I'm pretty sure nk called someone a butter face. Meaning good body, but her face... then a strange pile on/defense ensued and nk had a cuss word in her thread title. Handslap from a pearl clutching pea for the offensive language and then a tirade of expletives followed.
Do I have e that right?

Now, my question. Did the term "Thrusday" come from the torn bear debacle? Or was that a blog thing? Oh I'd love to know this one. The rest I remember! LOL

Thrusday was from Heidi Swapp. She had some tape that had the days of the week on it, but it had Thursday misspelled. This coupled with her rub ons that needed special instructions ( not really, they just sucked) caused all sorts of brouhaha. People were complaining about the products and a bunch of people got offended thinking people were personally attacking her. They weren't of course, her name was just used as the brand name as well. Thursday seemed to be the day most drama started so if someone started drama on a none Thursday people would joke that you couldn't start drama until it was Thrusday.

There was a woman who was a regular poster, was something of a 'chef' and posted lots of recipes. Then she started advertising and selling boxes of her cookies/candies for various holidays. She got run off because that was against the TOU, I believe. Can't remember her name... A pea was sent screen shots of what she had posted on facebook. She was joking about posting items for sale. I'm friends with her on facebook and read the whole thing. She was done with two peas and saying anything about her baked items. So the pea decided she needed to start a whole new thread about her selling items again on 2 peas when it wasn't going to happen. Thrusday was from Heidi Swapp. She had some tape that had the days of the week on it, but it had Thursday misspelled. I'm pretty sure that Lady Stars was the original "Thrusday" offender. At one point someone said something or asked her why she always spelled it that way and she claimed that it was how her son said it.
I think that the Heidi Swapp thing can quite some time after and it was a misprint on her scrapping line.

I've been having weird typo errors lately at work and one of them is me typing 'Thrusday' instead of 'Thursday'. I think of the peas every time I've done it--which has been several times over the past few weeks. Another example is typing 'Joke' instead of my coworker's name 'Jodi'. Annoying yet entertaining.

The nurse kitty hair flip was epic. How about the pea who faked her suicide then came back to,the board and basically mended fences? Or the pea who got arrested in some kind of drug bust? Or the pea who scammed a bunch of people? This was at the very beginning of 2 peas. Or the pea who was looking for a date for her son (or was it a daughter) for the prom? Or the pea who hated policemen and talked about how all of them were corrupt? She completely flipped out.
Now, my question. Did the term "Thrusday" come from the torn bear debacle? Or was that a blog thing? Janet Wasn't that Beadhound, which was followed by the French teenager excuse? Am I remembering correctly? On some list somewhere, I am supposed to be beadhound, I am not. But I am kind of crazy

Kristina Contes debacle was more to the fact that she called all scrappers "Susie Scrappers" Meaning they weren't up to HER standard of a 'life artiste' or whatever she called herself. She then blasted a bunch of people for questioning her "fame" and her crediting someone else in her HOF win" It was then revealed that she was pre-chosen to win and that the contest had been rigged for years. It was a mess and Ms. Contes (who was very rude and obnoxious IMO) came on again and blasted everyone for being envious of her fabulous lifestyle. Come on people, she owned a restaurant you know!!! I'm not sure if it was said already, by Kristina had used a photo of herself, one that had appeared elsewhere and was not taken by her, on a layout or more. In fact, her layouts generally did feature photos of herself and the rule at the time was that you needed to have taken all photos yourself. Here's a little interesting factoid. I was asked to appear on the Jon Stewart show to discuss the HOF controversy. Despite my desire to take a limo to NYC with Jon (would have been my request! LOL! He lives near me) and my desire to meet him, I declined. I don't remember how they found me. Might have even been through 2Peas. They thought I could logically explain the issue. I believe KC herself was going to appear on the show as well... but they didn't want her without a rebuttal. No way Jose!

