Thanks for sharing! Love your pages scrapaddict702My room is such a mess I could never shift it all around for a photo shoot. And since I am in the middle of at least 2 projects, it won't be cleaned up any time soon. But I am really thankful for my own space to work and play, and for the DOOR that shuts out the noise of the rest of the house, and any judgemental eyes!

I just want to thank you all for "hosting" this. There were a few surprises this week and I forgot to start, but it's never too late!

I decided to lighten it up a bit for Day FOUR. Prompt is posted in its own thread.
How are you doing? Hoping this is a positive experience and not just an added pressure.

I have loved seeing all your 6x6 layouts. Yours are soooo much cuter than mine, that's for sure! I'm starting to be ok with what I chose to use for this project. I think it's just not my usual style or vibe.

I think it's just not my usual style or vibe. Thank you! I'm happy with how they are turning out...I was hopeful when I chose 6x6, but this is my first time working in this size. I'm sure your pages look great!! I think being a PLer helps...if I wasn't, I'd probably be so lost, lol. For traditional layouts I can't make them without sketches, so I'm thinking that the photos taking up so much space kind of helps as it limits my options.

This is the first chance I've had to pop in here since the 1st and I'm really enjoying all the insights and pages. I had some unexpected health issues this week and today is the first day I'm (mostly) up and about and I'm already 4 days behind. Ack. The good news is, I kind of know what my first four pages will be so I'm going to take my time and just keep plugging away. It really emphasizes my theme or "Gratitude Attitude" as Grammadee called it - this year it's "There's always, always, ALWAYS something to be thankful for". So thank you for keeping this inspirational thread going!

Love your pages, scrapaddict702 . Goin with the double page spreads seems to be really working for you. Don't get down on yourself, iheartpaper As you get more used to working with this size of page, the project will get easier. And there is no "right" way to do this. My 6x8" journal is a lot smaller canvas than I am used to, as well. I've been adding photos for each prompt, but may choose to do some of the pages with journaling only. As someone has already commented, "That's the most important thing, anyway".

I went to sleep last night at 8:30pm...yay! I didn't do yesterday's page about my mom, so I'll work on today's page at the same time.
I know this is going to sound crazy, but today, I'm thankful for good deals. I have never really worked. A part time job or babysitting here or there, but I've had kids at home since our first anniversary. I rely heavily on good deals to make my budget go farther. It's a game to me that makes me happy whether it's at the grocery store, scrapbook purchases, JCPennys, etc. I'm very thankful that I can provide for my family in this way. Yesterday DD17 went with me and today DH is. We'll even be filling up our gas tanks for super cheap today, although I prefer the free fill ups instead!

Good one, iheartpaper ! I am hoping to build something like this into the prompt for Black Friday. Not sure what to call it yet, but "Good Deals" will certainly be in the running for that!

I am finally caught up. I had a couple of free hours today in my scrap room and I knocked it out. I changed a few things from what I had originally planned, but I'm keeping in mind that this is a month-long project so it's the sum total of the project that matters, not the the quality of each individual page (this is Ali's DD philosophy). I just let it go in a couple of places and just rolled with it. Doing it in the Daisy Dori is really helpful. It's so small and there's already some stuff on the page, and I already did a few things to set up the book, so it's going along quickly.

BTW I am extremely thankful that I am not in this alone! Loving all the comments and progress reports, the shared pages.

I had to play catch-up from Friday through today. Because of the 6x6 size and the DIY kit, it was a breeze. The hardest part was making sure I did today justice.
I chose my oncologist who I could never thank enough for saving my life. She is truly the reason I am here today, because before our first meeting the doctors were talking about pain management which is palliative care (making your final time comfortable). Luckily I had no idea at the time. My sister, who handled all my care, knew. She kept it to herself until I was ready to know.
A huge surgery, twenty rounds of chemo and the care of my world class oncologist and I've been no evidence of cancer for 1 1/2 years. At 5 years I will be considered a survivor!!! I already feel like a survivor...who wouldn't?

