I'm jealous pjaye! I was so looking forward to seeing the Guernsey movie in theatres. However, when I couldn't find it in my movie listings I did some googling and it seems Netflix grabbed it for North America! They have it scheduled for August release. I will watch it then but I would have really liked to see it on the BIG screen.

I saw Overboard yesterday with my 17-yr.-old son. There's a few subtitles as some of the movie is in Spanish. I do speak Spanish, so I enjoyed that. I thought the movie was very cute with tons of references and nods to the original. Not as good as the original but worth a matinee and time with my son. I thought Bad Samaritan looked intense. But I don't want to see it if it's that violent. I might see Breaking In if I hear some good reviews. Lisa

We just got back from seeing Tully with Charlize Theron. It is billed as a comedy. It is not. It has comedic moments but it is not a comedy. We enjoyed it considering when I bought the tickets this morning there was another woman in line whose friend walked by and said it was horrible. But, if you have seen it, could we discuss this using spoilers mode? Do you think Tully was real? We think she was a figment of her imagination. Perhaps a younger version of herself.

The critics didn't seem to like either one too much, but I'm not a fan of the critics anyway. Thanks for sharing!

I really enjoyed Breaking In. Felt a little like a Lifetime Movie but I like Gabrielle Union and thought she was great.
We saw Deadpool 2 yesterday - if you like the first one you'll like the 2nd one. A few surprising cameos!

It was her escape mechanism in order to cope with pp depression. I didn't think this was a comedy at all. I thought the bedroom waitress dress up scene was really odd. My rating would be 6 out of 10.

We saw Rampage and Life of the Party over the weekend. Rampage was good, a lot of action. Life of the Party has a good story and was pretty funny.
There were only about 6 people in the theater but there were 2 guys in there that were laughing so much during the movie that it made me enjoy it even more. I love to hear other people laughing at the movies.

Saw Breaking In today. It's a thriller about a woman trying to rescue her children ~ I won't say more because I don't want to give away any of the plot. If you like jump-out-of-your-seat movies, this one's for you. It won't win any academy awards but it is a decent flick.

We saw the docudrama "RBG" about Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg last week. (FWIW, I am a Liberal Republican-if there can be such a thing.)
We enjoyed it very much. RBG is and was a brilliant jurist who has always championed rights for women and families. Two thumbs up!!!

When we got married DH owned a sailboat ~ when he was *courting* me he took me out on the SF Bay, it was incredibly romantic. But no way would I ever go out in open water. I figure that's when movies-of-the-week happen! About 20 or so years ago he was helping a buddy bring a sailboat from Oregon to SF and got so sick they had to airlift him off the boat. THAT was almost a movie-of-the-week!

Yeah, when they left our house to drive up to Oregon, the last thing I said was *don't be the movie-of-the-week!* Three days later the other guy's wife calls me and asked if the Coast Guard has called me yet. I guess the weather went from very calm to a horrible storm and came up quickly. DH is an experienced sailor but he started vomiting and couldn't stop. Then he started passing out. His buddy put out a call to the Coast Guard who said just to take him to the next port. Luckily someone higher up heard the distress call and said *go get him*. They lowered one of those basket things and a Coast Guard guy helped him get in it and they took him back to Coos Bay where an ambulance was waiting to take him to the hospital. He doesn't remember much of it but the doctors said that second guy telling them to go get him might have saved his life. His buddy had to get the sailboat back to Coos Bay by himself but he said that was much easier than calling me and telling me DH hadn't made it.

We loved "Han Solo." The actor who plays Han grew on me as the movie progressed. It is hard not to think of Harrison Ford as Han, but I remember Harrison Ford from "American Graffiti" when he was just starting out too!!
Loved Woody Harrelson and Chewbacca!!!
Go see this space opera and enjoy.

Since we used to have a Westie, we loved the scenes with the dog. There were two scenes in the movie where everyone in the theater was laughing hysterically! I'm sure you can figure out which 2 they were.

I saw "Solo" today! Oh my goodness - I loved it so much but I am a huge Star Wars fan.
Question for those of you that have MoviePass - did you get notice that you now have to take a photo of your ticket stub and if you miss doing that more than once, you MoviePass will be canceled and you won't be able to ever sign up with MoviePass again? Today was the first time I went after getting that email and right after I bought my ticket, it prompted me to post a photo - I had to try 8 times before it would accept the photo.
The email said it is a new safeguard they are beta testing and tracks users behavior and makes sure they are complying with Terms of Use. I feel like it is just a way to weed out or get rid of some users. Especially if they have problems submitting photos like I did. Guess we will see.
