jennyap Beautiful work, you must be chuffed. Have you checked out today's posting? I like the look of the new square and she has posted lots of pics. I know I will be behind for a while but hope, over the Easter hols, to be on track by week 3.

I've pulled out an old UFO for this month...so I'd love to see it at least turned into a finished top this month. I have two more houses to make then a variety if trees and bushes before I can make the rows...

candleangie - I love those blocks! That's going to be an incredible quilt top! Are those of your own design? If so, any chance you will sell the pattern in the future? I would love to do something like that.

I'm spending a little time refining them as I go, but I do plan to put them online in the near future. 😊 they're made up with some fairly intense paper piecing...lol

pjaye jennyap wellway gillyp or anyone who has ordered from Wool Warehouse. I'm going to give in and order the hydrangea and am looking at the cotton for other projects, most likely another dress or two for dgd, and am wondering how the Debbie Bliss cotton is to work with. It looks like it's pretty soft and I love the colors. I Love This Cotton from Hobby Lobby is great but the options are limited. Thanks for any input!

I haven't worked with cotton. I'm wondering if anyone on Raverly could help/comment.

Just the Scheepjes Stonewashed, which I found very easy to work with, and another Australian brand 50% cotton & 50% acrylic which was a bit stiffer to crochet with, but ultimately still easy enough to use.
I have seen & touched some of the Debbie Bliss range and it all feels beautifully soft, but haven't bought any yet, I'd say it's a premium yarn and would probably be lovely to work with. It's quite expensive over here around $8-9 a ball. I really don't think you'd have any issues with it. Stylecraft also has a cotton rage Classique Cotton which comes in 27 colors.
I love the colours in the Hydrangea blanket, but I seriously have to stop buying yarn for awhile as I've accumulated quite a stash over the past few months.
Don't forget to use the code SC23 for 10% off.

King Cole Cotton Soft is my absolute favourite cotton, it's so soft and drapey when worked. I've made a few blankets with it and it washes nicely as well. I haven't used the Debbie Bliss, it's very expensive for the tiny amount you get. Save

I don't think it's cotton and it IS expensive but it is beautiful to handle and work with. Have a look at the Scheepjes Colour Crafter. It's acrylic but doesn't have that synthetic feel. I'm using it for my Nuts About squares and they are working up very nicely. I'll pop a photo up in a few days. DH is away and I am making the most of clearing some clutter; just popped online to order some photo frames.

I own a candy store so the subject is very me. What a fun thing! How on earth do you deal with the daily temptation? When I was a child, my grandmother owned a small country store (and lived in the back of the store). We would spend summers and holidays with her and would help out in the store. I've always said that was my best paid job ever....free candy, ice cream and cokes! Sometimes I deal with it very well and others I have to give in! You would know this if you saw me. I saw this on FB and totally fell in love with it. I own a candy store so the subject is very me. I had no idea! What a fun job! I'm jealous. My shop is no where near as pretty as yours.

Here is my last weeks mini work. New bedding, nightie and dressing gown and two bonnets. The Steampunk bonnet and stand are very hard to photograph as there is alot of detail and dark colours and I am a rubbish photographer. eta, I have fixed that crooked middle seam now. Attachments:

Someone on Ravelry (who only knits) asked if people would volunteer to make crochet granny squares for her 10 year old daughter with autism. Her DD is a big fan of "Call the Midwife" and wanted a blanket like Chummy's. I made her 20 (5") squares using 6 skeins of the Colorwheel yarn from Michael's. These should give her a good start.

Well after crocheting two rows on my sweater I decided it was too wide for me. So I frogged it and started over making it the next size smaller. I am four rows in right now.

Boo to frogging - but at least you found out early! Week 2 of the CAL is working up very quickly and I'm enjoying this square. Already finished square one and average halfway done with the others. Should only need a couple more evenings as long as I don't have to work too late. (I'll take some daylight pics when I get a bit further in!)

Sorry you had to frog but so glad you are working on it. I finished up the crochet squares posted above but working on my intimidating shawl tonight.

I have three quilts that I would like to finish. They are ones that I have inherited. The top is done to one. It is just blocks, and I had completed it years ago and set it aside. Some of it is material that my great aunt did, and other of it is material from the 60's and 70's. I plan on using some older material, it was my great aunt's so possibly from the 1930's - 1950's, for the back. I currently have that soaking to try to get some of the yellow out. The other two need to have the top completed. The star was completed by my grandmother and she gave it to me to finish and it has been sitting in my closet. The bottom one is just squares done by my great aunt. My goal is to find some material to put among the squares, and find some material for the back. There is so much fabric out there and I want it to be perfect so it is hard. Attachments:
