LisaDV , your ribbon problem sounds like something I would do. What kind of layouts are you doing for swap? When you get going on your pillow, please post photos. I'd love to see. We went to see Hidden Figures today. Wow, it was really good. Those were brilliant women who worked for NASA. It's the best movie we have seen for a long time. I have posted another layout in the gallery. I haven't finished my 2 pager yet, but probably on Monday. So Many Books So Little Time by Nylene Budge, on Flickr I hope you all have a great weekend. We had no snow today which is very nice. We have about 14 inches in our front yard.

nylene - terrific page. To me the colored stripped paper mimics the look of book on a shelf. Don't know if that was intentional but It really grabbed me right away. I want to see that film. Glad you gave it thumbs up. I don't go to the theaters, but will watch it when it is released on Direct TV for rent. I made two more pages so far this weekend, I am thoroughly enjoying my scrap time right now. Have a wonderful evening everyone.

Wonderful page, nylene. I will stop in the Gallery in a bit and look at it in more detail. Your Silhouette titles make me think I need one of those. But then I think how little I use each individual tool in this room (I like to spread the love around) and think maybe the expense would not be warranted for me. Good to see you crafting again, maribeth. I knew that mojo would come back! And LisaDV, I would definitely count the 48 pages you finished. Even if they are all the same design, you did the work to create them all. Do you keep 2 and send the others away? Then get 46 pages from different designers to pop photos on to? That is quite a project! Glad to hear you are feeling well scrapincin and to see you are crafting as well. No wonder that page was featured on their website. It is very classy looking, starting with the artistic photograph. We have been busy here this weekend. Yesterday I cleaned house. Last night we went out for dh's bd. Today, dd and I put Christmas away. Then with the enthusiastic help of dgs, we vacuumed the living room and moved the furniture back into place. Meanwhile, I have been helping one of my ds's to polish up his resume: he has an opportunity for a promotion, but needed to hand in a curriculum vitae. He has been managing a construction site, but now the project is winding down. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Good Sunday Morning, up at 1AM MST watching the final match of the Australian Open Federer vs Nadal. Both gentlemen are in my favorites category. So far a good match with neither a clear winner, of course it is Tennis it can change in a moment. Today's page is on I finished up Yesterday. Very smile as this one is meant to just let the photos speak for themselves. These photos were taken by my son Keith. He works on a crew that hauls mobile homes so he has been seeing a lot of country lately. KEITHS SUNRISE DEC 2016 by Maribeth and Jim Robison, on Flickr Enjoy your day!

Wow, we're on page 5!!!! I have been missing some of the fun. Yesterday my dh and I celebrated our 11th anniversary so we made a weekend of it. We had a great time reminiscing and celebrating. I wrote a blog post about it, too. 11 Yrs and CountingPlus, this upcoming weekend, we are going on another honeymoon and I am so excited. Oh, I can't wait to get away and relax at one of our favorite hotels and areas here in So Cal. I hope to also get some good pictures so I can scrap later. (Spoken like a true scrapbooker!!! LOL!) I have so much to catch up on here so I will be back later to chat more.

scrapincin - the stars and the spooky embellies really fit with your title "Fright Night", it immediate gives that scary Halloween vibe even though Bobby's costume is a bit more friendly looking. Wonderful. Any hey don't worry about it being late I scrapped a page yesterday of photos for our 2009 trip to South Dakota. I am making a effort to get all the bits a pieces I have into scrapbooks this year.

Here is my page for today. Super simply only 1 embellishment. Sometimes I just want the photos to speak for themselves.

I can't believe we are on page 5! We are a chatty bunch and a scrappy bunch. The best of both worlds. I love the above posted layouts. I have left love in the gallery and on kellyr21's blog. Keep those wonderful layouts coming. I love seeing the mojo returning!

I got scrappy this morning, and ended up with 5 new pages. Here is the last one, for which I played with my newest kit from Scrapbooking Fanatics. My dgd is really style conscious, and at not quite 11 years old she is fixing her own mini braids, choosing her own jewellery and shoes, and looking really GOOD! I have a photo of the whole effect, but I think I will need to print it at 5x7 to balance the photos on this page. The elements of STYLE by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Love your sparkly frosty page, maribeth and your spooky LO, scrapincin.

