How cute that you call them "ponies"! Also, please post your address, I am packing now to come and see in person. I love seahorses, next to octopi (I just want to call them "octopusses" lol) and sea turtles (the babies OMG!) are my favorite animals/sea creatures. Just kidding about the visit thing. Sort of.

And please update often. I would love a fishtank especially saltwater, so I will live peacariously thru you.

Just want to add thanks for sharing. I've been fascinated with all the information (who knew that it was so difficult for these little critters to survive). It sounds like you are doing everything you can.

peacariuolsy...love it. There are 9 in the canning jar-which is where they are going to stay until they get a little bigger. Keeping them in a small space will help them find their food. The brine shrimp hatched yesterday, so I've been adding some to their jar every few hours. I can't tell if they are eating or not...they just seem to randomly swim and drift about with the current from the air hose. There was one left in the big kids tank, and he seemed fine yesterday-their light is not on yet today, so I won't know about him until later. I put some into the sump of my reef tank, because it is chock full of tiny food critters, but I haven't seen them since I put them in there. No surprise, that tank is full of mangroves, rocks, plants, etc. Two of the adults were mating again yesterday. Thanks for you offers, I may need pony sitters!!!!! This is a pic of the males when I first got them. I had ordered a "mated pair" but they were WAY to young to determine what sex they were (and I won't order from that source again!) Anywho, two months later they both had grown pouches, so Tristan and Y'vaine became Tristan and Dunstan.

I really admire your dedication to the tanks. DH got me one of those jellyfish aquariums for our anniversary a couple years ago. I had three moon jellies. But they were so much harder to keep alive than I expected, and they kept bumping around tearing their bells, and they were so sensitive to water changes that I gave up after the last one died and decided not to kill any more and put it away. Loved the tank while i had it, though. It was round and has a constant current. It had LED lights that had many different settings.

OH, so sorry about losing the two babies. This thread is seriously the best I've read in a long time-such a new, interesting world you've opened up to me! Your pictures are amazing, as well. I hope you continue to update us. You need to have a blog, if you don't already!
