Just got home from seeing Now You See Me 2 about the illusionists (Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson) known as the Four Horsemen. The critics panned it but we found it to be entertaining although not as good as the first one. Good to know it was decent, because DH is very ancious to see it and it might be on our weekend agenda.

I saw Love and Friendship a couple weeks ago. I really enjoyed it, but the ending seemed a bit rushed to me.

We saw the conjuring 2 tonight. We all liked it pretty much but I thought it was too long.

Two thumbs up for Central Intelligence! It was like, last choice and we literally laughed all the way through it Surprise cameo at the end. At least to me! Hilarious out-takes before the credits rolled.

Saw Finding Dory on Thursday night; DD and I both thought it was great! I think I still like Nemo better, but it's a very good sequel. Sweet and funny and the visuals are stunning. Baby Dory is absolutely adorable.
It was,me, DD(16) and a theater full of teens. Lots of teen boys. Lol.

Went to see Central Intelligence with Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson. It was funny ~ since it was PG-13 there wasn't much bad language. The out-takes at the end were hilarious. I agree about the cameo towards the end. Didn't expect it.

I have never seen this thread till now.. so I read most of page 1 before figuring that out.. (slap my head)... but I have to say DD made us watch Deadpool.. that is an hour I will never get back in my life. I had to turn it off.. DH hated it too. Maybe because we are older? 45+ I love Ryan Reynolds though. I'll stick with The Proposal.. haha

However, I'm not sure that it will be possible right now. Anyone else looking forward to the Secret Life of Pets?

I just saw Hello, My Name is Doris on dvd. I love Sally Fields and Tyne Daly and was looking forward to it. It was one if the worst movies that I have seen in a long time. I kept waiting for it to get better but it never did. It was just stupid and uncomfortable to watch.

I went and saw Hello My Name is Doris on Sunday.
It stars Sally Field who plays a woman who lives with her elderly mom and when her mom dies she realizes she has put her life on hold to look after her mom.
She developes a crush on a younger coworker and she goes about finding ways to get him to be interested in her. Tyne Daly plays her BF.
I thought it was really good and is a great movie to go to with your GF.
I watched The Intern on movie central the other night it's an older movie but I really enjoyed it!

I didn't think it was bad just would have preferred a pg and non teenage boy mentality of it.

I went by myself most of the other ppl were seniors but they seemed to laugh along with me. I had never heard of it before Sunday but all my guys were going to Nice Guys and I had no desire to see that so went in with no expectations. I am pretty easy to please and I like cheesy romantic comedies and adore SF.

We saw The Conjuring last weekend (me, my dh, and my 16 year old dd) and we LOVED it. We are all horror fans and enjoyed both the other Conjouring movies (The Conjouring and Annabelle). We thought it felt very authentic. I think this franchise does a good job with that. The furniture, clothing, actors, just felt very real. The story was creepy. There were some genuine scares. I screamed out lout at least six times. I easily startle and scream in scary movies--my family gets a real kick out of it--but my dd rarely startles like that. We all thought that was very funny. Make sure you stay and watch the credits because you get to see the real people that the actors are portraying.
It's funny to see such strongly mixed reactions to the Hi, My Name is Doris. I have really been wanting to see that movie and now I'm worried!
I think my dd and I are going to watch Neighbors 2 this weekend at the dollar theater.

I am going to see either London Has Fallen or 10 Cloverfield Lane on Saturday, shoot maybe both if I have time. Next weekend I'll be seeing Allegiant. They've definitely taken some liberties from the book by the looks of the trailers, but I don't care I just want to stare at Theo James for 2 hours. 10 Cloverfield Lane was another one that I couldn't believe I sat all the way through. It was about a 4 out of 10 for me.

I finally watched 10 Cloverfield Lane. I told my husband I had this great movie to watch that came highly rated. We both didn't like it. lol It was ok enough for the first 3/4 and then the end was just silly, but that is totally not my kind of movie (I don't want to give anything away). I didn't research it well because I was told to go into it not knowing anything. Oh well. I guess we'd give it a 6 out of 10, at most. I took my kids to see Finding Dory on opening night. Adorable! Baby Dory is the cutest. We all really enjoyed it. SaveSave

All four of us in our family went and watched Conjuring 2. My son, who is Mr. Coolio, jumped in his seat and got goosebumps. For added effects, right at a tense scary part, someone banged, banged, banged & slammed the exit door as if that demon was coming for us!!! That was great! Must have been one of the theatre employees. You shoulda heard the screams!!!

We saw the Conjuring 2 on Saturday night. We LOVED it! We saw it at the iPic theater where we sat in one of the pods, so I felt like I could scream freely We tried to see it while we were in Montreal the weekend it opened, but when we got to the theater, they were actually showing La Conjuration 2. I just didn't feel like it would have been nearly as scary in French We also saw the new Xmen movie a couple of weeks ago and we really enjoyed that. It was nice seeing Sansa Stark in something besides GoT.

We are pretty big movie goers.
The last two we've seen were:
The conjuring 2 - liked it pretty good. I got the chills a few times but no big jumps for me. Completely worth seeing!
Now you see me 2 - I really enjoyed it, my dh and his friend thought it was just too long. My DS15 thought it was awesome. He saw it before we did and told me to pay attention from the very beginning. I'm glad I had that advice.

Trumbo Just watched this on dvd. It is about the Hollywood blacklist and The House On UnAmerican Activities. It was an excellent, excellent movie. Helen Mirren was great as Hedda Hopper and Brian Cranston was his usual fabulous self as Trumbo. Dalton Trumbo deserves to have his story told in movie form. When all is said and done it is a feel good movie.

We just got back from Central Intelligence and all 3 of us loved it. Hilarious! It was MUCH better than I thought it was going to be.
Last week we saw Now You See Me 2 and we liked that one as well, but not as much as the original.
We are going to see Independence Day 2 this weekend, and I'm sure it won't win an Oscar, but I hope it is at least decent.

Has anyone here seen A Royal Night Out? It's based on the Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret being allowed out to celebrate with the masses on VE Day. We are going through previews, trying to rent some movies for the weekend and this one caught DH's attention. Just wondering if it was worth the rental. Thanks for any input you might have!

Of course my favorite movie is Quiz Show, so right along the same vein of storytelling.

Went to Independence Day: Resurgence tonight. It was a decent action movie and worth seeing if you liked the first one. Not as good as the original as is the case with most sequels, but entertaining.
Love the cast. So many great actors!
