I think I had about 6000 some posts over at the bucket. I'm an RN, work full-time night shift. Married 15 years to my husband. We have one son who is 10. He's a sports nut. Playing baseball now. Made the 9-10 All Star team. Hubby just went back to work a month ago after being laid off for 5 months. His almost 91 year old mother lives with us..she has Alzheimers disease. She can do for herself..feed herself, walk, dress herself, it's just that her memory is shot. She constantly asks...EVERY DAY multiple times if we fed the dog, did the dog go pee...same questions repeatedly. I lean to the Left politically although as I get older I'm starting to lean right..Socially liberal/fiscally conservative? AND I was the pea who was upset that my son's 1st grade teacher let the kids paint and didn't have smocks for them to wear over their clothes and my son got paint on his brand new Steelers jersey (FTR--I did NOT dress him that day--DH did --aka Jersey gate

I think this is a great thread to christen this new forum. I go between being a poster and a lurker depending on life. I was a member of 2peas for around 7 years.
I am just past my 30's. I have been married for over 20 years. And I am a mom to all boys. I am a teacher in my professional life.
I posted my 2peas info below. Thanks to whomever started this forum.

I think I have been lurking for 9 years. I have been married for 31 years, celebrated the big 50 this year. This last Saturday my daughter got married. I attached a photo of our family from the wedding.

I'm somewhere between lurker and active poster. I joined in 2001 and was a very active swapper back before the original swap board was shut down due to *gasp* scandal. Lost my original number and start date in one of the very early board crashes.
I'm 53 (for another week or so), and I have 2 girls. My oldest is 21, has Asperger's but is doing very well in college now. My youngest is 15 and starting her junior year in high school this fall.
I'm a writer and event coordinator for a small parenting magazine, but considering starting a business that is craft related. I may be coming here to y'all for advice soon.
DH and I just celebrated 25 years of marriage and are planning a trip to Germany later this summer, just the two of us, to celebrate further.
Stacey, I'm so sorry about this. My DD struggles with anxiety along with her Asperger's. I'd be glad to be a virtual friend!

My pea-info is below....as you can tell I was there for a while, but not a prolific poster. I turned 57 on my last birthday and have only one child left at home when she isn't away at college. I do, however, have a 110-pound lap dog, Bear. He's a Golden Retriever who keeps me company while she's gone.
I retired from my job at the local high school this year...had been put back in the classroom after 13 years in guidance (an ugly political story) and decided I was too old for that! I recommend retirement highly and think everyone should do it as soon as possible. May go back to work part time after a while, but for now I'm really enjoying life without an alarm clock.

I am a long time lurker, probably close to 16 years. I am in my mid 50's (55), married for 33 years, 2 daughters. I live in New Hampshire. One daughter lives and works here, the other lives and works in South Korea teaching English. My husband is ready to retire now, but not ready to really pull the trigger. We have moved 5 times during our married lives, and when he retires we will move one more time.

Yet another lurker here. I'm a 30-something Okie gal with two cats. My mom is also a Pea - I like to consider us the lurker version of Burning Feather and AN.

So it's not just me? I'm all about the cleaning & organizing websites, too. Love to visit them, add them to my faves, etc. I just never actually DO anything, lol.

Another long time lurker...47 years old, married to my DH for 25 years. We have a 12 year old dd and two fur babies. I've been a SAHM the last few years and love it! DH is retired from the Air Force and I'm happy that we can settle in one place after moving every few years. I hope to post more here than I did on TP.

Hi everyone.. I was Renysmom at the old place . I am 53, mom to two adult men, both married but no grandkids yet...Soon I hope. I live in Northern VA I just got engaged to the love of my life and my first boyfriend in High School. It just took us 37 years to get it together. Happiest I have ever been. We just bough 10 acres of land in Central VA and will be starting to design our dream home and building it, hopefully by the end of the year. I love photography, digi-scrapping and my Yorkie Riley. You will hear about him I am sure. Can't wait to renew friendships and make new ones along the way.

Another mostly lurker here. I'm married, in my mid-50's, and spend my days watching my grandkids while their parents work. We have 3 pekingese furbabies that run the house! I'm glad I found this board & will try to be more active & lurk less.

I was a member of 2peas for 11 years. I posted off and on but have been off the boards for several years, with the exception of an occasional lurk on NSBR. Like many others though, the closing of the boards made me sad and I wanted to commiserate with my fellow Peas! I recognized so many names from the olden days of NSBR on the facebook page, I felt like I had found some long lost friends. Most of them don't know me from Adam, but I've been following them and their lives for years!
I turned 50 this year, am married and raising my 10 year old step-granddaughter. She's been with us since she was one so she's the daughter I never had in my heart and the light of our lives!

