I don't get it either. I really don't - I can understand why someone wouldn't like Hillary or Bernie but I just don't understand how people could really want this guy as president of the USA

I happened to have CNN on when Jake Tapper first interviewed Mr. Trump and was absolutely stunned to hear how he was characterizing the judge over his case.
I tried to explain it later to my son, but gave up because words failed me and had him watch the video instead.
It was offensive in so many ways.

Because they're stupid, racist, homophobic, stupid, backwards, unAmerican, stupid, supremacist, uneducated, stupid, ethnocentric, xenophobic, stupid, lemmings, haters, simpleminded, gullible, stupid, chauvinistic, misogynistic, stupid, misanthropic.
Did I miss any?
(This is not my view of all the people who would vote for him, but what other direction could this thread possibly go? You're not really looking to understand it, are you?)

I personally can't understand why anyone would vote for Trump, Clinton, or Sanders.
I want new candidates to choose from. Unfortunately, the chance of my getting what I want is pretty much nil at this point.

Like most people I have definite opinions regarding all of the candidates. In the end all I can do is voice my opinion through my personal vote in November.

Focusing on Benghazi seems a little hypocritical. All deaths are tragic.

My husband is voting for Trump because he won't vote for Clinton so it's more a vote against his least favorite. I'm so irritated with his decision that I dont' even talk to him about it anymore. I'm so torn I actually looked into the lesser known parties and I don't like them either. I have no idea what I'm going to do come November.

You know, I really am trying to understand. I get that some people may vote for him just to keep Hilary out of office. Whatever. I disagree, but it is what it is. It's the people who actively support and like him as a nominee that I don't get. And there seem to be so many of them. I do think it's telling that so many are defensive about it. It's like they know they're doing something really wrong and don't feel good about it, but they're going to defend it as a great choice anyway.

The reality is ,that for whatever their reason, anyone who votes for Trump is just plain stupid.
I get folks don't like Hillary for whatever their reason. But when you watch and listen to Trump it becomes clear how paranoid he is. He can't or won't control himself. His rantings about that judge are disgraceful. Imagine that same scenario if as president he feels a world leader is out to get him like he feels this judge is. Or a world leader isn't being nice to him and he ,as he has said, has to counterpunch. Right now all he has is Twitter to do his counterpunching with. But as president look at the arsenal he will have at his disposal if he feels someone isn't being "nice" to him.

I hear that people are tired of the status quo.. they want change.. but seriously? How can this be an improvement? It is time to stop making American politics about the person and make it about the policies.

Typical liberal bullshit "think like I think or else you must be stupid." It's amazing how intolerant the self-appointed tolerant ones are. Of course that tolerance only extends to people who think like they do.
And it's amazing how people who are such hypocrites themselves can point the finger at somebody else. I'm out of here.nobody here is the least bit interested in understanding anything about the other side. Posts like this are done only so that they can continue to tell those who don't think like they do have stupid ,uninformed and wrong they are.

Oh and for the supreme hypocrisy, people berate Trump for his name-calling but then turn around and do exactly the same thing themselves.

I had a Facebook friend post a link about how great Trump was and he said don't believe what the liberal media is feeding you! I'm judging Trump based on the words that come out of his mouth! I've said it before and I will say it again, it's terrible that it's going to be between Hillary and Trump.
If I HAD to choose, it would be Hillary, as unethical as she is and how much flip-flopping she has been on issues. Trump is a big baby and a fraud. What is he going to do if he gets mad at North Korea? Sue them? Push the red button? He scares the hell out of me when it comes to foreign policy. I will probably pick a third party candidate.

Post like this are done only so that they can continue to tell those who don't think like they do have stupid uninformed and wrong they are. If the Republicans had picked one of the other 16 candidates as nominee then the discussion would be about the difference in policy between the two parties with the Republicans going on how could the Democrats chose someone as untrustworthy as Hillary and the Democrats wondering why would the Republicans pick someone as extreme as Cruz, or as inexperienced as Rubio, or why would anyone want to elect Jeb since he only wants to reinstate his brothers failed policies. Normal political blabbing. But we are past that with Trump. Its not about his policies it's about his temperament. It's becoming clearer and clearer that Trump is an unstable paranoid petty fool who does not have the temperament to be President of the most powerful country in the world. This is an observation felt by other Republicans, Democrats, & world leaders. So by all means stomp off claiming nobody wants to understand. I think rational people understand all too well about Trump and his supporters.

I understand.....they'll vote for him because of their hatred of HRC. It certainly couldn't be because of his personality, temperament or political experience. or maybe they are just like him and like that about him. Personally, I think I'd rather admit to hating HRC.

Or that they are Republican and HAVE TO. I've posted several times asking what's so great about him and nothing but crickets. Not one response I've seen lists any positive attributes that he is the person who should be elected.

So here's what I said on another thread - I don't know anyone voting for Trump who is doing so because they love him. They just think that he's going to screw things up in a different direction than Hillary. I consider it a case of "do you want to bend over and get screwed this way or that way." Both ways suck, but one is worse in your mind than the other.

But what I find interesting is you appear to suggest that Trump's behavior is acceptable. Are you a Trump supporter? Then if you are I can't forgive you for that. And if you aren't.......

What I don't understand is how he repeatedly makes comments like that and gets a free pass. Why?
If any other candidate had made even one derogatory comment, well, the media would be all over them.

I don't see how any side can convince the other of their choices.
