This was me:
TurboPea Member Since July 2003, 2,781 forum posts, 0 public projects Location: Not Specified PeaNut Number: 97282 PeaBoard Title: StuckOnPeas
So, less than 3000 posts in 11 years. I guess that qualified me as mostly a lurker. I visited 2Peas nearly everyday, but wasn't a prolific poster. I decided to get a new "non-pea" name since it's not really "2Peas" anymore. I'm a working, married mama of 2. One recently graduated, and one heading to 3rd grade. I don't scrapbook anymore - I do digital photo albums. Maybe one day I'll get back to it, when my youngest is older and there's more money for hobbies like that again.

I was a long time lurker on NSBR. I was finally headed for 1000 posts, and now starting over. I'm 40 years old, been married for almost 20 years, and have an 18 year old son and my daughter turned 15 yesterday. We live in Colorado, but I'm from NH, and hope to get "home" eventually.
I'm glad that there's a new place!

I'm a 39 year old SAHM with a 3 year old boy and a 7 month old girl. We have a small farm so I take care of that while my husband works.

I am a 48 (soon to be 49) year old SAHM. I just recently quit my job in April. I had a heart scare at the first of the year and wanted to spend the summer enjoying my family. I worked in healthcare but not sure if I want to go back into it or not. My DH and I have been married for 28 years. We have been together since we were teenagers. We have 2 daughters, one is married (she is 27)to a wonderful man who is an awesome stepfather to our two grandchildren, Alexis,8 and Gabe, 5. Our youngest DD, who is 18 lives at home and is deciding what to do with her life. She graduated a year ago at 17. We kind of adopted her BF and let him move in with us. His parents just moved away and left him stranded last year. Very quiet young man, in the reserves and will probably be our SIL one day.
I came to Two Peas way back in 1998. I can still remember when every new person got a welcome to the board from Kristina and the Peas. It has taken me all these years to reach over 5000 posts. I lurk a lot and post occasionally. I have learned a tremendous amount from the Peas and was lost when I found the NSRB locked. This has been a part of my life for so long that it was like losing a good friend.
I haven't scrapped in years and gave most everything away. I now spend most of my free time quilting and sewing. DD #2 is trying to teach me to crochet but I am a very slow learner. We love camping and bought a travel trailer last year. Hope to eventually take it across country.

Hi, I am an occasional poster, I was a member for 8 years and around 2 thousand posts. I started in gs but came over to nsbr when I joined the TTC threads and eventually the pregnancy threads. I am approaching forty with two little girls (ages 2 & 4). I struggled for six years with infertility and sharing on the boards was a great outlet. I actually do scrapbook and am all about taking pictures of my girls. I also have two very set in their ways cats and a wonderful husband of 11 years.

I was a mostly lurker for 11 years - I think I had less than 100 posts in all that time! I lurked mostly because I didn't have a lot of time to post but I'd chime in here or there if I had something to say. I'm 49 and my DH and I have been married for 25 years. We have 2 DDs - the older one is married and the younger one will be a senior in high school in the fall. We live with a small menagerie of pets - 2 dogs, 4 cats, a parakeet, a chinchilla and a beta fish. They all started out as my DDs' pets but somehow have become my and DH's responsibility! I'm originally from the Chicago area and lived there until I was 13, when I moved to the SF Bay Area. I went to high school and college there and when DH finished grad school we moved to Orange County. Lived there 8 years then moved to Utah (with a brief stop in Portland, OR for 3 months before my job transferred me here.) I work full time as a food scientist and go to school online part time, working on my Masters in Food Safety. In the little spare time that I have I scrapbook and read. I'm a huge Disney fan and if given a choice of where to vacation will usually choose Disney World or a Disney cruise! I'm so glad we found a new place - I think I'd be lost without the Peas!

I was on 2 peas since 2001. I was pretty active at the beginning and then a group of about 20 of us began an off shoot group called the Homeys (we were almost all stay at home moms) that chatted everyday on the scrap chat/swap board. There is still a group of 5 of us that are part of the group and we vacation together every other year and see each other on facebook everyday. I am about the only one that still lurked everyday on my lunch time. I'm 44. I have a son (21) that just graduated Airforce Basic training last week. He is in Tech School and we are waiting to see where his first duty station is. I have a daughter (19) that is going to college to become a RN. My husband and I have been married 22 years and together 25 years on July 4th. We have a blue heeler/border Collie named Lucy who is 10. She likes to watch the hunting channel and football I work as an admin assistant at a local small buiness full time. I scrap when I go on my girls trip vacations and on NSD. Otherwise my stuff sits and gets dusty. Lol I love to read and I watch Big Brother. I had a panic attack yesterday when I went to Peas and realized what happened! My first thought was "oh crap! The only time during the year that I actively participate on 2 peas and it's gone? What am I gonna do?" Thank goodness I figured it out early in the day and found my way here and the fb group of big brother peas!