Major lurker here! I was on the board for 14 years, rarely posted, read daily. I'll be 48 next week, married 22 years and have 3 boys. Our oldest has Asperger's and just graduated in May! After tons of hard work and more than our fair share of arguments (he's surly ), he graduated in the top 25 and will be going to a university about 4 hours away from us on an academic scholarship! Our middle son is in 10th grade, in marching band which keeps us all busy! Our youngest will be in 7th grade this year. I work at home as a medical transcriptionist, have done it for 21 years! Trying to be more active in this board!

I'm not so sure some of you qualify as lurkers...I recognize many of your names! I used to be an active poster in the Pub years ago (my last post at the pod was in 2006), but was only brave enough to lurk at the NSBR. And really, it was for the entertainment value of the threads gone awry. So much better than cable! I'm a SAHM to three kiddos under the age of 6. Therefore, if I had any spare time, I would spend it gardening, reading, or redecorating.

I'm an almost-70 retiree (former editor) and live in Maryland with my husband, my disabled cousin, and our cat, Sassy. My adult son and daughter live on the other side of the country--3000 miles away!--but Facebook keeps us close. I don't have grandkids yet--dearly wish I did, but that's not up to me! Maybe someday. These days, my main interest is genealogy, and I edit a quarterly newsletter for a local genealogy group. I also enjoy cooking and belong to a cooking forum.
I was never a member of 2 Peas, but I've been a lurker for several years. It all started when I decided to make scrapbooks to tell my family history. I learned so much from 2 Peas and other scrapbooking sites, especially about materials and techniques. But, along the way, I discovered that I am not really a "crafty" or artistic person; my style is very simple and straightforward. Gradually, I drifted over to the NSBR board, where I felt more comfortable. For the past 2 days, as I drank my morning coffee without anything interesting to read, I had withdrawal symptoms, just like everyone else. So this seems like a good time to "make it official"! I'm glad to see so many familiar names and faces.

I'm mid-20's, small business owning mama of 1, with a stay at home hubby who makes it all happen. Lurked at NSBR since 2002-ish? Barely had any posts, so made a new username to start again.

Hi everyone! I've been a long time lurker and just started posting within the last year. I'm 32 and single with two dogs and three cats.
The last year my life has had many changes. I now own my own home and have had to learn all the little things that homeowners have to worry about. It seems like every time I turn around something needs to be fixed or replaced. Besides that I work full time for a craft retail store and lately that takes up much of my life.
When I'm not working I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, gardening and have a new love of decorating my house.

I'm 50, with a husband and 3 kids, ages 24 to 17 and 2 dogs. Been married almost 30 years. I like to read, stamp and scrapbook--terribly time consuming hobbies! I loved looking at the Two peas gallery--it was one of the best online, in my opinion.

According to my 2P's account, I registered in May 2004 but I'm pretty sure I had read for a bit before that. In those 10 years I logged a measly 200-something posts. The NSBR became a place that I checked in on almost daily, I've learned so much from the Peas!
I'm mom to a 13-year old girl (going on 23) & a 9-year old boy (wise beyond his years) & we live in coastal Virginia. I work in healthcare, where every day is an adventure.

I am 44, mother to 2 kids, boy who is 11 and girl who is 9. I was part time for the last 10 years and went full time in April. I'm having a really hard time with it. I lurked on two peas for two years before enrolling. Before that, I lurked on the AOL scrap boards. I think this was back in 1999. I remember volt from that site.

Is it strange that I consider myself a reader instead of a lurker? I definitely spent more time reading the NSBR board than posting but it was more because of time issues and not lack of desire to post.

I am a 40 year old mom of 4, ranging in ages of 4 all the way to 18! I was a paralegal until my 2nd son was born, now I'm a stay-at-home mom busy homeschooling our 10 year old daughter and attempting to keep our 4 year old son out of trouble!

I've been a daily lurker for a long time and had finally reached 2,000 posts after over five years of posting. My user name was No1UKnow, but I decided to come out as myself here. I'll be 44 next month. I went back to school when my daughter was half-grown and finished last year. I am a technical writer for a large engineering company and I LOVE it. My baby is off to high school this fall, my older daughter is grown and gone. I've been married for 23 years and we live in Kansas. And I'm pretty boring, but I'm OK with that.

Hello, everyone! I'm 40, married to my high school sweetheart for 18 years. We have three kids (ages 16, 13, 6). I work in public health. In my spare time, I love to read, spend time with my family, and golf. I was a long-time lurker at the old site; didn't post much but checked in on a nearly daily basis for >10 years (wow...where did that time go?). So happy to "meet" you all!

I read more than I posted, but I am 50, married with no kids. (unless you count my husband and cockatiel)
I ride a Goldwing Trike and DH rides a Yamaha Venture. We have not ridden much recently, but I am ready to get back out there.
With any luck, I will be back to scrapping/cardmaking by next week. To get there, I have a lot of purging and organizing to do.
