I just picked a 6x6 We R 3 ring binder album for the project. Really excited to get started, but I have no idea what direction I'm going to go in.
Thanks for all of the motivation!

I mentioned on the other thread that I'm going to do candy for breakfast for Nov 1. I put the adorable little package of Haribo Gummy Bears on top of his candy pile. Hoping DS picks that tomorrow so I can add the package to my book. If he doesn't pick it, I will claim it as candy tax. Either way, an adorable little package of Haribo is going in my book for Nov 1.

Tonight I put together an album kit and made the title page. It's ok, but not great. I'm wondering if I'm just not good at scrapping with Fall colors? Or did I force it with the simple things I chose? I'll look at it with fresh perspective in the morning.
I'm thankful that I was able to be creative...even if it wasn't my favorite!

Thank you! I am going to record things every day and take pictures, and then put my album together. Today is my son's birthday and tomorrow is my daughter's, so the first two days are easy.

I have added the prompt for Day TWO to the op--and into a separate thread.
I don't have a page to share for Day Two, but I have started a summary page based on this image I found when googling Gratitude. I penciled in 30 lines crossing at mid page. Then I glued a diecut circle on top of the center to hold my title. I have started to use the lines to guide letter &/or word stickers that name each item for which I am thankful. I will share my completed page at the end of the month. For now, I am attaching the image from google.

Day One - Gratitude IS AN Attitude - at least I need to think of it that way. All too often I find myself in a state of mind where I feel absolutely overwhelmed by LIFE (an believe me my life is really not that difficult) and I loose sight of all the things in life that I should be truly grateful for. My good health and the good health of my children and grandchildren is NUMBER #1. The fact that I have been able to live where I wanted to live for many years, and that I live in a home I own free and clear and save for property taxes no economic circumstance should take my home away from me. That I have a job it these turbulent times something to be very very grateful for indeed. Yes I have much to be grateful for, and I think all too frequently I don't acknowledge how very blessed I am. So today I am embracing my gratitude and thanking God for all the blessings in my life.

For my album I bought the Fancy Pants Golden Days collection and added in a bunch of stuff from my stash including (don't laugh) the SC PL kit from November 2013 named Cuppa. I'll share my day one page on the day one prompt thread.

My cover page: My Day 1: It took me a while and I have a feeling that every day will be like that until I get into a rhythm. The hardest part is getting the journaling down and that to me is the important part of this project. Not all pictures speak for themselves.

Glad you're joining us maribeth . Great reflection. Love your pages, scrapaddict702. I agree that the journaling is the important part. And some pages will be tougher than others.

Man, the last few hours have really tanked my day. I started off on the right foot by wanting to do well with this project, but my anxiety and stress has gotten the better of me since my husband got home from work. Then I come home after running errands to open an order I received earlier today (ironically supposed to be delivered to the PO to then come to me, but the courier misread it and delivered it to me instead, lol) and when I really needed something to go right, there was an item missing (and it was only 4 things) from my order.
Tomorrow is a new day, but I already know that music is going to end up on my thankful list one of these days. When I'm having a bad day with my anxiety, cranking up my music and tuning out my kids' bickering and the constant noise (sometimes just them being loud triggers a panic attack out of left field) in order to calm myself down. I think the worst part about tonight is that we have to clean and prep a bit before my MIL comes to watch the kids this weekend for our trip and I'm kind of having senioritis (vacationitis??? I need Doc McStuffin's help with the diagnosis here) where I'm checked out a bit and just want to fast forward to the weekend...all the work needed to get there is not something I'm exactly excited about, lol.

Today I went with the thankful attitude and wrote about how I'm thankful for my life...good and bad, easy and hard. I used a picture of myself. I'm going to choose DH for tomorrow.

I have to rethink my format. I was going to use a 4x6 mini album I have but am struggling because it is too small for photo and journaling. But it's so cute and perfect for this project..

Can you make a pocket behind each photo, journal on tags, & tuck the tag behind each photo? Or seal the top (I assume the page protectors have a top opening) and create an opening on the side so each page is interactive (make big tags that stick out the side and you can pull them out to read them in between the photos). Or you can do 2 pages per layout. Mine is 6x6 and each layout is 2 pages. 1 to highlight a primary photo and 1 for journaling and more photos if I choose to include additional ones. If you do that with a 4x6 album, you can put a photo on one side and embellish/journal on the opposite site. Or you can do something like I've seen Ali Edwards show. Make a 3x4 (plus the side needed for holes unless you want to make custom pockets) that goes in between the 4x6 pages and use that specifically for journaling each day.

