A few weeks ago we saw Victoria and Abdul, last week we saw The Foreigner and today we saw Only the Brave about the firefighters in Prescott, AZ. We enjoyed all three which were all completely different.

My sister came for a visit this weekend and we had a movie fest. We watched The Zookeepers Wife. Quite touching but I had a hard time understanding the wife’s accent. 4/5 Girl’s Trip - Raunchy and crude but one of the funniest movies I have seen in years. 5/5 Passengers - A perfect rainy day movie 4/5 Mr. Church - We really enjoyed this. Eddie Murphy was perfect for his role. 5/5 Lion - Excellent 5/5 Daddy’s Home - Funny and enjoyable. I’m glad we watched it at home. 4/5
We made cookies and lasagna. Snacked and talked and laughed our way through the weekend. It was so much fun!

Finally after a 2 week absence, we went to the movies today. Saw Wonder with Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson. It was deeper than the previews made it out to be and we really liked it! There was a high school production in it of Thornton Wilder's Our Town and the scene made me teary. It's the one my sister did as her talent in the Junior Miss Hawaii pageant in 1963. Bette Midler was her drama coach for the pageant. Sweet memories.

My grandson's grade 5 class went to see Wonder. They first read & studied the book. Powerful for the class.I'm sure! I think this movie would be a great teaching tool.

I saw The Man Who Invented Christmas today and thoroughly enjoyed the movie! I love Charles Dickens and try to read A Christmas Carol every December. It's the story of how the book came to life.

We saw Lady Bird and Saorise Ronan and Laurie Metcalfe were outstanding. ITA! I thought the cast was great and really enjoyed the movie. My daughter and I saw Wonder and both thought it was great (both of us read the book and agreed it was a good adaptation). I always like when there is a family friendly movie my daughter (age 10) can go to as well.

The most recent movie I saw was "Wonder" and it was very good - a good family movie. The next movie I want to see is Lady Bird

We saw Lady Bird and Saorise Ronan and Laurie Metcalfe were outstanding. Is this a movie to see with a girlfriend or DH? Lady Bird is a senior in high school and it is her coming of age, as well as her relationship with her parents. I went with DH, who likes these movies. So it depends on your DH and what he will watch at the movies!😀

Tonight just back from Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri a profane movie that runs the gamut of emotions about a mother played by Frances McDormond. Her daughter’s murder is not solved and how life is in the small town several months after the event. Excellent acting and story, already nominated for Independent Spirit awards Ibelieve.

We just got home from seeing Lady Bird. I loved it ~ it was very poignant ~ although my mom and I never had any issues when I was a teen. DH gave it a 7.5/10. There was an older man sitting on the other side of me and he softly snored through most of the movie. He was by himself. I wanted to say *Dude, why did you come to see this movie?*

We saw Star Wars yesterday. We all enjoyed it although DH and I usually can't remember all the *connections* until DS explains it after the movie.

We saw The Darkest Hour yesterday; the ending was a bit abrupt, but other than that, we both loved it. Gary Oldman was totally unrecognizable, and gave a wonderful performance. It made me want to learn more about WWII and Winston Churchill. It was also interesting, after seeing the movie Dunkirk a few months ago, to see the Dunkirk story from the 'other side' in this movie.
(I kept 'seeing' Stannis Baratheon in Stephen Dillane's performance of Lord Halifax, though, lol!)

We finally saw Baby Driver ... I actually liked it. Hated that the DVD kept glitching. Good movie - I actually paid attention to all the little things like how it was filmed on the beat of the music. Anyone else find it odd to watch Kevin Spacey after all the stuff came out?
Also saw Bright on Netflix. I thought it would be so good - but it was just dark - mood and movie. Didn't enjoy that one. Will Smith was good (as always) but it was just dark.

We saw Darkest Hour and really loved it. Gary Oldman was amazing in it! Yesterday we saw Jumanji and thought it was pretty funny. We're going to see Star Wars for a 2nd time later this week.

saw Bright. we enjoyed it. had elements of action, sci fi and fantasy. it was good and even though the critics hated it, Netflix has green lit a sequel.
saw Star Wars . also enjoyed that. it was fun pop corn movie. Carrie Fisher didn't look well but it was good to see her in it. i can see why Mark Hamill is bitter about the series though.
we want to see The Post next. I want to see All the Money In The World but i can wait for that to come out on demand.

We saw Father Figure on Christmas Eve. It really was a horrible movie. The language was terrible and the plot was pretty predictable.

Haha, when DH and I saw the previews we looked at each other and said *No way*! Well, I was outvoted. DH thought it would be funny...um, no. We almost walked out. The only reason we didn't was because we were in the very center of the row and had loads of people on both sides of us. It was painful to sit through it. SaveSave

DD and I saw The Greatest Showman last night. Five minutes in I turned to her and said “I already want to see this again!” We both absolutely loved it. I ❤️ Hugh Jackman!

I went to see Pitch Perfect 3 on Christmas. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but it got panned by critics. The last movie I saw was the Amy Schumer movie. I guess I just like funny (raunchy) female centered movies.
