You wouldn't believe how much business we get by just giving good customer service. Customer service seems to be a dying art anymore. Some people are successful despite themselves. I would absolutely believe it! When I get good customer service I'm often so surprised that I make a point to come back even if it's more expensive.

I hope that wasn't your favorite seafood place. I definitely would not be going back. With all of the FB likes you got, it must be SOP for them.

The manager's attitude makes me wonder if he is sleeping with the waitress. No manager worth his salt would ignore that type of complaint.

I have no problem with the rudeness being brought to the attention of the manager. My comment about getting the waitress fired was directed more at the posters who were suggesting that should be the end goal.

Wow! Crazy.
I would call the corporate office and file a formal complaint. Not only did the waitress do wrong, but the manager was, IMHO, worse.
Sorry for the hijack, but do restaurants read their online reviews still? At one point I think they mattered, now, not so much. To many people "fixing" the reviews online.

Maybe they are related to the Amy's Bakery people.
I'd probably just move on because seems like nothing will be done but I would make others aware to not eat there when the topic comes up.

Wow. That is truly horrible service and the fact that the owner doesn't really care just speaks volumes.

Good for you! They should have been nicer to you.
Last year we ate at a restaurant and I found the tip of a glove in my salad! I told the waiter and he didn't even apologize, he just said "oh". They didn't even take the salad off our order even though we couldn't eat the rest. My husband is so bad at confrontations, so he didn't say a word. I was too mad! But stupid me, I didn't even email the place to complain. We were on vacation and still had 3 weeks left. By the time I got home and had email again, school was starting and I forgot.
This year we went to the same chain, different location. They made a mistake with our order and the waitress was so nice and apologized 3 times! I don't mind mistakes, just acknowledge them and apologize.
So I am happy to hear that you followed up! I love what you did!

You know...if you ever feel the need to share the name of said restaurant, we PROMISE not to lambast them. Just curious so none of us wander in there accidentally. Incidentally, btw, I was at PF Chang's last weekend having lunch with DD. My Pepper Steak had a couple of nasty gristly pieces of meat in it that I couldn't eat so I kinda just set them on the edge of my plate. My waitress noticed and asked if everything was alright, I said, "Yeah, it's great!" Looked down at my plate and said, "really? 'Cause I'd be happy to something about that if you'd like." I told her no, it was fine, but then a few minutes later the manager come over too. He apologized and took my lunch off the ticket! I didn't even ask him to or complain. PG Chang's has earned my business for life! They are wonderful!!

Well, the manager's attitude tells you why you got that attitude and poor service from the waitress. if the manager doesn't care, neither will the staff.

Maybe Jeff does have crabs of a different kind making him forget that customer service is a good thing.

Now that it's been named, I wonder how long it takes before this thread shows up at the top of google results for the restaurant...

I read your updates and just skipped to end - so this has probably already been mentioned a few times, but don't forget to leave reviews on Yelp and Urban Spoon.

So DH called today and spoke with the manager/owner. He explained what happened and he was told "Sorry". That's it. THAT'S IT. Just a lame "sorry". I'm so super PEA LIVID. So, I went on their FB page and posted a review. It's since been deleted. I also went onto the FB group for our county (over 7,000 members) and posted my experience there. Almost 50 people have "liked" or commented on it and one person tagged the restaurant so I'm sure they will see that too. I also sent their FB page a message saying that I was disappointed that they did not seem to care and that I would be sure to share my experience. The FB message is showing as "read". I went on TripAdvisor and Yelp and posted there as well. The restaurant hasn't said one word to me at all. Further proves that "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned". LOL You did the right thing. You gave that business every opportunity to make it right. They didn't. Your review is an honest account of your experience. A really, really crappy experience.

She said in her update she did, but I don't see anything like this on their Yelp reviews. I was going to share this info with my Facebook friends because I don't live far from there.

I did learn when I was a new Yelp'er that when you are new (only 1 or just a few reviews) that they won't show your reviews in the main review section. I had to review a few different places before all my posts moved 'up.' (I can't think of what they call these 2 different kinds of reviews and I'm too lazy to go get my phone and check. ) Maybe that's why her review isn't showing up?

Maybe, but I also don't see her review on TripAdvisor either. Businesses can't delete those, can they? This guy seems like a jackass, his response to one of the other negative Yelp reviews is pretty shitty as well.

So you posted a negative review on Facebook and it was removed? Post a review on Yelp instead. Personally, I never look for reviews on Facebook, I always check Yelp. Yelp doesn't remove reviews just because business owners don't like them.

Since I've never posted on Yelp or Trip Advisor..I think I did it right. The only thing I could post on Yelp was a "tip"? And TripAdvisor said it could take up to 48 hrs to post. I didn't think about Urban Spoon. I'll hit that one tomorrow!!

Your first few Yelp reviews go to the bottom under a special tab marked "Not recommended" because Yelp can't recommend you as a reviewer. wierd but hopefully helpful. Your review is there but people are going to have to look for it. Maybe write some good recommendations on other places you use to up your reliability rating? www.yelp.com/fa [HASH]recommended_reviews

Definitely post a few more reviews (I think I had to get to 5 - hard to remember) and then your review should show.