Hoping to work on my album a little bit today. I have an easier go for the weekend because we just used my cell phone for pictures (found out just before our game yesterday that my camera wouldn't be allowed in the stadium, so it never even left our suitcase), but I have no clue how to pick just a few pictures seeing as I don't want to go more than a double page spread for each day. I had the most amazing time this weekend. We are absolutely exhausted due to having to walk a long distance (the game messed up the bus routes and caused us to miss them at the stop we were at...said it was coming and then removed the stop from the list when we texted for updates, so we ended up walking about 2 miles back to our car after waiting for 45 minutes for the bus) so we left LA 2 hours later than we thought we would, but it was an amazing weekend away nevertheless. We had so much fun.
I had very low hopes for the Panthers' performance yesterday (this season has been rough) and while the game didn't have anything spectacular happen in terms of scoring plays or great drives, they got the W and there were so many other Panthers fans, way more than we expected. It was so cool to see considering I figured most people we saw last year were bandwagon fans and this year, they aren't doing so great (still firmly in last place in the NFC South), but there were just as many of us as there were Rams fans. Leaving my kids Saturday morning was hard, but they had a blast with their grandma (we facebook video chatted a few times) so seeing them having fun made it easier. I'm so fortunate to have such an awesome MIL for her to come out and help with them like that. In fact, she is at the park with the younger 2 right now (oldest is at school), so it's nice and quiet in the house at the moment. I am so grateful for her.

It's good for everyone. Your MIL gets to spend quality time with your little ones and vice versa, but more importantly you and your significant other get to spend the time together. I've always been a big advocate of that. DH and I took yearly cruises/vacations alone when the kids were little. My sister would keep the girls. We'd switch and take her kids for their time spent together. The kids always loved spending the time together, so everyone wins. Once we left them for 18 days and cruised to Hawaii and back...they were a bit jealous, but they learned early on that it was important for us. They went on multiple vacations most years with us and as they got older on trips without us so they didn't miss out on travel.

Glad you had a good time and that your mil was able to stay with the kids. I have 2 childcare gigs set up before Christmas. One ds & wife are heading to Vegas and another couple to Mexico. I love it! It's great to spend quality time with the dgk's and every couple needs a little free time. I am am really thankful that my kids' spouses all trust me with their kids so I can truly be part of their lives

Got my day 4 done today. Much easier since I already had my pictures printed out. Narrowing down faves from this weekend is going to be difficult, though. ETA: link would be helpful. Also, if you scan my insta feed, you'll see that I also got to meet Becky Higgins and Madison Parker (owner of Echo Park Paper, one of my favorite brands...I have attended many virtual crops at scrapbooksteals where he was present and I recognized his voice as soon as I heard him, haha) at the Scrapbook Expo on Saturday. It was pretty cool.

I got caught up today, but my photo editor is not cooperating. I can't upload pics of my layouts. Friday for life's little pleasures I took a picture of my craft room. Saturday, I spent 11 hours with my step daughter helping her buy a new car. DH was sick, so I went. That day I was thankful for life experiences and that I could help her get the best possible deal. Sundays, I celebrated football and today I took a pic of all my electronic devices for my layout.

I'm starting to really love the 6x6 format and as the eight pages have started to fill in the album I'm really liking the layouts. Of course I LOVE what the album is about. A few years ago I made an 8x8 album about the people/things I love and one for DD19 to keep in her dorm, but this 30 Days of Thankful is much more meaningful. I'm really glad I jumped on board with you all!

I can't use this election cycle as something to be thankful for. Instead, I will print photos of my children and write the cute story about my son's thoughts on who should win. I am thankful that he takes after his parents and that we have time to continue teaching him how to grow up into a great man who can go about implementing the RIGHT change for this nation.
I will be honest, I am sick to my stomach and completely uninspired right now. I just can't with this.
