I have three travel albums that I would like to be completed by the end of May(ish). In total, there are 158 pages. I have finished 58 of the pages. When I write my goals on the fridge calendar, I am much more motivated. I also need to give one of the albums a s a gift, so that helps too. I finished two of the albums (116 pages) and the third one still needs 32 pages to be finished. I can finish that in June. Feeling accomplished.

I find it too overwhelming to even think about my goals. :/ The same feeling of being overwhelmed has kept me out of my scrap room for almost 2 months now. This road block is frustrating.

I am hoping to finish dgs's album by the end of May. Hoping to use the NSD challenges & activities and the 2 Peas Tell Your Story challenges to give me ideas and motivation. I am also enrolled in LOAD516 over at ScrapHappy, but that is more of a way to play and have fun. Well, I didn't finish his album, but I made a really good progress. Happy with the pages I have finished. Actually I have just Easter and a general spring LO to do and I will be done March. Originally, I was thinking I would end it with the adoption declaration the first of April, but now I guess it will also include May to June. So like the horizon, the goal keeps moving ahead of me... And I really need to get "caught up" with pix of the other grandkids now. After Calgary, I have a stack of photos 3 inches high, all sorted and ready to jump onto sb pages when my energy returns and I have some uninterrupted time. In a perfect world, the garden would weed itself, the bedding plants would be out in the garden already and the house would be self cleaning--you know, like a self cleaning oven! And the laundry appliances would sort, fold, and hang up clothes. Had fun in LOAD, and completed over 20 journal pages. Have the list of prompts ready for when I feel like playing with them. I like having a new prompt each day, but the daily deadline was too much for me. Some days I can create a lot of things; other days do not lend themselves to artful persuits.

I find it too overwhelming to even think about my goals. :/ The same feeling of being overwhelmed has kept me out of my scrap room for almost 2 months now. This road block is frustrating. ((((Hugs))))) When I have a block like that, I drop the big goals and just get back into doing what I love: playing with paper and embellishments and all the pretty paints and inks and... It also helps to switch it up. If you are scrapping chronologically, just grab a photo out of order and be a rebel! I find if I can put the fun back into the process, everything flows better and I actually get more done. Playing with art journaling helps me think differently, and because there are no right answers--and really no questions, except for "I wonder what would happen if..."--there is no pressure to produce a certain number of pages or commit a particular event or set of photos to pages. I didn't finish any of the goals I set for myself for May, but I like to congratulate myself on what I DID do. Hope you venture into your scraproom soon...

I would just love to have a few hours to sit and just play with my stash lol. I'm finding it hard to carve out some time with a 14 month old. I've slowly started making some cards when I need them but I can't wait to scrap some layouts. Would love to start a journaling book.

My goal is to just use stuff up! No saving all the new pretty stuff for the perfect layout. I have so much scrap crap I need to just use it! Didn't even touch this goal. Sadly, I lost an aunt and 2 cousins in a little over six weeks. I didn't get to go to my big weekend crop i was prepping for cause of this. So between hospitals, hospice, funerals, mothers day, graduations, end of school year stuff and a short vacation to Sedona in honor of what would have been my dad's 72nd birthday, I haven't touched A THING! I'm hoping things will slow down now that schools out and I'm able to get something, anything done! Even if it's just fondling my scrappy stuff!!

I'm sorry -I've been there before. Sometimes making basic cards (nothing fancy or complicated) has helped me break through that - I feel like I've accomplished something creative and it gets me fired up to keeping on playing with paper. Maybe think in terms of a single layout or a single challenge rather than looking at the big (overwhelming) picture of everything you want to do

It is hard to find time with a toddler - I found that to be a hard age to be creative as they are old enough to be mobile and too young to grasp 'don't touch'. Good luck carving out some time for you.

