It is okay for you to judge people and call them names? Nice. That's okay. You must be a Hillary supporter. We forgive you. Yup I have reach the point in my life that I call it as I see it. Folks don't like it then that is on them. But what I find interesting is you appear to suggest that Trump's behavior is acceptable. Are you a Trump supporter? Then if you are I can't forgive you for that. And if you aren't....... Your attitude is why there can't be civilized conversations about why people would vote for Trump. I personally plan to curl up in the fetal position and cry in November.

What I don't understand is how he repeatedly makes comments like that and gets a free pass. Why? If any other candidate had made even one derogatory comment, well, the media would be all over them. Are you kidding me? Have you not had the news on at all? News media is eviscerating him daily. Even the non-US peas have said that it's all they are seeing on the news. No one in the media is saying anything good about him so I'm not sure where you are coming from with what you posted.

Interesting that you equate belittling with being honest.

I'm sorry, that wasn't worded very well. I should probably have said voters instead of the media. What I was trying to say (and not very well ), if another candidate was making these comments, I don't know that they'd still have the same support from the voters that he seems to have. It's almost like people expect to hear outrageous comments from him now. I don't know that any other candidate could have made the same comments and still received as much support. I apologize, I don't think I've explained myself very well, even now.

In the general election assuming Trump and Clinton are the nominees, I can. There are people including my DH who absolutely would never vote for Hillary Clinton just as I absolutely would never vote for the Donald Trump we have come to know over the last few months. Even if he were a respectable man, he still wouldn't be remotely qualified for the job and has no specific plans on how to do anything. Clinton has plenty of issues though I think she has plenty of qualifications as well. But I can understand why many won't vote for her.
It was during the primaries that I could not understand it. There were at one time 17 candidates and all but perhaps Carson were more qualified. At the end, Cruz and Kasich were either one far better so that is where I don't get it because none of the arguments I've heard about "Trump tells it like it is" or "Trump is a businessman" are a good reason IMO to vote for him for dog catcher much less leader of the free world.

I personally can't understand why anyone would vote for Trump, Clinton, or Sanders. I want new candidates to choose from. Unfortunately, the chance of my getting what I want is pretty much nil at this point. I don't like choosing the lesser of three evils. I wish there was a candidate to really get excited about.

I did not excuse his behavior, just like I didn't excuse yours. I don't think presidential candidates should run off at the mouth. I'm not sure that I have seen one yet who deserves the office. Really, Asa country we should have a much higherstandard. But with regular people calling others stupid for having an opinion, what can we expect?

Using "honesty" as an excuse for being rude and insulting? Has the irony of this exchange even crossed your mind? I think that's what krazyscrapper was quietly showing you, but zoom! right over your head it went.

I don't get it either. I get not liking Hillary - my husband can't stand her. But he's going to hold his Reagan Democrat nose and vote for her because the thought of Trump having his finger on the nuclear trigger is terrifying. He's impulsive, irrational and stupid. He seriously could bring us to nuclear armageddon. I wish I was using hyperbole.

I didn't think bazinga ever said he(?) is a Trump supporter. If I missed it, I'm sure someone will point it out to me.
I honestly don't know what the hell I'm going to do in November, and I truly would like to know why some people think Trump is-in any way- a good candidate. I agree that krazyscrapper calling anyone who would vote for Trump 'stupid' is pretty much guaranteed to shut down any meaningful discussion. She could be honest without resorting to the name-calling. And I'm saying all this as someone who cannot find one redeeming thing about Trump as a candidate, or as a human being.

Also, there are numerous safe guards in place so a president can't throw a hot-headed temper tantrum and just push the button.

My point is that with all the belittling people are doing to Trump supporters, it is highly unlikely that a civilized conversation with a Trump supporter will occur. I like to have respectful conversations, even with people with different views than mine. Apparently, you don't.

Like, say North Korea, or some place like Iran? What makes you think nuclear armageddon is only possible if the U.S. strikes first?

Just questioning why krazy had to go and start hurling insults, which is pretty much guaranteed to shut down a real discussion and bring on the pea drama, as has been so aptly demonstrated with the latest call-out thread.

Speaking politely about it just gets you shouted down, or ... belittled! Ask the other 16 Republican wannabes. But I do apologize for labeling you a Trump supporter, if you aren't really.

But what I find interesting is you appear to suggest that Trump's behavior is acceptable. Are you a Trump supporter? Then if you are I can't forgive you for that. And if you aren't....... Congratulations, you sound EXACTLY like Donald Trump now. Name calling bigotry and all! And you appear to find that behavior completely acceptable and preferable.

With all due respect one can't put any of the other previous 16 Republican candidates or the two Democratic Candidates in the same category as Trump. Like them don't like them that is your choice. But Trump is too dangerous for everyone to be nicey nice about. I get people want change and I get people are unhappy with what is happening in DC but supporting a person who could start WWIII is dumb. As much as anyone of us dislikes any or all of the current or previous candidates none will send us to WWIII if elected president. And as much as it pains me to say that about the previous 16 Republican candidates it is a true statement. That can't be said about Trump. Which means one has to question the intelligence of his supporters. If being honest about Trump goes against what you or anyone feels is acceptable. Ok so be it. I'm ok with it!

He regularly calls people stupid so it must be ok for everyone else. There no longer will be respectful conversations, that when out the door when Trump opened it. everyone but me is stupidSaveSave

Oh and for the supreme hypocrisy, people berate Trump for his name-calling but then turn around and do exactly the same thing themselves. I wanna scream this from the roof tops! From whats happened at the rallys to what goes on on social media the behavior is insane and inexcusable. I don't care how you disagreee. I said it on the protest thread. In fact it down right makes me want to vote for him. Tolerance is a two way street
