Not a fan. It doesn't matter who I see wearing them I think they look trampy and like hooker clothes. Careful there, clutch those pearls any tighter and you'll accidentally choke yourself out.

I don't think I could pull it off. I haven't seen a soul wearing a top like that, and it hasn't exactly been cold lately at +10C. I think they sell limited numbers of them where I am until the trend takes off. I give it another year to catch on here.

I didn't know that was the term used for that type of shirt. I thought the thread was about giving someone the "cold shoulder".
I think if someone has the body for it, it looks okay, but in a year, those tops will look dated.
Most of the women who wear "cold shoulder" tops really shouldn't be wearing them. KWIM?
I have fat arms so it would look bad on me.

I had two shirts from a few years back that I recently got rid of. I didn't realize they were still in style.

That chubby lower arm, maybe it should always be under a long sleeve, those fat big toes are absurd in sandals, how far does this go? I have a fat chin, i suppose I could cover that with a nice burka.

I don't feel strongly about cold shoulder tops one way or the other. I've seen some cold shoulder tops I really like and others I don't.
I've tried on a couple of cold shoulder tops and none have ever worked on me because I have narrow shoulders and the opening doesn't hit me at the right place.
However, I don't understand why, in some people's minds, cold shoulder tops should be off limits for anyone over 50 or anyone who is overweight. Who makes these rules and why?
Personally, I think it's a lot more about body type than size or age. I also think it depends on the style of the cold shoulder top. Some cold shoulder tops are very tight and revealing and others are very flowy and only expose a glimpse of skin.

I truly do not know who should not be wearing these tops! I would think a shoulder is the least area of the body that needs to be covered. I get people covering their bellies, cleavage, butt cracks, and even flappy arms. But what is so horrific about the shoulder area?

I think they look cute on people much younger than me. I couldn't pull it off, certainly, but I've seen several on others that look cute.

Disclaimer: I have not read all the posts.
I would rather the style be called peek a boo. Just sounds nicer.

teri , You need to start an ongoing thread about your sewing creations. You have mad skills, and I always enjoy looking at your photos. I've sewn a few new things, but I cannot show them yet. I'm testing a pattern for a new cute Tshirt. The pattern will be released soon.

I have 3-4 shirts like this. My upper arms aren't thin, but I feel like this style doesn't highlight that issue.
It *DOES* feel like my bra straps are falling down my arms when I wear these tops. I can feel where the bottom of the 'peekaboo' cut out touches my arm, and that's where the bra strap sensation comes from.
I get compliments when I wear this style. I'm 53.

Not a fan. It doesn't matter who I see wearing them I think they look trampy and like hooker clothes. That's unbelievably rude considering we have peas on this thread sharing photos of themselves in such tops.
