I agree. When I clicked out I was expecting pillows or wall decor!

I actually cringed when I watched the video of her dancing with the wrapping paper. Seriously cringed.

Shipping for one roll was $9 for me. Yeah, that's never going to happen. Like someone else said, I hate wrapping paper, use gift bags wherever possible and give gift cards 90% of the time in a card I made.

I guess I don't really see how wrapping paper = home. I was expecting a lot more from a big launch like she was building up. I found it very underwhelming. I thought "home" would = cushions, throws, frames, bowls, coffee cups.... kinda like kikki-k "home"

Don't like feeling like the loyal wife left behind for the younger hipper model. That makes me think of how I felt when she came out with Project Life after I followed her for years at Creating Keepsakes. I bought her books (even did her time consuming lettering from her book) and then she came out with PL and it's like all the stuff she did in the CK years was forgotten. LOL I sound like a jilted wife too. She's always talking about how amazed she is that she's so successful and that project life is so loved. And I'm over here like did you forget you were already successful and famous at creating keepsakes?

I commented on her post that I'd love to see her designs on bedding... a lovely black and white spotted or striped duvet would be lovely. That said, postage to the UK would probably keep me shopping at Ikea :/

So I'm thinking it's a whole line and everyone is just talking about the wrapping paper. No? It's really just wrapping paper?
Don't get me wrong, I've always liked her - bought her books, do PL, etc., but if you're calling it HOME, it should be more than just wrapping paper.

Don't get me wrong, I've always liked her - bought her books, do PL, etc., but if you're calling it HOME, it should be more than just wrapping paper. You have to start somewhere. BUT...I think if you are hyping something up, if you need to start one at a time, how about trying to start with the most exciting thing you have to offer...or even second best. If this is the top item for this new venture, I'm wondering how it will go from here. However, you actually CAN use wrapping paper as decor. Raising Cane's wraps their pictures with wrapping paper at Christmastime and I think it looks kind of neat (then again, I've also seen the same idea used at McDonald's). But seeing as I hate wrapping gifts, so I don't see myself trying to wrap picture frames...so...

I actually cringed when I watched the video of her dancing with the wrapping paper. Seriously cringed. I had to go find the video based on this comment. That video is hysterically funny. And not in a great sense of humor kind of way. I lasted 20 seconds. I just couldn't take anymore.

I'm trying to continue to follow her because I have enough product to do Project Life for about 20 years, not to mention the digital and app kits I have, but it's getting harder and harder to not click unfollow.
I know the point is to sell product, but I can't take the constant "here is how I do my make up" "how to hang a picture using command strips" etc. Do people really ask where everything she wears and has in her home is from? Do people not know how to hang pictures?
Honestly, if all the information posts about her life were done in a Project Life page, I'd be less annoyed.
I must be really negative tonight too because I'm sure she's a wonderful person and I'm happy she is successful. She's obviously worked hard, but it's getting harder and harder to believe she scrapbooks. I do like the wrapping paper, sucker for paper products, but am not sure I'd order.
I actually wrote that I wanted to see less "favorite product" stuff and fluff from her and her staff, or for them to start a separate account for it or something, on a survey she had up a few months ago. I just want to see her crafting & scrapping and photo organization ideas. That's it. I don't give two cents about what laundry detergent she uses and things like that and it was just cluttering up my brain. After getting tired of scrolling through this kind of thing, I finally unfollowed her on various social media platforms. It made me sad, because she is part of the reason I started scrapping and I do generally like seeing that sort of stuff from her, but I just hated the exessive content more.

I love a good wrapping paper, but these don't excite me. Also, her video on YouTube kind of made me cringe. It's just... dorky, for lack of a better description. Sorry, Becky #SorryNotSorry Made me laugh out loud!

I've never used stone paper. Our Container Store opens in October, I can't wait to see their collection this holiday season.

