Actually Gia, everything you say leads me to believe you are ok with prices going up because a republican is in power. You are constantly referring back to Obama to excuse Trump's poor behaviour. This is not about Obama. For 8 years republicans have been bitching about the Affordable Care Act. They have been hypercritical. Now they seem to have nothing reasonable to replace it with. Yeah, Obama was wrong. Obama told a lie. gasp!!!! I believe that Obama thought that prices were not going to go up and that people were going to keep their insurance. I think he really believed that, believed that he and his people had crafted something that would help the American people. He tried very hard to do so. And now YOU are comparing Trump with Obama. This is not about Obama. This is about Trump and his lies and you would think that after all of those years criticizing Obama, that you would hold Trump to a higher standard. But no. All you can say is .....bbb but, but but Obama lied too! I agree with this. I believe that with the information given at the time, Obama believed what he said. However, I think he u underestimated the insurance companies. Imo, they have taken advantage of people's dislike of Obama. Prices go up? People automatically blame Obama instead of looking at the insurance company. Unless the government puts restrictions on what the companies can charge, or go to a single payer system, I don't see prices going down. Great two posts! I think some people don't understand what a lie is.

I think some people don't understand what a lie is. Everyone knows what a lie is. The difference according to those on your side is, only the Right lies. When the Left lies, there are always reason why it's different, okay, doesn't apply, or like in this case Obama really believed it, so the lie wasn't a lie. Or whatever the topic, whether it be about lying or not. Don't think that's true? Show me a thread where it hasn't happened.

And today's tweet.....
"Despite what you hear in the press, healthcare is coming along great. We are talking to many groups and it will end in a beautiful picture!"
I guess some might see it as a " beautiful picture" but I suspect those who will end up paying even higher premiums and those losing their insurance might not think so.

And then we have Elizabeth Warren's view.
"It’s time to junk this cruel #Trumpcare bill before massive numbers of Americans are hurt by it."
"A health care bill that destroys care & affordable coverage for millions – seriously? What planet are these guys living on?!"
"The GOP have convinced people who never agree on ANYTHING – docs, hospitals, economists, even insurance companies: #Trumpcare is a disaster."
Can't argue with what she is saying.

and you would think that after all of those years criticizing Obama, that you would hold Trump to a higher standard. I hold Trump to the same standard I hold Obama and they both fall flat. That's not how it appears to me. To me you criticize Obama but don't criticize Trump, you appear to always be defending him.

So not much activity today from president tiny hands. He did retweet this Dridge Report tweet...
"GREAT AGAIN: +235,000"
I was going to post on this Hall of Fame of trump's tweet until I read this tweet from ABC News about something Sean Spicer said in his daily news briefing.
"Press Sec. on Pres. Trump having previously called jobs reports "phony": "They may have been phony in the past but it's very real now.""
First this job numbers isn't that much different then previous job reports. There had been lower numbers but that is to be expected. Just like the number of unemployment claims filed has fluctuated. Which went up this week.
Second the same people who put together the job data for the Obama Administration are the same group putting it together for tiny hand's administration.
Just more misinformation and/or lies.
Bob Cesa from Salon.
"Feb 2016 (Obama): +237,000 Feb 2015 (Obama): +238,000 But Trump gets another participation trophy because +235K. @realdonaldtrump #MAGA"

I actually couldn't find anywhere that you criticized Trump. Granted, I didn't look at every post, you are a prolific poster and I don't have time to read everything you have written in the last 6 months. But what I did read, overall, lots of condemnation of "the left", of Obama etc, very little criticism/condemnation of "the right", mostly support.

Damn that confirmation bias, bit you in the ass again, did it? You just demonstrated it with what you said. It's there for all to see. There would even be on the first page of my posting history if it hadn't got bumped after I wasted my time responding to you trying to insist I don't criticize Trump at all. So take your half-assed confirmation and go forth, secure in the "knowledge" that I don't cticize Trump enough for your liking. Enjoy the board and rest assured I don't give a flip fly fig whether or not you approve of my Trump condemnation count.

Today's tweet....
"We are making great progress with healthcare. ObamaCare is imploding and will only get worse. Republicans coming together to get job done!"
That's the Republicans in Congress , coming together to screw the American people.

Can I ask an honest question? Why do posters on this board persist in having a dialog with an obviously unbalanced individual who constant derails discussions? I don't think anyone has to point out that the opinions are crazy and that they don't make sense. @devildog's thread is a wonderful example of a reasonable discussion between so called liberals and conservatives, not this nonsense.
Everything being posted by the crazy has been posted and disputed so many times, there is nothing new to discuss here. If everyone ignored the crazy it would go away.

But if she did I suspect the thread would start to go downhill like this one is starting to. Why do people engage? I guess the answer might be the same for those who get frustrated on Political threads and for some reason can't scroll by. Lack of will power. We all display that lack of will power from time to time. On this thread we made it through 41 pages pretty much staying on the topic at hand before it started to go down hill yesterday. Because of that if tweeter-in-chief should start another twitter rant I will start another thread and we can see how many pages we will hit before it's infected.

Just so you know, I sent her a PM to ask her to copy and paste where she criticized Trump and/or the right and/or republicans. 19 hours ago. No reply and I don't expect there to be. I will no longer engage these people. I'm sorry and hope I haven't caused this thread to go sideways permanently!

Happening now at unsecured Trump golf course, per pool report: POTUS having "'part of a cabinet mtg' to discuss the military & other things""
"Unsecured location having a discussion about the military and other things with cabinet members".

Good question by Joy Reid of MSNBC to trump supporters......
"Specifically to Trump supporters: why do you suddenly believe that the unemployment rate is 4.7% and not 35-49% like you thought before?"
"The jobless rate hasn't changed. And Trump hasn't signed any economic programs into law. So this is the same economy as January."
"And yet, I'll bet if you took a poll now you would find that "economic anxiety" among Trump voters has sharply declined or vanished."
"... and that these same people suddenly think the economy -- which is exactly the same as it was when Obama was president -- is great."

It appears tiny hands has backed away from twitter after the reaction from last Saturday's rant. That's a good thing.
I did run across this tweet that is a quote from my favorite photographer Ansel Adams. Now he has been gone for a lot of years so when I read it I wondered if he really did say this. He did.
"It is horrifying that we have to fight our own government to save the environment. ~Ansel Adams #EPA"
What was true when he said this years and years ago is sadly true again today.

"It is amazing how rude much of the media is to my very hard working representatives. Be nice, you will do much better!"
I don't know maybe if they would stop lying....
"ObamaCare is imploding. It is a disaster and 2017 will be the worst year yet, by far! Republicans will come together and save the day."
Bullshit!!

From Hart Hanson one of the TV show Bones creator.
"Paul Ryan maintains that 24 million people losing health coverage is GOOD because they're CHOOSING not to be covered unlike Obamacare. #Spin"
Ryan doesn't seem to be concerned at all that millions will be losing health coverage and care. Cause you know it brings down that deficit. And as a bonus it gives huge tax cuts to the rich.
I would appear my take on the Republican agenda isn't that far off.
"Republican platform - mean spirited that benefits the few at the expense of the many."

Paul Sargent from the Washington Post summed up the trump administration I think very nicely.
"Folks, let's stop assuming "populists" Trump or Bannon secretly want more generous ACA replace than Ryan does. All Trump wants is to win:"
