You don't even qualify as a spokesperson for humanity, and you certainly don't qualify as a spokesperson for a supposedly perfect and loving being. You've consistently shown yourself to be completely lacking in any of the qualities that New Testament Christianity is supposed to be about - love, forgiveness, compassion, decency and not being a judgmental asshole. You fail at every level. You claim to be Christian because why? You've read the Bible and taken a bunch of thousands of year old fairy tales out of context? Well, guess what? Christianity is supposed to be about love. I think there's a lot of stuff in your trusty Bible about not judging others, but you seem not to have read any of those parts. Love isn't going along with things that are wrong. Stating what the Bible says isn't judging others. It's simply stating what it says. Or do you pick and choose which abominations should be legislated? And there are more than just shrimp and scallops in those laws. I actually started typing out a list this morning but then got tired. lol. But there's the one about touching the skins of forbidden animals. Such as pigskin. Never mind actually eating that pig. And then the one about tattoos. Or the one about how long a woman has to wait after childbirth before she can go to her place of worship. Plus a bunch of others than people conveniently overlook. Oh, and never mind the fact that the prohibition of "men lying with men as with a woman" was in response to the pagan temples that brought in young boys for the men. The Jewish people, and later the followers of Jesus, were speaking directly against that particular pagan practice. This has been affirmed by committees of bible scholars who study and do the scholarly translations that we read. Then there's that pesky thing that Jesus said about divorce. But of course that's different I guess, since we'll allow even our president to be divorced.  |

Well, the Bible says you should not commit adultery either. Actually God felt so strongly about that one, he actually included it in the Ten Commandments. Yet you give Trump a pass on that one, therefore I cannot even take you seriously since your hypocrisy is so staggering.

I am a Christian and I don't get offended over Happy Holidays. It encompasses all those celebrating the various holidays during this season. There are a lot!
I do work at a Christian store and we say Merry Christmas. I had a customer state that she was so happy we could say it. I smiled. I get why people get upset over Happy Holidays, but then again I don't.

Yes, that's exactly what a lot of people are trying to do, go about their normal daily living. Which could be why some people just say a generic "happy holidays" when they're talking to someone they don't know. People aren't mind readers and unless I know someone personally, or unless the person is wearing a star of David or a cross, I probably have no idea what they celebrate. Or if they celebrate anything. This really is just another example of a certain group of Christians trying to impose their religious beliefs on our whole society. then they should let others live their life to - as Christians. but, they don't really want to do that. They want the Christians to just go away... that's their goal - but it won't happen.

I think I just got dumber by reading them. Wow is all I can say to describe them. Someone saying they would walk out without buying if the cashier didn't say Merry Christmas. Give me a break. How is that christian? ETA: someone also said if Hillary won (though of course they called her something else) that Christmas would have been history. Seriously? Isn't she Christian? Do these poeple have any idea how stupid they sound? Personally I say Happy Holidays. I would hope people would take it as the good meaning it has, just like when someone says Merry Christmas I take it that they are being kind and sending me good wishes. People just need something to be upset about. I did get a good laugh about them saying Bass Pro is gun friendly. Yeah, nothing puts the Christ in Christmas like weapons to kill.  the problem isn't that some won't say Christmas, it's that they don't want anyone else to say it either...
the same with the tree, the cross and any mention of God or Christ. They don't believe in Him and they don't want anyone else to either...
holiday is holyday... if someone says 'happy holiday', just say back to them 'happy holyday to you also' !

lauren.. if you read a good history of the reformation, the christians did everything that some radial people who claim islam (I would not called isis muslims).. and the christians did worse things to fellow christians. they murdered people over the lords prayer, over the right to read the bible.. over lots of small stuff.
