I went and saw Conclave last week as a final hurrah before starting my new gig. Having read the book I really enjoyed it and thought it was a great adaptation. The guy in the row behind me was somewhat offended, so if you're not familiar at all with the book I guess it can go either way.

I think it’s good in a way that I don’t go in expecting the next thing in the story line. Curious as to why he was offended but that might give a spoiler.

Curious as to why he was offended but that might give a spoiler. There is a "twist" at the end that could have been the cause. The theatre had maybe 5 people in it to begin with and when he started talking about being offended we were the only 2 left. If I wasn't by myself I would have been more comfortable talking to him about it but I didn't want to engage. The story itself is about political goings on between Catholic priests, so the fact that they're depicted as humans with political aspirations may offend some. One of the groups is very much conservative in it's point of view of where the church is headed, the other is more liberal - allowing women to have a larger place in the running of the church, LGBTQ inclusion very similar in issue to non faith based political issues. then there's the twist. It's a great book and they did a nice job with the adaptation. Either is worth your time to go see it.
