Now from Sean Spicer.... "(1/4) Reports concerning potentially politically motivated investigations immediately ahead of the 2016 election are very troubling." "(2/4) President Trump is requesting that as part of their investigation into Russian activity, the congressional intelligence committees" "(3/4) exercise their oversight authority to determine whether executive branch investigative powers were abused in 2016." "(4/4) Neither the White House nor the President will comment further until such oversight is conducted." Of course they are not going to comment. This is just a ploy to move the faithful away from the real story of trump's connections to Russia. Oh FFS. "Politically motivated investigations?" Like Comey deciding to publicly announce a re-investigation of emails shortly before the election? The difference is that investigations into Trump campaign were deliberately kept secret to avoid any impact on the election.

Ho. Lee. Crap. Anyone see that stuff that Roger Stone (Trump advisor) was tweeting last night? The crazy runs deep in this administration. Article (Yeah, it's HuffPo, but the tweets are all right there on Stone's account for anyone to see.)

I read Roger Stone's tweet last night.
What the Republicans are doing is circling the wagons to protect the nut case in the White House for the simple reason "because we won".

Sadly, I fear a surge of "Lock him up!" sentiment now.
And it will be referring to Barack Obama.

I was stunned to read Stone's tweets. So unprofessional and unhinged. And these are the people who are going to "make America great again?"
They are doing everything in their power to destroy the things Americans hold dear - equality, freedom, and the ability to breathe fresh air and drink clean water. All in the name of whatever Trump stands for.
It's only going to get worse as more information comes out. It was a drip a few weeks ago - one little piece of info on a weekly basis. Then a few more drips, and now it seems to be turning into a stream.
The whole idea of "let's elect a guy who has never been a politician, it will be great!" seemed crazy to me. I don't want a guy in this position learning on the job. But this guy is actually worse than that - because he's not learning on the job. He does a stupid, crazy thing, someone informs him that he actually can't do that because laws and constitution, etc. - and he goes on to do the next stupid, crazy thing. Repeat ad nauseum.
Does he not have any advisers who can tell him beforehand that "hey, the president doesn't have those powers" or "that's not going to be constitutional" so he doesn't have to make the mistake? Is it that he won't listen to them, they aren't telling him, or he just doesn't understand?

I thought, from years back, the whole learning on the jobs thing (and accompanying Carte Blanche) was unique to my country. Not any more! And I am not sure if I am glad or mad. Obviously I am mad that standards are so low, no matter where they are being applied. On a bad day, I wonder if I can stoop low enough to be glad that the people I am responsible for "teaching" are now "normal" by first world standards a la the greatest first world country there is...

In my profession, we're expected to understand the rules of the job and to behave professionally from day 1. If I had done something I couldn't do, like violating FERPA, or tweeted out even one of the things these guys have tweeted out, I would have lost my job long since. Learning the job is only OK if you're the POTUS or one of his advisors, apparently. ETA: And I'd like to know, when do these guys get observed and evaluated? And can we slap a letter grade on the side of the White House based on their performance, they way they do with schools in Texas? I mean, there has to be some accountability. We're paying their salaries after all!

The Russians (not to mention the rest of the world) must be having a big ol’ laugh. Our country is like a bad comedy with a president who’s jumped the shark two seasons ago. If he has evidence of wiretapping, then for heaven’s sake, just reveal it. His insatiable appetite for enemies is getting old and tiresome. I bet he’s pissed that furious bidding for the Obamas’ books resulted in a sixty-five-million-dollar deal. Between that and Sessions’ recusal, his orange being must have turned red.

Tweet from Phillip Rucker of the Washington Post...
"Trump is angry in Florida. I’m told he fumed to friends at golf course yesterday about Obama, insisting he’s right about wiretap."
Ah if this is true then the real reason for trump's rants from yesterday may be because President Obama's popularity just before and since he left office is getting to tiny hands.
Add to that it seems, in spite of some saying trump gave a good speech Tuesday, he didn't get a bump in the polls and less people watched his speech then they did President Obama's speech in Congress. Can't remember if it was his last speech or his speech right after he was reelected in 2012.