OK I looked at the video and I am not impressed. Is this some kind of indestructible wrapping paper? She was biting it and trying to rip it. I pity the poor child that will get a gift wrapped up in this paper and they can't rip open their present, I mean isn't that the whole point of wrapping a present in paper?

I actually LOVE the idea of indestructible wrapping paper. My mom would die. She likes to keep her special papers, and I'm sure she cringes a little when we tear into our gifts. LOL If I were to buy this, I would certainly NOT use it for kids. It would be for adults only...the ones I would usually use a bag for.

I am a huge fan of things that hold things. I don't buy a lot from there, but if I do, I love it. I already have a giant plastic bin of maybe 30 Christmas rolls that I use every year. All of my presents are beautifully wrapped with homemade tags and each bow is made from several yards of ribbon (reuse them every year). I worked as a wrapper on Christmas at the mall and fell in love with beautiful packages. I think the most I have ever spent on a huge roll was $4 at Hobby Lobby when the rolls were on sale. I usually pick up a roll or two after Christmas each year for much less.

Wow just wrapping paper? I was expecting some more... oh well. I'm surprised she didn't try to tie in crafting, like having nice quality blank paper rolls plus a stamp and ink set so you can customize your wrapping paper. Unless she thinks we're too busy to craft now

I reckon there's loads more products to come... this paper probably just got back from the manufacturers first. She'll do well - her stuff's top rate and she's an excellent business woman. That paper did look pretty indestructible in the video but that would make it awesome for covering books. Not that I'm the sort of person who would cover all their books to match their decor. Or anything that crazy.

Unless she thinks we're too busy to craft now That's not her MO. Her MO is plain, quick and simple. That kind of stuff takes time. You hear it every time she pushes her app over EVERY other item she sells.

Don't need it in my precious moments of relaxation/hobby time - unless it's about hobby items.

Obviously I'm in the minority here but I highly enjoy Becky and her approach to life. I was just thinking today when I saw an Instagram story by her that she is absolutely gorgeous and put together and I see why people follow her. I've watched on her feed and people DO ask her over and over and over and over and over and over "Where did you get THAT??!! " I mean after a while, she'd have to not be very bright to not try to cash in on that, right? She's a brilliant business woman. I think she will always love scrapbooking and I think she still fits it into her life but at this time in her life, she's hyper focused on her business and building it. Why not expand into home based products if she sees a potential market for it? I'm quite certain the gift wrap is only the first of many home products and she's just getting the idea into people's heads now because we'll be upon the Christmas season soon and lots of gift wrap will be purchased. If I follow someone on social media and they annoy me in any way, I unfollow them. I don't continue to follow them expecting them to be a different version of themselves. She's not going to change her approach to life or business in my opinion because what she is doing now is working well. For every person she annoys, she thrills 10 more and I would venture to say, even those of you who are annoyed by her will buy a Project Life product with her name on it if the design is right. I think she's like the Martha Stewart of our industry. At some point, she'll have her hands in a lot of different things and she'll have her own empire.

A LOT. And I unfollowed. Same with Amy tan. Love her bright happy outlook on life and jack is a cutie but then Dunkin donuts kept showing up in her feed and unfollow I did.

I really like Becky and her products. I'll remain a fan of her products but feel like she's quickly becoming a little bit too much for me. One or two Instagram stories from the concert last night...ok I guess. Multiple?! Really it's just ridiculous and too over the top for me. And I have issues with adult women who try to act cutesy. I can't decide if she is just trying TOO hard or what. Several times lately I've been turned off by her look at me, narcissistic attitude.

I agree with your MS analogy, because I think Becky is that person in our industry. However, as a business owner, you *have* to listen to the feedback you are getting. You can't make it personal. If you're annoying the living daylights out of your fanbase...they're eventually going to walk away. SaveSave

950nancy Yes, I'm in Omaha. The Container Store took over the food court at Westroads. Some food relocated in the mall and they opened a new concept food hall that features local restaurants.
