@gina you rock the tops, don't let anyone else make you re-think wearing them! Oh I absolutely am not. In fact, this thread has inspired me to go out and find some new ones! haha!! SaveSave

I like them and will be wearing them when the weather gets better. I have to admit to finding Pea opinions on fashion pretty hilarious.

I bought a couple last year when they came in in the UK, and really liked them. I wore one yesterday for Mothering Sunday because it's been warm enough for the first time this year. I've not liked my upper arms for some years now and until then have only really worn long or three-quarter length sleeves. But these show off the part of my shoulder/arms that looks good, not the saggy (my word - my DH thinks I'm crazy and my arms are fine!) part underneath. And for some reason, that little piece extra fabric just above the elbow stops my arms from getting cold - I have no idea why.

I like them and my shoulders and upper arms are looking pretty good these days from working out (my bottom half not so much)!

gina you look gorgeous! That style really suits you. Thanks so much! I work very hard on my arms and shoulders daily. I am proud to show 'em off! SaveSaveYou look so cute in them. I think everyone should wear what makes them happy!

I have one. I like it. Mine even has little tassels on it - probably totally out of style by next year. I'm fine with fashion that just lasts a year or two. It's a shirt, not a sofa.
(And I rarely care what anyone thinks I "should" be wearing. If you're offended by the sight of someone's less-than-perfect shoulders, go get a hobby.)

I have very narrow shoulders, so that style just doesn't look right on me. It's like the top doesn't fall in the right place. I like it on others, though.

There's no argument that they look fabulous on gina. She'd look good in just about anything. I have one or two. In regards to the comments about how they fit -- you HAVE to try these on before buying. It's just like jeans. Every pair out there doesn't fit and flatter *you* and these tops are the same way. When you find the one that fits and flatters correctly, you may change your mind. And I love the comment lainey made -- in general, pea declarations about fashion should be taken with a big old grain of salt.

I think they are silly; however, I think people should wear what they like and feel comfortable in.

I am really behind the times.. I thought this thread dwelt with people ignoring others! I see these shirts in all the stores, but have not found any I wanted to try on.

I didn't like them a couple years ago, but then I tried one on last year and it was super cute on. I don't keep a ton of clothes to begin with, so I won't be buying lots of them, but I think they're fun.
Comments about people who should or shouldn't be wearing something always drive me crazy.

I like any modification that makes something trendy, but this style is not for me. I am old, out of shape and pasty white except for sun damage so I won't be buying any. But even all the plus size sites have a whole lot of this style and even more, the totally off the shoulder shirts.
Edit to say I might buy one for myself if it is a tunic style because I have to cover up my stomach.

Gina you look great!
I think they are cute, but it does seem like the stores are going a bit overboard with them.

I'm not a trend follower so i won't be buying. I remember the cold shoulder style from the 90s.

It's not as bad as some of the ones that you pull the "sleeves" all the way down and expose all of your shoulders, collarbones, etc (the name of the style escapes me at the moment) I don't like it because of how it makes the breast area look--even small boobs with no bra can be unflattering!

I think the look is cute. My dd has some and I love the way she looks in them. The pea who posted pics of herself (Gina) looks great in them. I'm not one to worry too terribly much about trends though--I buy what I like, what I feel looks good on me, and what's comfortable. I think the cold shoulder tops are cute, but have yet to try one on. I've recently lost weight , although I still have a decent amount to go, and am experimenting with what looks good on me. My upper arms currently look terrible. I have to be careful with what I wear. If I found one that showed mostly shoulder and not a lot of upper arm, I think that could highlight what looks good while hiding what doesn't.

Well, that's basically what I wore for an evening out with friends Friday night. It wasn't completely off the shoulder, but rather rode right on the top edge of the shoulder. I have smaller boobs, did wear a bra, and got lots of compliments on my outfit thank you very much.

Not a fan. The style has been around for over a year and is hanging on, so some must like it.
I have never thought about the view of the shoulders being the issue. To me, it looks like the mfg. ran out of fabric. hahahah
(Interesting about the opinions on the style.)

I own 2 and like how they look, one is purple, very casual. And one is black Chico's and dressy.

That makes sense, I'd hoped I could hide th bad parts, instead I tried 1-2 that framed them!

I don't mind them on the right person. I don't think they would look great on me, but I must confess, I have never tried one on. In my mind, I see a horrible picture. Like someone trying to younger than what they are (and I am only 45!).

I hate it because I find it unattractive. I won't buy anything in the style. Me, too. I thought I was the only one.

I am sitting here cracking up right now. I don't care what all of you haters say, I LOVE cold shoulder tops annnnnnnd I knew I had the photo evidence to prove it! LOL This is literally just a few quick pics from the past 8 or so weeks. Sorry not sorry. I love 'em! ETA: Not sure why there is such an influx of these tops now. I don't think the trend is new. I have had them in my closet for YEARS. Case in point (I am full of photo evidence tonight!) This pic was taken in December 2013 and I certainly did not craft this lovely shirt myself. haha Ok, me and my cold shoulders are out of here! SaveSaveSaveSaveSaveSaveI have no comment on the tops as I am a saggy baggy almost 60 year old. But I had to comment as I thought these pics were of a model wearing the tops. Gina, you are gorgeous! You could wear an Aldi's bag and look amazing. Rock on with your bad self!

I have one. I bought my daughter one. I didn't spend more than $20 on each. I am bucking the age with mine but I don't care. It's a not a mini skirt so I felt like it was passable. LOL! I actaully like it because I get a little warm at times. I do think this trend will fade out so I agree with others posts about not investing too much or buying too many.
