I just treated myself to a new professional dress form. Ordered it at quilt festival last week and am spending the extra to have her padded out to my measurements. I've named her Hazel and she should arrive in 4-5 weeks. Can't wait to get back to sewing for myself. The man taking my measurements was Joe Vecchiarelli, owner of the company and a fit specialist on Dancing with the Stars. Does this make me somewhat famous? ![](http://stevengale.smugmug.com/Other/Peasmilies/i-Xj7gwRF/0/O/wink.gif) ![](http://stevengale.smugmug.com/Other/Peasmilies/i-v9P6jMF/0/O/laugh.gif)

Yes, I have purchased a few pairs of Alegria shoes for the winter on clearance. LOVE all of them!!!!! Alegria's are my favorite. This probably takes me to over 40 pairs now. Eeek! I really love those blue ones! (Do you ever have issues with them squeaking? I have that problem so badly with one pair.) Save

New leather boots. My calves are skinny enough now to fit into some long slim ones. I'm at the dentist right now, which always stressed me out, so if I do well here I'm going to go out and buy a new sweater afterwards ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) .

Oh no, that's so frustrating! But at least you know it is safely in the house Which model is it?
I splurged on a timeshare at the beach to celebrate my 60th birthday. Now it isn't until next May, but my friend let me use her week so I had to pay her fee and a small guest fee. When we checked for next May there was basically only one resort available. I invited my mom down too. This is a milestone birthday so to speak but I dislike parties. My idea of a great birthday is to hang out with my loved ones at the beach and have a wonderful seafood dinner someplace. That sounds like bliss. A stonewashed AL Sport.

I should probably test my new fountain pen....just to see if everything is in working order.... That would be okay, wouldn't it?

They're having a huge sale right now if you purchase direct from them.
To stop the squeaking....put a fabric softener sheet under the insole. It works! If they start squeaking again change it out. I have one pair that seems every time the weather changes I need to do that. I've even changed out the insoles. It is that specific shoe.
Here's the link for the sale. I occasionally purchase new on ebay too. If someone knows of a better deal please let us know.linkhttp://www.alegriashoeshop.com/Alegria-Shoes-On-Sale-s/91.htm

I need to check out those coffee pods Hopefully they have them in the UK. I'm frowned upon here with my love of flavoured coffee, no-one else I know likes it. Nespresso only bring out their flavoured ones in weeks before Christmas and I've been stalking the shop waiting for this years ones. Last year when I went in they were having a quiet day and the guy who was serving asked me if I wanted to try the new flavour before buying so I said yes (even though I was always going to buy them) then he took me to the back coffee shop part and he asked the barista to make me one of each! He made me 3 shots of espresso and then offered me several of their chocolates to try, I felt bad just taking a sip of each and leaving so I drank all 3...lol. I was a little jittery by the time I left after drinking 3 espressos in about 15 minutes. I was disappointed this year I had a lady serving me and she just said 'will that be all?" no offers of free coffee this time. 3 espressos at one time! For free! Regular shopping would have to pale in comparison. I love flavored coffee, too. I bought some Vera Bradley bags last week when we had a thread about them being on sale. Everything I got was already on clearance and then it was 40% off of that, plus a free bag, plus free shipping. I got 2 small duffle bags, one in an orange print and one in a blue/aqua print - both prints make me happy, a weekender bag that matches the blue/aqua duffle, and an cross-shoulder bag that matches the orange duffle. I got a wristlet bag that is PERFECT for holding my phone and money when I don't want to carry anything bigger. Here's the orange print ... ![](http://verabradley.scene7.com/is/image/VeraBradley/full_379) and the blue. ![](http://verabradley.scene7.com/is/image/VeraBradley/full_539) And this is my new wristlet. ![](http://verabradley.scene7.com/is/image/VeraBradley/15706375?hei=220&wid=220&op_sharpen=1)

I wasn't sure about what pumpkin ale wax cubes would smell like, but I took a chance, and boy do I love them! Very much a Fall scent, but just a little bit different than the usual pumpkin, apple, bakery, and spice scents. Pumpkin ale. Gotta remember that too! Two things to remember. Eek!

I've done a little shopping lately. My biggest splurge was this sweater from J Jill: Sweater I liked it so much that I ordered it in pink also - but 2 sizes smaller, because it is really roomy. A new 36x24 self-healing mat - really wishing I'd gone one size bigger. A drill - A cordless drill. ExH took the cordless drill then BORROWED the corded drill. I finally decided to "treat" myself with a better cordless drill than the one he took. lol Two serious flashlights and a set of 4 battery operated lanterns. An 8 hour power outage convinced me I wasn't prepared. I know these don't seem like splurges, but nothing makes me giddier than a powerful flashlight. Oh - and THIS under the seat bag. I am trying to be very efficient in packing for my vacation next summer, so I'm trying to get the right travel accessories in time to try them out. I took this one on a flight this weekend and loved it. One more - a t-shirt that says, "I prefer my puns intended." I couldn't resist.

Bought a new wax cube warmer at Wal-Mart. I didn't need another, but it was a fall themed warmer with Autumn leaves and gold accents. It makes me smile when I look at it and the pumpkin ale wax cubes make my kitchen smell great. BTW, love those earrings! I wasn't sure about what pumpkin ale wax cubes would smell like, but I took a chance, and boy do I love them! Very much a Fall scent, but just a little bit different than the usual pumpkin, apple, bakery, and spice scents. I thought the same, but did the sniff test and figured for what, $2?, I'd go for it!! Glad you like it.

They are called the Kyra but are hard to find. Do a google search. If they are available in your size, you can probably get them at a great price like I did. Amazon has them too. And they do not squeak. Out of my 40+ pairs, only two squeak. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg)

I bought a pair of Dearfoam slippers for myself at Burlington for $7.99. Ooh, you got a better deal than I did! I bought myself a new pair of Dearfoams at Tuesday Morning for $9.99 that I'll get from St. Nicholas on Dec. 6th. I can't believe how fast they wear out but they're SO nice when they're new and cushy! (And since I was there, I picked up some MAMBI Cards in an Instant paper pads for $2.99, some letter sized printed cardstock packs for $2.99 that will also be used for cards and a couple packs of vacation stickers for .49 each!) ETA: I stopped at TM on the way home from getting my hair cut, which was also a much needed treat. I hit the wall with my too-long-and-in-my-eyes hair about a month ago and haven't had time to get it cut until now.

I don't have a Sephora near me but I was near one a few weeks ago a got some expensive foundation and powder by Makeup Forever and I HATE it! It was my first Sephora experience and will be my last because the lady who did help me (props for actually asking if I need help since I never get helped at Ulta when I do ask) wasn't helpful. I asked "what do you recommend for applying the foundation?" Her: "I don't know, whatever you want I guess to use" that was just the start... Ugh. That's disappointing. I love the Sephora in NYC. Two floors and lots of helpful salespeople. I just bought some Kat VonD Everlasting lip color in a tube there and am loving the shade. Also a new color of NARS blush (they discontinued my previous shade). That's sad to hear. I love our Sephora and everyone is always so helpful. One young man who works there always wears the most fabulous makeup and always remembers me. (I a little jealous that this guy looks so great in makeup). I would definitely go back and return the makeup you don't like. They will take it back no questions asked. I would also talk to the manager and have someone else help you. That lady should NOT be working there. And I have been to the NYC Sephora and it is to die for!

Then I want to Nespresso and bought 3 sleeves of their limited edition coffee pods that they only bring out at this time of the year. This year's flavours are based on Austrian desserts and they are: Apfelstrudel, Sachertorte and Linzer Torte. I'm off to taste those this morning!
