I finished square #6 of my Christmas blanket. I took photos of all the squares I've completed so far. I'm going to enjoy this blanket when it's done! Those are amazing. Can't wait to see it all completed.

Gale....i love that pattern! Finally got the model top together for my first pattern... My mom is testing the pattern for me as we speak. 👍 Next up is the model for this one: I'm not sure who's testing this one yet.... Then quilting and photos for both. I love how vibrant that is!

SweetieBugs that quilt is stunning! I just now put in the last stitches of the baby blanket I've been working on. Just a few stray ends to work in and blocking needed now - dead on target, baby is officially due 21st March, but expected to be delivered early as he's looking very big! I added a scalloped border as I felt it looked unfinished without it. Really pleased with how this has turned out. In preparation for Nuts About Squares CAL, I decided to try a square from some yarn leftovers by following Esther's videos. Up until now I've pretty much only learnt the most basic stitches, so a bit of practice before I start on the good yarn seemed like a good idea! I eventually want to make the Charlotte's Dream blanket, so as she has videos for the Charlotte square that's what I went with. This is the last pic I've got - since then I've added the opposite triangle. Not sure if I will have enough yarn of the same colour to do the others. (Note that I haven't bothered weaving in any ends as this is just a practice piece, I'd never leave them to the end for real!) In amongst all that, I'm still working away steadily at the Coast Ripple blanket - currently somewhere between a third and half done. It's good to do in front of the TV and if I haven't finished it by the time the CAL starts, will be useful as a bit of relief I think. No pics of that just yet. That star baby blanket is incredible!

I just completed a crochet set that a friend of a friend asked me to make for her. She selected the colors. I got all the patterns from Raverly (except the afghan, which is a basic granny square). It is a baby afghan with her name, a little poncho and a princess crown. I also made a couple of hats just because... All of that is so precious! I finally finished the afghan I was making for my mom. Blue is her favorite color. That's lovely! She's going to love it.

Second time writing this - the first one disappeared. Poof. Gone. Anyway, Kelleem - love your Christmas afghan. Is it knit or crochet? Gale and CandleAngie - love your quilts. It's so cool that you are designing your own patterns. How are you going to sell them? Thru Etsy? Anyway, here's what I've been working on. My nephew and his wife's quilt. And I put the Aggie fleece on the back to make sure they feel comfortable using it. Edited to add that this is a free quilt pattern. Michael Miller Fabrics And here's a quilt I finally finished after working on it for years. I English paper pieced this top when I first started quilting using pieces of fabrics from quilt I made. I finished the top about 3 years ago and just got around to quilting it.

I went to my first knitting class last Thursday and am now about 3 inches into my washcloth. I feel as though I'll never get the hang of it like you knitting ladies who are posting here! My washcloth is very uneven -- some loose stitches and some tight. I'm scheduled to learn a different-looking stitch this Thursday.
I had a hard time with crochet and have given it up (for now) to learn knitting. Knitting is coming along quicker for me.
I just love all the projects here!!!!

Happy to see and read about what everyone is accomplishing. For me - nothing. One really can not cut sheets of glass in bed - which is where I've been the past 2 months. First month from a bad fall - second month from a DVT clot from the first problem. Oh no! I hope you have a speedy (speedier!) recovery! Save

I finished a pair of yoga socks that I've been working on for the past month (along with a couple of other projects). I've made socks before, but this was my first time trying them with sock-weight yarn and tiny needles (size 2). I decided to do this project on dpns. It was challenging. I had no problem binding off for the heel opening, but casting on again and joining in the round (and making it look good) was nerve-wracking.
I posted a couple of photos on Ravelry. I am currently finishing up a Snowfall Ski Hood-- I'm done with all of the knitting, I just need to make and attach the pom poms.
I've also been working on a cowl that I've been making with a fingering weight yarn, in a colorway called November Topaz (my birthstone). I've been working on this since November, mostly NOT working on it. I'm not all that enamored with it.
I am not allowing myself to start any new projects until I wrap up these two.

It's three across and three down with banners on the top and bottom (Merry on top and Christmas on bottom). I forget who who asked but it's crochet.

The more you knit, the more practice you will get and the better you will become. We all started somewhere - it takes a bit of time to get the tension right but hang in there, you can do it!

I'm working on a hat using the Box Pleated Pattern that I downloaded from Ravelry. The pattern designer recommends closing the top by using the Kitchener stitch -- something I've never used before! Anyone have any helpful hints, tips, tutorials, etc?

justmeamy I LOVE your brain beanie!!! There is a TV personality here whose husband died from brain cancer. A couple of years ago she won the top TV award in our equivalent of the Emmys and when she got up on stage to accept the award in her gorgeous fancy gown, she put a beanie on her head and spoke about the disease. This kicked off the Beanies For Brain Cancer charity to raise funds for brain cancer research. How perfect would your beanie be for that?!?!

My other craft this month (and probably at least through the next marching season): http://instagram.com/p/BRWr6xDA2Ou The band got new uniform jackets. I've been tapped to make pillows out of the old jackets. I get half of the money to cover my cost of pillows, thread, and seam rippers (I've broke one so far) plus time. The rest will go back to the band to help fund additional jackets or new pants.

I've had a spring cross stitch project planned for weeks, and suddenly realized it's springtime and I'd better get it stitched and framed before summer! I'd share it, but it's just a brown blob of a bunny's stomach and arms and butt so far. Thanks for inspiring me to get busy!

I just started this baby blanket last night. It's called Shell Stitch and I got the pattern off of Pinterest. I thought it would be hard because I only the basic stitches, but it wasn't hard. I just finished row 8 and it's almost rote now. The width is 28 inches. I think the number of rows is 69 so it will end up around 34 inches in length. It's for my first grandson to be born in May! This is a close up of the stitches. The yarn I bought at Hobby Lobby. It's so soft!

@jigglypuff - that is going to be beautiful! Love the stitches and the colors. I have used that yarn before on a baby afghan and loved it!