I'm not really sure where I'm going to go with today's pages. I'm really struggling with ideas. My husband works tonight, so it's a day with just the kids and I. If I clean up my desk, I can use my room as my photo for today...I know my room will be a focus one day this month, I just figured it would happen while my Mom was visiting for 2 weeks because it will be harder to be crafty (I don't like sneaking off and making her feel ignored...other than to use my computer because it's in sight the doorway of my craft room so I don't feel closed off sitting here).

I decided to go with my room. Which means that instead of cleaning the rest of the house (who wants to do that, even if I prefer not to have the house look like it's falling apart before grandparents visit), I focused on my scrap room...which was long overdue for some TLC anyway. I did fake it a bit (took pictures of the cleaned up side, moved the clutter from the dirty side to the clean side, took pictures of that side, moved some of the clutter back) but I cleaned up a lot as I moved everything around, so even though there is still clutter back where it was, it looks about 75% better. My room hasn't looked this nice in months. Every time I go shopping and know I'm going to spend a lot (like the warehouse sale for American Crafts in Utah), I tell myself I'm going to clean before I go and I NEVER do. Part of my weekend away with hubs is shopping the Scrapbook Expo in Ontario on Saturday, so at least now I have a place to plunk down piles when we get home, provided I do a lot of shopping (no clue what to expect). I can't tell you how happy I am with it looking as nice as it does...I just really hope that I don't have to break my son's heart when he gets home from school. He thinks that clean desk means 'mommy made space to share' and he proceeds to clutter up the newly cleaned desk space, thus negating all of my work...when reality is that I'm overwhelmed with stuff everywhere and I need the clean space around me in order to feel at peace. Either way, I'll be making a mess at some point in the next few hours to put my page together. The aim is to stay caught up, can't fail on day two, lol. So today was kind of a two-fer. I get to focus on my space as today's 'thankful' and I get to enjoy it looking quite a bit tidier, too. Win/win!!

Sounds like a great thing to document too. The weekend will be easy since my husband and I will be in SoCal for a mini getaway. Monday will be all about my MIL. She has been a godsend to us as of late. She started coming out here to visit a couple of years ago and her first few trips were basically spent telling me to leave or take a nap or something and to leave the kids to her. She's going to watch the kids while we go to Cali for the expo on Saturday (initial plan was for me to attend the event solo and crop both days, but things changed when the NFL schedule came out) and then we're going to see the Panthers (our team and the closest they've ever been to us) play the Rams on Sunday. Other than being in the hospital having another baby, neither of us has been away from our kids overnight. We've taken 18-20 hour same day trips, but we've always been home before morning. I don't think I'll EVER be able to fully express how thankful I am for my MIL's help and willingness to come out here (not local) to help with the kids so my husband and I can have some time to ourselves. She comes out here a few weekends a year, won't let us pay for her transportation if she takes a bus or her gas if she drives, all so she can give us some time together. The best part is that before her visits, they really only had a close relationship with my Mom (not local, either). Now, both Grandmas are close to them. My MIL visiting, our weekend away and having my Mom in town for 2 weeks (first Thanksgiving I think I've spent with her since I was in the low single digits) is what made me really want to do this project as an album rather than just a status update on Facebook every day. A lot of the month will require no effort at all to find a prompt for. The stars aligned.

Sounds like you have a wonderful weekend ahead of you scrapaddict702 , and a great month of family togetherness. Can't wait to see your page about your scrap room. I dropped the little guy off at daycare. His mom will get him later when she gets home from her meeting. Picked up the photos I had ordered yesterday at WalMart, and printed a few more. Got home, added a pic to my day TWO page and then finished my day 3 page. It was a tough one, (will explain later) but I am really happy with it. Have a photo of the page and will post later when I post the prompt.

The prompt for Day 3 is up, listed in the op and detailed with example in its own thread.. .
You can make this one as heavy or as light as you like.
