Happy Monday ladies! I hope you are having a nice day. I had a very good and busy weekend. Friday night I went to a girl's night out at the church we have been visiting. Have you all seen "Mom's Night Out?" Oh it was funny and sweet. Although I am not a mom, I could related to it. Very cute! Then Saturday was my dh's job picnic. It was out in the hills so it was a nice hour or so drive. When I got there I was impressed. It was like a carnival with rides, a small lake with boat rides and tents offering face painting and etc. There was lots of food and drink and people. We had a good time and it was nice meeting so many of his co workers and bosses. I took some pictures but not sure any of them really captured the event like I wanted but that's ok. I think I have at least a few to scrap with. Then, Sunday was a little busy and then lots and lots of rest. maribeth- Thanks for the praise and it did feel good to do a layout after a long break. Your project you made it outstanding!!!! Wow, how cute too. LisaDV- Have a good trip and I hope you get some good pictures. Yes, I did figure out my new card size and plan on working on them this week. scrapincin- Can you send us one of those cookies? LOL! What a fun day fishing and making those cookies. I know the kids love enjoying one of those treats. Will you be going fishing again this summer? grammadee- Glad to hear your garden is underway. What will you all be planting this year? justjac- You did have a fun trip too and got to go to two LSS, now that is what I call fun!!!

Good Monday evening, Ladies! Love your cookies, scrapincin ! And that little caravan is gorgeous, maribeth ! justjac , I am amazed at how comfortable you are with digi, and that you could keep up with LOAD even when on a road trip. Sounds like you got some cool photos to scrap, too. Sounds like you had an exciting weekend, too, kellyr21 , and that you have lots of photos to scrap. Looking forward to all those pages, you two. I didn't get many photos this weekend, but dd took her ds around the farm and snapped some great shots that I will be able to use for sure. nylene , I hope you are feeling better. You seem to put a lot of energy into looking after everyone else. I hope you spend some of that on yourself. That's a bummer about your retreat, msliz . Even though I have lots of my stuff in vary portable containers, it does disrupt my scrap room when I am getting ready for a retreat. Would hate to have one cancelled at the last minute. No scrapping for me this weekend. We managed to get the potatoes, onions, and most of the other veggies into the ground yesterday and today. Usually we do a little each day for about 2 weeks. This time we did it all in 2 days. I am stiff and sore. Tomorrow I need to plant my "salad row", which requires me to crawl along the row, putting little sections of several types of seeds into the row. Then I will be done with the garden for a couple of weeks. Also baked a cake today for my grand niece's 13th bd. She wanted "dance slippers", so I baked a 9 x 13 cake and then cut it into two slipper shapes. I have each wrapped tightly in the freezer tonight, and then tomorrow I will glaze each with melted chocolate then decorate the tops. Will post a pic if I get a chance. We are going to their house for a family bd supper, so I will bring the cake to her then. Well, I am off to crawl into bed. Hoping to sleep in. Have been up early with dgs all weekend--he says "the birds" wake him up, but he is the only little bird that wakes ME up so early!

I posted last night and went in to correct a couple of words and must have hit some magic button, because it all disappeared! I was too tired to go back and start over again. Sometimes I am so klutzy. I have commented on some of your projects, but have not caught them all yet. maribeth , that little caravan is adorable. You are so good at 3D projects. scrapincin , your fish cookies make me hungry. I haven't made a treat in this house for a couple of months. Helps the diet, but I am missing homemade goodies. grammadee , those slippers are amazing. I'm sure she was thrilled. I love the bright red. msliz, I am sorry about your retreat being cancelled. I hope you can repack and get ready for the next one. What a disappointment. LisaDV , have you used your 3D printer lately? How are the little chickies doing? justjac , I have lots of your projects to catch up on. How do you keep up with it all? LOAD would kill me. I am still waiting to hear back from my Dr. I don't feel terrible, but I'm not as much better as he thought I would be by now. Angie and her family will be here in a couple of weeks and I'd like to be totally better by then! Our granddaughter, Megan, was married on Sat. It was such a nice day. I saw relatives that I haven't seen since my dad died in 2010. It seems impossible for our first little grandchild to be a married woman. I will have lots of photos to scrap. I just need to find the time to do it! I'm off to see your projects. I hope to be seen here more often now. Have a great day and a great week, everyone.

Good to hear from you, nylene . I hope that you will be feeling better every day now. It seems to take longer to "get back to normal" than it used to, doesn't it. My niece's daughter loved her card and the dance slipper cakes. We were there for supper last night. As we were chatting with her parents and grandmother, she was busy doing some kind of video on her phone, talking while she viewed the cakes from different angles . Today it's been raining with more in the forecast. Really glad we got the garden in when we had the chance. I need to drive to pick up the last of the printed pages for dgs's album and stop at the greenhouse for my potted flowers. Hoping they may have some more veggie bedding plants now, too. Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!