Nice to see some regular Peas here......... I'm 53 and a native New Yorker. Married for the 2nd time (almost 4 years now!), and living in FL. Still missin' NY and figuring out how to get back there, but now my 2 adult children have moved in with us, so it's been fun!!!!!!! LOVE the Peas for their instant information and knowledge, and as I said before, I really hope that this board won't have the snark 2Peas has had.

I was an old pea (almost made it to 14years under my second pea number, lost the first one when something went wrong, can't remember what). I was mostly a lurker up until the past year. I had less than 1000 posts. I'm a mid-50s wife of 27 years and mom to two sons (24 and 22) who had the nerve to go away to college, graduate and stay in college town, four hours away from home. My husband and I are true empty nesters now. I stopped working outside the home in 1998 to be a stay at home mom and homeschool our sons. By the time they went off to college I had become use to staying at home and have not rejoined the work force though I really probably should. I do have a part time job where I pick up a friend's son from school and keep him out of trouble until mom gets off work. At one time I made pretty good money making scrapbooks for others. I got burned out from putting so much sweat and tears into something only to give it up to someone else. I haven't scrapped in years. I get my creative release now by doodling (or Zentangling, as it's now called) and keeping art journals. I've recently purchased a gelli plate and spend a lot of time printing. The rest of my spare time is spent on the internet. I'm a Facebook, Instagram and of course, 2Peas junkie. I almost cried yesterday when I found our board gone. Thank goodness for the people who rescued us through the Facebook groups and this board. My plan is to be a more active participant now that I've been given a second chance ?

I was a pea for almost 10 years, but only logged 3700 posts so I guess that makes me a lurker.
I will be 55 in a couple of weeks. Been married 29 years. I have 3 kids: oldest dd is a teacher; we lost our son in 2011 at the age of 18; and our 18 year old daughter is a college freshman.
I went back to school and graduated from college at the age of 52. I've been an elementary teacher for 3 years now.
I live 45 minutes from WDW. I have 4 cats.

My pea-info is below....as you can tell I was there for a while, but not a prolific poster. I turned 57 on my last birthday and have only one child left at home when she isn't away at college. I do, however, have a 110-pound lap dog, Bear. He's a Golden Retriever who keeps me company while she's gone. I retired from my job at the local high school this year...had been put back in the classroom after 13 years in guidance (an ugly political story) and decided I was too old for that! I recommend retirement highly and think everyone should do it as soon as possible. May go back to work part time after a while, but for now I'm really enjoying life without an alarm clock.

I have been a member of two peas since October 2004, but had lurked from around 2002, but with just 274 forum posts, I was far from chatty.
My DH and I are both Australian, but live in the United States. A long story how and why, but work assignment is the short story. I will be 40 later this year.
We have 3 awesome kids, 12, 8 & 6. My kids attend a hybrid homeschool school (University model school), which basically means they attend a school some days each week and school at home the other days. Their teachers are certified and are amazing! They create the lessons plans, and I make sure my kids follow them through at home.
I spend much of my time teaching, cooking, and other household related stuff. In my spare time (little spare time) I enjoy genealogy, gardening, cross stitch and other crafts, this nsbr message board (duh), pinterest and baking.

I was a total lurker on the peas board. Was there at least 10 years and only posted a couple of times. I hope to get more involved here. I live in southwest Ohio, been married for 37 years, we have a daughter, and 2 grandkids. We watch the kids while their parents work. I have never met a craft I didn't want to try, I love scrapbooking, knitting, crochet, sewing, cross stitch, photography etc. Almost forgot we have a jack Russell named Ginger, and 3 cats that allow us to share their home. It's great to meet everyone!

I'm 43, married for 21 years to my college sweetheart, whom I met at the University of Texas. I'm a mom to four boys, the oldest is 17, the next is 15, and the youngest two are identical twin 11 year olds. My 2Peas account says I joined in May of 2001, but I'm pretty sure I started reading the Two Peas boards before that. I started scrapbooking in 1999, took part in a Two Peas circle journal with other moms of twins in about 2003 and then promptly stopped scrapbooking. Just couldn't find the time for it. All my boys swim competitively year round, so my life is swim practice, swim meets and I serve on two swim team boards. I always read 2Peas every morning and every night. It was a part of my life and I actually cried when I read that they had closed. So glad to have found this board and I hope to be a little more active on this one since I now realize just how much the 2 Peas community really meant to me.

