Starbucks- overpriced coffee. I only go when we are on vacation with family since they love it.
Outback- we were there earlier this year and for the first time in my life I sent back food. The food was extra salty, the lobster was small and rubbery. The commercials make it sound like it'll be the best food you've ever had. uhhh, no.
Cheesecake Factory- have been 3-4 times. the menu is huge, I never know what to get. And when I finally decide, I'm brought a not so good dish. I don't eat cheesecake, but my family does, so they're the reason I've been.

I agree with almost everything folks have already posted. The exception would be that I do like In and Out (must eat the fries while hot) and I like Chipotle (I get a burrito bowl or salad, don't care for actual burritos.)
Overrated: Red Lobster, Applebees, Olive Garden, Jimmy Johns, Subway (gross), Outback and Five Guys.

IHOP. But then I don't like pancakes And Firehouse Subs - DH loves them, but I just haven't found a sub I like from there yet. I prefer Subway, as do the kids.

I do not like Olive Garden. Other than that, I like most of these places. I really like In N Out, Chipotle, Five Guys and Cheesecake Factory. Cheesecake Factory might be my favorite chain. Now I need a lemon-berry slush from Sonic.... Lisa

I am so confused by Olive Garden.
I have been to OGs in other states and they are horrible. The food is practically tasteless.
But the ones near me are delicious. I'm obsessed with the breadsticks and Alfredo sauce...I swear they have crack in them.
I don't understand why they're different though...I can totally understand how a lot of you don't like them. Like I said the ones elsewhere were horrible.
For me it's Applebee's. We were given a gift card there as a present and we ended up giving it away. We didn't want to eat there even for free. I can't find a single thing on the menu to order.
Another one for me is IHOP. Yuck.

Never been to In n Out or Chipotle or Panera or Cheesecake Factory.
Old Country Buffet - why the hell did I spend $60 on that crap for my family?! Outback - we both sent our meals back Applebees - All 4 of us are pretty happy there Five Guys - LOVE it. We will only eat there though, no to go. I'm super hungry right now and could seriously go for a small cheeseburger, all the way. Red Lobster - No Olive Garden - I've had worse, and definitely had better. Red Robin - Love it Boston's - Not a huge fan
Also, I love Denny's and IHOP. Mmm, breakfast.

For me it would be Olive Garden.
I've only been twice, both times we were away and that was what was in the area to eat at. I can take it or leave it.

ITA with Olive Garden. It's horrible. Borderline inedible. This! Also, Red Lobster. It's like Denny's with a pirate theme.

I think I agree with almost everyone listed here. I cannot believe the lines of people waiting to get a seat at Olive Garden and Red Lobster around here. I wouldn't eat there if my meal was free!

I hate Carabba's. Everyone else I know loves it but I find my food is almost always swimming in olive oil. Even sometimes when it's not literally sitting in a puddle of oil, there's enough oil in the food to make me ill. I get a really upset stomach if I eat too much olive oil, so their food disagrees with me, even when I order foods that should be safe. Now we don't live near Carabba's so I do t have I worry about it.
My parents love the Olive Garden. They come visit us near San Francisco and get upset that they have to drive 30-45 minutes to get to an Olive Garden. I keep trying to explain to them that we could close our eyes and walk around for 5 minutes and accidentally wander into a restaurant that would blow the Olive Garden away, but they're set in their ways.

I'm with Merge. It's much shorter to list the ones I like.
I can do Chipotle, Smashburger, Panera, Carrabba's (although it was much better when it was local and not expanded and franchised out), Original Pancake House, Whataburger,

I used to really love Five Guys but not so much anymore. I think the burgers have gotten smaller and the prices have definitely gone up. DD and I used to stop there once in a while. We always get the exact same thing -- used to cost $15.15 a few years ago and now the exact same order is over $18.

I think Panera is overrated. I do like one of their salads, but there's far better bakery to be had, the bagels are better pretty much everywhere, and I can barely chew through their french loaf.

For us it's Cracker Barrel. It's just so unappealing with the sticky tables and seats and the food just slopped onto the plates. Yuk!
I agree with everyone on Subway. The sandwich meat taste like a slab of plastic. Another yuk!

I was really excited when we got an Applebees in Courtenay BC. And then we went & it wasn't very good. IT's gone now.
I don't mind Olive Garden.

Olive Garden, Applebee's and Outback are on our list of "don't ask kids because we aren't going there" restaurants. The food is always horrible and the service is just as bad.
We don't go there often but I do love Five Guys. It reminds me of dive bar burgers we used to eat in college to go with our $2 pitchers of Miller Lite.

Olive Garden and Buffalo Wild Wings. Also Taco Bell. Awful.
I like In and Out, Smashburger and 5 Guys for fast food. I also like Cheesecake Factory, but we don't have it up here, so it's new for us whenever we go.

Olive Garden and Red Lobster. I don't get what all the hype is about.
On a recent trip out of state my daughter really wanted to try In and Out Burger. I thought the prices were good, the burger was pretty good considering it was a fast food burger but, the fries, what is up with those!

Red Lobster. Yuck. My daughter and nieces love it, so I will go a couple times a year just to make them happy. The only place where I literally cannot find ONE thing on the menu that looks good. Ugh...