Hi all my non-Pokey pals! I love coming to the thread and seeing layouts all down the page. Later tonight I will close this 5 page thread and start a new one. maribeth , I love those layouts. Beautiful design! What pretty girls. Left you some love. Has your snow melted off, or are you still snowy? grammadee , that explanation about her being fashion conscious made me remember a funny about my oldest. I posted it on your gallery. Great page. scrapincin , I got an instant message from a friend on Scrapbook.com and when I clicked on it this morning, Miss Maggie and your layout was on the 1st page with the Featured layouts! I tried to take a screenshot, but failed. It will pop up again and again over time. I'm glad you are still feeling well. How's your weather? We are getting sunshine, but it's still too cold to melt the snow. kellyr21 , I'm jealous that you guys are getting away on a 2nd honeymoon. I hope you have a wonderful time together. LisaDV , I admire you for all the swaps you do. I don't know how you keep up with it. But now we want to see lots and lots of layouts from your received swaps! justjac , how is teaching going? Is it still snowy and slick? Do you have any plans in the works for another play? I need to run. I'm tending Alex this afternoon. I need to Alex-proof my house!(only so many toys out...not the whole bunch!)

Ladies, you have been very productive this month, not pokey at all! I finished a couple of cards Saturday, got another one half done, and have one more to go. nylene school is going quite well. I have a good core group of around 7. The other 10 I keep having to replace because they decide not to continue attending. I had a contrast MRI done on my hip in the "big city" yesterday morning. Since it is a 2 1/2 hour drive DH and I went up on Sunday and stayed over. We headed home Monday afternoon and missed all the bad weather! I guess visibility was pretty bad Monday morning at home, but not where we were. There are only community theatre plays once or twice a year in our area, so I probably won't have a chance to do any acting until Fall. If I decide to audition. With 9 hours of rehearsal a week, it takes up a lot of time. I am starting Layout a Day tomorrow, so February will be a more productive month for me than January. I will share my progress. Have a great day, everybody.

nylene, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the "so many books so little time". That title work is amazing. The colors are fabulous. It may also have something to do with we're readers in this house. I found 3 books for dd plus Oliver Twist, which I want her to read for school on Monday at the library. By the evening she had finished one, and was 1/2 way through the other. DS does the same thing. We'll often have 3-4 books going at a time and love to find ones to read together as a family in the evening instead of TV. I thought of you this morning as I went to get the silhouette weekly freebie and checked their weekly/daily deals. They had your bridge from your San Fran page and just thinking about your layout made me smile again. maribeth, gorgeous photos your son took. You displayed them brilliantly! Your pages of your dgd's are too adorable. I love how you sprinkled your enamel dots diagonally on the pages. Your snowy trees reminds me how upset I was with myself yesterday for not going out and taking the same photos before the scene changed. Something about fresh fallen snow covering the trees and ground that is just so majestic. Plus a 10 minutes window where the sun actually was streaming through the clouds lighting one section of woods. and I missed it. scrapincin, that is a fun halloween layout. I really like all the embellishments. I hope you are feeling better. kellyr21, Happy anniversary!!! A second honeymoon sounds so romantic. I'm sure you will get tons of scrap worthy photos. grammadee, your dgd is so cute with her mini-braid. I agree a 5x7 will be a perfect to balance for your second page. For my double page swap, it was 12 double pages with the theme Family. There are a total of 12 participants in the group. So I will get back 11 other double pages which will hopefully let us highlight our year in those pages. It's my first time doing this swap, but they do it each year. justjac, So how is your hip? Improved? or do they not share the results right away? I'm looking forward to seeing your LOAD pages. Well, the end of January is upon us. It looks like everyone has done some creating. Hopefully, this year will be extra creative for us all. It's already 4pm here. DD is having a rough day and we have 2 subjects that we do together that haven't completed yet. I'll probably hold off until tomorrow on them, but I hate to do it. Of course, that means I will be able to clean up my craft desk from the mess that I've made. So holding off it is. Then I can start February with a fresh and clean slate.