LOL...I was smack in the midst of the craze of being published then and tried out for HOF a few times (before HOFGate). I remember it well because I was so disappointed to find out the contest was fixed from the get go. Also that thread, if memory serves me right, was almost 50 pages long before it was pulled. The late night thread sticks out in my mind because I had watched those night gals for years (never posted just lurked) and had so much fun with their antics. Another just stuck in my mind all these years thing. I tried a couple times for HOF knowing full well (or assuming) that the contest was rigged. It had to be rigged. There was no way that the winners were so consistent with who was popular at the time and who was getting published. To be honest, I thought that even the whole getting published thing was rigged, by the magazines and the product manufacturers. It was so rare that someone just randomly got published for their work without an obvious pull to the hot product at that moment. I found the whole thing really distasteful and I was kind of glad when the industry imploded because it proved how fake the industry was getting. I was published quite a few times in all the scrapbook magazines back in those days. I certainly didn't use all the hot products because I didn't have them. I think I was the first Australian published in BH&G Scrapbooks etc., so maybe that was the novelty? I'm loving this look down memory lane.

I vaguely remember a pea who was a regular poster. She was young I think and got pregnant and was a smoker. I remember a multi page thread questioning her llife choices and calling her all sorts of things for smoking while pregnant. Does anyone remember who I'm talking about? Yes, I do. Her mom was a pea too and updated us on her daughter and grandkids from time to time.

The uterus thing started because I had a knitted ski mask girl avatar for awhile, and so every time someone found some weird knitted item, which are plentiful because knitters are freaky weirdos apparently, they would post the item and say, "Mary Mary, did you make this?". One of those items was a knitted uterus. And this was during the time that I kept having babies and babies and more babies. And so here we are.

I was there for Nurse Kitty's hairflip. I wish I had gotten a screen shot. It was epic. Really? I think it got bigger and better over time and various re-tellings. I was there for it and thought it was a bit of a non event. I don't recall what started it, but NK posted that she hated wo peas and that everyone there were just boring old "knitting hags" and then posted 2 threads with something like "Pea 1 get your ass in here and fucking ban me" or something very similar to that. Just because the word fuck was in the title doesn't make it 'epic' in my books. A bit of name calling and using the word fuck twice, that's all it was She and "eight" seemed to think they were tougher and cooler & smarter than everyone else and there were a few people that bought into that and would suck up to them really obviously. It was all a bit sycophantic. She used to dole out medical advice too even though she had only just graduated and had almost no experience in nursing. Eight came back once and I think she was expecting everyone to say how much they missed her etc, but she only got a handful of posts and then she vanished again (well at least with that name and that persona).

Ok do y'all remember the pea who was writing a soap opera on the board? she would make additions every couple of days. It was hilarious! As the Pea World Turns or something like that? I can't remember details, I just remember logging on every day hoping she had added an 'episode' that day.
Magic Shave Powder anyone? And I think Jeff and Kristina got upset because we were posting about sex and 2 peas was coming up on google searches with porn or something, so some peas started a new board where we could freely talk about sex, shaving the lady garden, etc. I know this happened because I joined that board, but I cannot remember any of the names involved. I saw MSP at the Dollar General the other day and had to smile.
Both of these would have been 2002-2003 I think.
I remember the dog eating baby Jesus, the Pea who's husband decided to invite people over for Thanksgiving at the last minute so she made him cook and she was updating on his antics and screw ups almost hourly. Fabulous reading...

Whoa. All the way to Jon Stewart? I think there were newspaper articles on it. I remember some quote vaguely... something about Kristina making fun of the stay at home mom scrappers who were just jealous. Not exact words by any stretch of the imagination. It was a whole "poor me" thing, feel sorry for me because I won even though I did not follow the rules. Ok.. Google refreshed my memory. There were articles in major news publications. Crazy! LA Timesand NY Times

From what I recall, Nurse Kitty had come home from a rough shift at work - I think a patient had died??? Then I think she was drinking. All of that combined to make her pretty explosive.
Didn't Eight get in trouble for selling stolen goods?
What about that woman who had 4 little boys and she couldn't handle them. Someone found a newspaper article that some of those little boys were found wandering in the middle of the night while she and her husband were passed out stoned? Or something like that? I don't remember her user name, but it was a combination of her name and her husband's.

What about Jeffrey's brother or cousin or whoever he was...was supposed to be an administrator or something. And then he got very suggestive and inappropriate on some late night threads. It happened over and over and then he was gone.

I remember a thread about a pea who couldn't understand why moms would be stressing with what to do with the kids during summer vacations. They had summer camps, foreign language classes, picnics in the park, enrichment activities etc. AND each kid got his/her own special day each week that they got to plan. We were all just slackers.
