I've only seen a little bit of his wonderful new health care plan. But what I have seen is not good.
People will lose their insurance. Premiums will go up. And that includes premiums from insurance purchased across state lines.
Oh and even though I 'm lucky enough that I have not had any serious illnesses I get to pay more because of the simple fact I'm old.

One of my favorite actors Mark Ruffalo's tweet about tiny hands.....
"Donald Trump spends 31 percent of time on vacation, plays golf 8 times in 6 weeks—on taxpayer dime #Tcot"
Can't argue with that.

From Charlie White the skater.....
"Everyday we open up the news to find our President has lied on twitter while ignoring the actual issues America is facing.
Unbelievable."
Boy is he right.

But this tweet....
"GOP Rep. Chaffetz: Americans may need to choose between "new iphone... they just love" and investing in health care"
Got this response...
"1.5 bottles of insulin costs about the same amount as a new iPhone. I need a bottle every 3 weeks to stay alive."
This is way I see the Republicans agenda as " mean spirited that benefits the few at the expense of the many."

Boy is he right. ^^^ this comment reminds me... NPR Marketplace Money Report is doing a new segment now; I heard the first one last night. The working title is: "Squirrel!" due to Trump's tendencies to tweet about things that distract the public from the other issues / things going on. It covers some of the other stuff going on (or not going on) in the government, while he's tweeting about meaningless crap. Last night's segment had to do with the fact that out of >1000 political appointments total in the administration, to date he's only appointed something like 30-35 people to fill them. Supposedly he's purposely leaving some of them empty, but that's a HECK of a lot of openings; apparently there's a lack of qualified yes-men Republicans to choose from... ya' think?!?

Just an observation from me. I would think filling these appointments would fall under "getting major things done" that President tiny hands tweeted about this morning. But I guess not. Rachel Maddow has said several times don't listen to the noise but pay attention to what they are doing.

Ho. Lee. Crap. Anyone see that stuff that Roger Stone (Trump advisor) was tweeting last night? The crazy runs deep in this administration. Article (Yeah, it's HuffPo, but the tweets are all right there on Stone's account for anyone to see.) Wow. That's all I can say

I saw a blurb where trump is threatening those in the Republican Party about his plan. Something about a bloodbath if they don't fall in line.... That being the case I wonder if this is an innocent tweet. "I feel sure that my friend @randpaul will come along with the new and great health care program because he knows Obamacare is a disaster!"

Apologies for not quoting or acknowledging the poster (jumpy iPad) but the image a few posts back is so scarily apt it will stay with me for ages:
One of the most powerful people in the world spends his time "tweeting lies at the TV". Gulp.

I read that article too, and totally came away with the message that he is threatening them! He's saying that there will be money thrown into other candidates to replace them if they don't get on board with him. And then I realized something-- THAT is what he means by "unifying". It's not that he's trying to unify all the voters, he's trying to only have people who are going to agree with him anywhere in government. Politicians. It makes sense. He just said a week or so ago that he's for a one party system that Democrat party is failing and diminishing.

From Mark Murray NBC News ........
"Spicer: How many people are going be covered -- that's not the question that should be asked
What kind of care they get is what matters"
Well darn. It will appear the Republicans don't care if you can afford health care. I guess it's something that if you can afford the coverage it's nice to know the Republicans are concerned about what kind of care you get.

Notice how many times he says "Period." after each claim, then watch all the way to the end to see his next lie. He also named it the "AFFORDABLE Care Act and said we'd see an average savings of $2500.

He thought prices wouldn't go up. Now you are ok with prices going up because a republican is in power? THIS IS NOT ABOUT OBAMA! This is about Trump, how much he criticized Obama, how much republicans criticized the Affordable Care Act and how they wanted it gone and now what they have IS NO BETTER AND PROBABLY WORSE!