Hahaha. It's Potentiality vs Actuality. Let me add to the above quote by Sarah Huckabee Sanders:
Sanders presented no evidence of any improper actions by the Obama administration, and she repeated Trump’s explosive Saturday tweets accusing Obama of spying on him and his team. Pressed repeatedly by host Martha Raddatz, Sanders said Trump was merely wondering about illegal wiretapping — despite Trump declaring it as fact just a day earlier.
“I think he is going off of information that he’s seeing that has led him to believe this is a very real potential,” she said, adding, “He’s talking about: ‘Could this have happened?’”
Well, I believe Martians landed in America two days ago and I dare anyone to disagree with me!

linkAbout yesterday's pro-trump rallies..... "Thank you for the great rallies all across the country. Tremendous support. Make America Great Again." Other than the mess in Berkeley not much was said about those great rallies. I did find some pictures showing a few hundred or less at a couple of locations. I suspect that the rallies that showed tremendous support consisted of a couple hundred here and there.

I had forgotten Stephen King had some good tweets about trump's claim he was bugged.....
"Not only did Obama tap Trump's phones, he stole the strawberry ice cream out of the mess locker."
"Obama tapped Trump's phones IN PERSON! Went in wearing a Con Ed coverall. Michelle stood guard while O spliced the lines. SAD!"
"Trump should know OBAMA NEVER LEFT THE WHITE HOUSE! He's in the closet! HE HAS SCISSORS!"
I think this last one was my favorite.

Tweet from Maggie Haberman of NY Times....
"Trump was frustrated by the Sunday shows today/felt people didn't defend him strongly enough on his Obama claim, per ppl close to him."
If true I suspect we are going to hear all about it. And if this is true there is something wrong with him.

Republican talking head was just on CNN arguing that sessions didn't lie because "he had no reason to."
Then he argued that pelosi sending a tweet is exactly like being under oath in a confirmation hearing to be confirmed to a cabinet position. Exactly the same!
Seriously, do these guys ever wake up and think "today I'm going to argue that something totally ridiculous is actually true and reasonable"?

Gee I thought he wasn't going to tweet today....
"'President Trump Congratulates Exxon Mobil for Job-Creating Investment Program' whitehouse.gov/the-press-"
"Buy American & hire American are the principals at the core of my agenda, which is: JOBS, JOBS, JOBS! Thank you @"
"45,000 construction & manufacturing jobs in the U.S. Gulf Coast region. $20 billion investment. We are already winning again, America!"
Exxon thinking there is all this oil coming down the pike and are investing in Louisiana and Texas. Oil that will be obtained by trashing the country.
Two things, the last time the US ramped up oil production the Saudi's effectively shut it down. There is no reason to believe the Saudi's won't do it again.
The current Secretary of State was the CEO of Exxon. Exxon has invested heavily in the Russian oil fields and at the present time they can't get a return on their investment because of US sanctions.
It is possible these jobs could be short lived and a high price will have been paid. I guess time will tell.

It's nice to see that his people will eventually draw a line in the sand (even if it's just to save themselves from being named in a libel suit). Supporting what could be tantamount to libel is reckless and insane. Especially when, if push comes to shove, Trump will shove every last one of them under the bus first before taking responsibility for his own words and deeds. SaveSave

And he's off......
"122 vicious prisoners, released by the Obama Administration from Gitmo, have returned to the battlefield. Just another terrible decision!"
"Our wonderful new Healthcare Bill is now out for review and negotiation. ObamaCare is a complete and total disaster - is imploding fast!"
"For eight years Russia "ran over" President Obama, got stronger and stronger, picked-off Crimea and added missiles. Weak! @foxandfriends"
"Don't worry, getting rid of state lines, which will promote competition, will be in phase 2 & 3 of healthcare rollout. @foxandfriends"
"I am working on a new system where there will be competition in the Drug Industry. Pricing for the American people will come way down!"
"Don't let the FAKE NEWS tell you that there is big infighting in the Trump Admin. We are getting along great, and getting major things done!"
Talk about all over the place.

He's very reactive and stream of consciousness going off on crazy rabbit trails.
I swear, even hitting yoga twice a week is not putting a dent in the stress this administration is generating. I guess that would make me a special snowflake, you know, concerned for my fellow man and our planet. Crazy stuff like that.