I have been cleaning up my room for four days. I just go in for an hour or two a day. I am really left brained in organization and the thing that helps me is to make a list of every little thing I need to get done. I tell myself in the summer that I should do x amount of things. Yesterday I got five things checked off. Today I am shooting for two. It doesn't matter when I finish, but if it is written down I am much more likely and motivated to get something done. Without a list, I am a total slug (and love that too).

I looked at it as baby jail (as a mom myself), but my mom got stuff done.

I had 2 small ones who where 17 months apart! Plus a 7 year old!

I don't usually have scrap foals, because, for me, that would make it feel like something I had to do, instead of a hobby. BUT, I have a new nephew coming in Sept., and I'd like to have a first year baby album done for him by the time I go to see him. I'd also like to have an 8x8 vacation album done as a gift to my brother/SIL of the trip we took to see them in April, and take it with me when I go to meet the baby.

Now they are 20 and 22 and they can still sleep that much.

I'm plugging away at my big project which is scrapping travel photos from the 90s. I've been getting a few layouts done each weekend so I'm pretty happy with that. I also want to do some cards for upcoming birthdays and also just spend a few hours playing with my new Cameo machine and testing things out.

So it's been about a month since this thread was posted - how is everyone coming on their goals? Did we make progress or did the busy Mother's Day/Memorial Day/end of school season derail you? Have your goals changed? Awesome follow up! I did finish my dd's 8th grade photos.

grammadee, linda, and 950nancy, thank you ladies for your kind posts! I ventured over to this board for the first time in a couple months and it just left me feeling so bummed. And how could I have missed out on TYS! What a cool idea. I mustered up some energy and gave myself 30 minutes to do something in my craft room last night, anything. I started a layout! I got paper down, the picture, and the title. I'm hoping maybe tonight I can get the journaling and embellies done. I couldn't have done it without your compassion. <3

I bought a BoBunny calendar kit from my LSS, but I am using it to do a two page spread for each month this year. My scrapbooky version of monthly Project Life I guess. I need to do March and April, and then keep on track for the rest of the year. I'm debating whether to repeat pictures that got their own separate layout. I want to get my photos organized. I do not have a set routine for printing and often lose pics and end up reprinting. I just want to be creative and have fun. Well, I was creative and I did have fun. I did LOAD but I didn't get my two month spreads done. Maybe this month. I also tried scrapbooking on my phone and I might do more of that while traveling. My photos are a step closer to organized. I put all the latest ones randomly in a large photo organizer. It might take time to find them, but if they are printed I know where they are.

My goal is for this Saturday. Hubby will be gone all day. I want to scrap ALL DAY and finish a gardening book I am making for my dad for Father's Day/Birthday (he had 3 minor strokes and just found out that he needs to stay in a facility for the rest of his life).

I'm another who has a goal of just getting started again! I don't need to be caught up- I don't expect that to ever happen. But I need to create for me. The boys and I started and finished a "crafty" project this week, and I love how it turned out. They loved being a part of it, so I might have to figure out how to scrap *with them* in order to get to anything. Here's our art:

They loved being a part of it, so I might have to figure out how to scrap *with them* in order to get to anything. How old are they? When my youngest was a toddler - I gave her a glue stick (washable), cheap cardstock, scraps of paper/cardstock, and a small collection of fun stickers (plus any leftover stickers I ended up with...like the random Z and Q on a alpha sheet) AND a box to keep it in. She had her own little table next to mine and I ONLY pulled out her scrapbooking supplies if I was also scrapping (so it was special). Any leftover photos - you know how you print 4 and only use 3 on the layout? Or back in the day with film cameras - the blurry ones? I handed off to her also. She's 9 now and still has her box of scrapbooking stuff but she also raids my supplies now (she has to ASK first)

Have your goals changed? Yes, I did finish my 2015 WITL! Yay! I locked myself in my scrap room for a day and a half and knocked it out. I apologized to DH for disappearing to work on the project and he said, "No worries - it's important." I married right! And ... I did also take photos and notes for 2016 WITL 2 weeks ago, so I'm getting ready to put together my 2016 album. Rocked both my goals!