I'm 52 and have been a pea for years but haven't posted a ton. Some of you may remember that I was the idiot who had no clue my husband of 21 years was cheating on me until he told me in the car one Sunday afternoon on our way home from Lowes. It almost seems comical now, but at the time the peas saved my sanity as I was completely blind-sighted. My then 13 year old son went on to suffer severe depression and that coupled into anorexia, which was the only thing he felt he could control. (Eating). The peas helped me through those first few dark years when I didn't have a clue what I was doing post divorce and since then I went back to college, completed both my undergrad and graduate degrees and both of my children have graduated from college. My son is recovered, my daughter is finishing grad school and I am still happily single.
On a side note, my ex married the girl he left me for who was 10 years younger than us, he was her forth husband and she was 38 at the time. That marriage last 10 months. He is getting married for the third time this summer. Not sure if I will ever be brave enough again to take that leap.
Thank you, dear peas for all of your humor, help and support over the years and to all of the peas I've become friends with on facebook who keep me entertained every day. Much love!

I'm a European Pea (Norway), which is probably the main reason I haven't posted a lot (1700+ posts in three years), when you're not fluent in a language, it makes it more difficult to come up with something coherent;). I lurked for years before my first post, but I will always be grateful for the Peas' support after the terrorism attack in Norway three years ago. If my husband wasn't on vacation, he would most likely have been killed by the car bomb, and it scared me a lot.
I'm 45, married for nearly 20 years, DS15 (sometimes incredibly sweet, other times your typical hormonal teenager) and DD8(who is sweet most of the time, at least for now). Law school graduate, but is currently a SAHM because DH works very long hours and that didn't combine well with my 4 hours daily commute.
I still scrapbook, other hobbies are taking care of my horse, reading, knitting and sewing.

There are grants and financial aid available, it's not an impossible dream for you. Hugs to you.

I've been lurking at two peas off and on for about 10 years. I was B. Pea previously and had just started posting a little more frequently. I was still under 1000 posts. I'm 35, live in the San Francisco Bay Area. Im a SAHM with 2 daughters ages 8 & 11. I came to two peas because of scrapbooking but I rarely manage to do that anymore.

Hello everyone! It seems like it was another lifetime ago that I first found my way to the NSBR forum at Two Peas. In reality, it was during the kitten heels drama. My original name was something overly complicated that I was constantly forgetting. I finally decided to start from scratch, and that was the "real" start of my pea life. My mom is also a Pea, but she posts even less than I do. The threads on the NSBR board are a frequent topic of our conversations. I'm in my 30s, married, and have 2 kids. My son is a sports fanatic and a history buff, who lives to annoy his little sister. My daughter is into singing, dancing and has a definite flair for dramatics. Professionally, I'm a special education teacher who is currently not teaching full-time. I'm insanely quirky, unbelievably nerdy with a slight touch of geek thrown in, and deathly shy and awkward in most social situations. I am a true introvert to my very core. My life is hectic and at times, exhausting, but I wouldn't know what to do if it wasn't.

Another long-time mostly lurker. Mid-50s, married with two daughters. Retired from 26 years in federal prison, then went to work in the WI Department of Corrections. Apparently I can't get enough of prison! My friends call me Martha (Stewart) as I enjoy doing all things domestic... cooking, sewing, needlework, etc., plus, as noted earlier, I also did the time in prison like Martha! I am also a professional cake decorator. I have enjoyed reading 2Peas for many years and have found out about so many things... uses for coconut oil comes to mind. I'll try to come out of lurkerdom a little more often!

I'm a lurker since 2005. I live in Northern Virginia with DH and our 3 children-DD20, DD18, DS15. Both girls are going to college in Virginia and my DH travels a lot for business so it's mostly just my son and me at home. The kids have grown up so fast and I'm glad I scrapbooked a lot of their earlier years. Now, my supplies mostly gather dust, but I do still try to scrapbook our summer vacations. I look forward to participating more-I think I hyperventilated when Two Peas shut down and I didn't know where everyone would be gathering.

I have lurked for about 4 years. I joined TP about 2 years ago and made it to 99 posts. I am 43, recently married, no bio kids - have three grown steps and 8 grands now and live in the KC area. I work in real estate (not sales) and I am a want to be scrapbooker (more like a hoarder). Would love to connect with any local ladies who scrap as well. Love sports - football and hockey are my faves. Totally enjoying the summer right now by going to the pool or taking out our pontoon boat.