Actually Gia, everything you say leads me to believe you are ok with prices going up because a republican is in power. You are constantly referring back to Obama to excuse Trump's poor behaviour.
This is not about Obama. For 8 years republicans have been bitching about the Affordable Care Act. They have been hypercritical. Now they seem to have nothing reasonable to replace it with. Yeah, Obama was wrong. Obama told a lie. gasp!!!! I believe that Obama thought that prices were not going to go up and that people were going to keep their insurance. I think he really believed that, believed that he and his people had crafted something that would help the American people. He tried very hard to do so. And now YOU are comparing Trump with Obama. This is not about Obama. This is about Trump and his lies and you would think that after all of those years criticizing Obama, that you would hold Trump to a higher standard. But no. All you can say is .....bbb but, but but Obama lied too!

However, I think he u underestimated the insurance companies. Imo, they have taken advantage of people's dislike of Obama. Prices go up? People automatically blame Obama instead of looking at the insurance company. Unless the government puts restrictions on what the companies can charge, or go to a single payer system, I don't see prices going down.

Your little deflection side show STILL DOES NOT negate that the trump and republicans in congress are big fat liars. They stated, CLEARLY that this was going to be better, cover pretty much everyone, and be cheaper.

This is about Trump PROMISING and CAMPAIGNING that he had a plan in place for Heath care. "For EVERYONE" "More affordable than ACA." Now, they have and are scrambling for an ACTUAL plan because he NEVER HAD ONE TO BEGIN WITH. Then he stAtes that "Heath care is very complicated...who knew?" Now it's "your health care will cost you as much a month as your iPhone" and now " not everyone will get it." It's about TRUMP AND HIS IDIOCY AND HIS INCOMPETENCE.

Sick people cost money and that is a simple fact. In theory healthy premiums will help offset the sick premiums. Elimates high increases, keep premiums flat, and in some cases the premiums go down. And it actually does work that way.
What was underestimated was the number of sick people who were now able and did by insurance and the number of healthy people who think they can get by without any insurance and so didn't buy the insurance.
Based on how the ACA was set up I think they planned on a lot of sick people affecting a lot of people's premiums because the government was paying the insurance companies involved the exchanges money to help offset the higher amounts in claims they would be paying out and to help keep premiums lower. This was only going to be temporary until the market sorted itself out. I mean you can't tell the insurance companies they have to insure everybody, they can no longer cap payouts in serious illnesses, and they can't sell "junk" policies without some assistance.
Rubio kept talking about how he (Republicans) was defunding the ACA and I thought he was talking about Medicaid. He was talking about the payments the government was paying to the insurance companies. In other words the Republicans wanted the premiums to go up and the ACA to fail. Wasn't that nice of them.
In any case, what no one or very view realized was just how many sick people wanted health care insurance. And how many healthy people didn't.
The other thing people seem to have forgetten was the premiums were going up before the ACA even started. And had been for sometime. And that was before being required to insure all those sick people who couldn't get insurance before the ACA took affect.
Now the Republicans are in charge and coming up with this grand plan. But here is the problem. How insurance companies determine premiums is not going to change. That even applies to "buying insurance across state lines. Sick people cost money. Some healthy people think they don't need insurance. Some people need help in paying for their insurance. People claim they don't need all those medical benefits, they want to pick and chose. Problem with that is one won't know they need that particular benefit until they need it and then it might be too late to get it. There are a lot of things to take your chances on but your health, I believe, is not one of them. Especially when kids are involved.
And from what I have seen the Republicans , with their trumpcare, haven't addressed or half addressed the items above. And it seems they are ok if some people lose their insurance. But those folks will have access....

Actually Gia, everything you say leads me to believe you are ok with prices going up because a republican is in power. You are constantly referring back to Obama to excuse Trump's poor behaviour to point out that it was okay, excused and dismissed when Obama did it, but now that Trump did it, it suddenly matters. All you can say is .....bbb but, but but Obama lied too! Fixed that for you. And there is nothing I have said that indicates I'm okay with prices going up -for any reason. That's irrational, because NO ONE would be in favor of paying more. You're doing nothing more than trying to justify an irrational, illogical statement by trying to shame me as being a much maligned Trump supporter. In case you hadn't noticed, that doesn't work with me. THIS is my response to a post that was, very specifically, about liars lying about a specific thing. THAT'S what THIS is about. Obama lied. About the very. exact. same. thing. And then he lied about saying it. I hold Trump to the same standard I hold Obama and they both fall flat.
