didn’t take much digging. Just searching “President and Twitter”

She is class personified and is someone Obama could learn a lot from I know Lauren is gone but I read this and thought man she is describing this guy to a t. It was my understanding that President Obama wasn’t the one tweeting. After he first became president they took away his Blackberry for security reasons. When he was running for President the first time he always had his BlacKBerry and commented he missed it when the security folks took it once he became president. When he finally did get a cell phone several years into his presidency he joke on one of the late night shows his daughters phones had more functions then the one they gave him. I think they compared it to a child’s phone. And I can’t see him tweeting from a laptop. But who knows. I’m assuming now he is the one doing these tweets Compare the tone of the tweets from these two men in question. Then let’s talk about circumspect & class. And who’s being snide, critical, or dismissive in there tweets. The fact that Lauren and others didn’t see President Obama was already “class personified “ was because they choose not to. Just like they chose not to see the vindictive petty individual who is the current president for 23 more days.

Funniest thing for me: Apparently, I still have Lauren blocked, which makes reading this thread jigsaw puzzle-esque.
I’ve only ever blocked two people: 1. Lauren, after her performance the day after the 2016 election, and 2. (The Three Faces of) Gia. Always amuses me when I see evidence of one or the other decision.
It’s like revisiting gloomy places with The Ghost of Christmas Past. Or plunging my face in Dumbledore’s pensieve.

Well, how about when your president tweets urging treason against the constitution?
How’s those tweets for you? Real classy? N
From the same people who brought you the 2015 “ invasion of Texas”
As always IOKIYAR

If only we could’ve warned our 2015 selves about what was to become of the presidential Twitter account in 2018 to 2020!
Here’s my fave comment about 2015 presidential Twitter that clearly aged quite well...

Ha ha. Oh dear, somethings don't age well. Imagine a President not only using Twitter but using it almost exclusively and it's deemed official correspondence. Imagine that world, oh wait...