msliz, sorry that your crop was canceled. Ticks have been really plentiful here in Michigan. It sounds like you had an extra day over the weekend with your mom taking a better offer. I hope you enjoyed the day. Sorry your dd is struggling too. Good luck with your new neurologist. scrapincin, those cookies are adorable. Glad everyone had fun fishing. And 2 is better than none! maribeth, saw your creation the other day on flickr and left love there. So very cool. justjac, sounds like a fun weekend. I have a couple of layouts that I still need to leave love on in the gallery of yours. I'm so enjoying these. kellyr21, sounds like a really full and fun weekend. I would need a down time day to make up for all of the social interaction. grammadee, super cute slipper cake. So clever of you to display it with music sheet paper under it. nylene, glad to "see" you. I do hope you are taking time to rest and recuperate! (that's me wagging my finger at you while giving you stink eye to get you take care of yourself. my kids are use to that. ha) Chickens are so big already. The coop won't be finished for another couple of weeks though. Since it sprinkled on Sunday and looked like rain, we left late. DD & Don went to the pool that afternoon. Then we just vegged in the hotel room until bed. We got a kitchenette since it's really hard to eat out with dd. After her appt on Monday and just general running around, we went to a minor league baseball game in the evening which was a lot of fun. Tuesday morning dd & I went swimming, lunch, haircuts, and then got ready to leave. We hit hobby lobby on the way out as well as a grocery store for a few items that I knew I couldn't get locally. DD appt was with the NP. She has concurred with our belief that the stomach aches are not related to the headaches. Therefore the abdominal migraine diagnosis would be incorrect. They did put a note in the chart that they think a trip to the mayo clinic would be helpful. So I schedule the follow-up with the PCP which I know she's already been working on/toward this for us. So keep your fingers crossed. Today is just a catch up on laundry and phone calls type of day, but I did succeed in finishing off a layout that's been setting on my craft desk. I'll try to take a picture of it tomorrow.

Happy Thursday! It is a cloudy day today but nice. I hope you all are doing well today. I am working on some cards and art this week. I missed painting and getting back into it recently felt so nice. I still want to bake and decorate cupcakes/cakes. So I will squeeze that in when I can and before the weather gets too hot. nylene- I am glad you are feeling better and hope this week is even better. Wow, your dgd got married! That is so sweet. Can't wait to see some pics. Oh and thanks for all the praise on my Mother's Day cards. That one card with the sheer ribbon for my mom was peach. I wish the picture turned out better but that peach looked great with the vintage pp. LisaDV- You all had quite an adventure. Sounds like lots to scrap about. You and your dh are such great parents to your kids especially your dd. Sending you both cheers today! grammadee- Oh that cake was sooooo cute! I never seen that before. So creative and looked yummy too. scrapincin- Hope your dh is feeling better these days. Any more fishing planned? I just found out through our city's newspaper that we had a fishing derby here too. I would of like to see that! Waving hello to you all and see ya soon.

All this food on the thread is making me hungry what with scrapincin and her cookies and grammadee with her cake. Waving hello to everyone. I am hoping to scraft all memorial weekend long (except for enough time to wash my car). So looking forward to it. Hopefully I will have lots of projects to post. Have a wonderful Friday.

Hi, everyone. I am feeling a lot better. I still have a deep cough, but haven't finished all the antibiotics yet. Maybe just need a little time. LisaDV , I hope you are able to get an appt. at the Mayo. They really helped us with our DD. Very caring and did lots of tests. It sounds like you are having fun together. And thanks for wagging your finger at me. I need that once in a while. It's hard to just sit around when there are things to be done! kellyr21 , I am looking forward to seeing more of your cards and art. maribeth , I hope you have lots of fun scrafting this weekend. I think we will be planting flowers. @grandmadee, what bedding plants are you getting. I miss my little garden where I could plant lots of peas and eat them right out of the garden! scrapincin , what else have you been doing along with fishing and making Fish Cookies. I'm sure you have had some school events with the kids at the end of the year. msliz , how is the "home from college" DD doing now? Has she settled in? justjac , I am still enjoying your LOAD layouts in the gallery. It's just taking me a while to catch up! We went to DGS's graduation yesterday. He graduated with Honors. He's such a funny kid. His dad was taking him early to the venue and clapped him on the shoulder and told him he loved him and was so proud of him. He replied, "I know that, Dad, but it's getting repetitious." Like I said before, with autism it's his social skills that are lacking. He doesn't realize how many kids would love to hear those words from a parent. Both sides of the family all went to dinner together and had a great time. His social skills were good there. Funny boy, he can't wait to start college in the Fall. I actually sat down and finished a page yesterday. It made me want to spend time in my scraproom. I need to do a little cleaning since everything got piled in here while I wasn't scrapping. LOL Have a great weekend, and I hope you Canadian Pokeys had a great Victoria Day last week. Hey Pokeys, TGIF. Although it will be a busy weekend for me. I signed up for a class at the LSS to make a Heartfelt Creations flip book tonight and tomorrow. I will share pics once it's done. I've been busy with work and LOAD. Now that I'm home, I'm doing paper layouts (although I might not have time tonight). Here are my last two about our trip last summer. Dreams Come TrueRobbery

Good evening Pokeys! Well here we are starting another weekend! I got my glasses back tonight. I was having to wear my previous glasses while mine were gone. For some reason both lenses started cracking close to the edges. They said the poly carbonate does that sometimes. I actually think I can see better out of these glasses then I did before. You're right Nylene I have been busy going to see the kids stuff. Maggie had a musical program. Bobby had a recognition program. Also the Cavs are in the finals of the basketball championships so I have watched some of those, and some baseball as my brother can't get them so I give him the run downs. I had a mess in my scrap room so I have got that cleaned up-mainly my desk so maybe I can scrap tomorrow! Or Sunday as we are getting rain all day. Going to try to go to the gallery and leave some love for the great layouts you have posted. nylene it is so good to see you able to scrap again. I was really concerned about you! kellyr21 have you seen any of the games? Le Bron passed records by Michael Jordan. He is something again! Looking forward to them beating the Warriors! LisaDV I hope you get to go to the Mayo Clinic I use them as a reliable source if I am digging for information on something medical.

Good evening, Ladies. Good to see you crafting again, nylene. Hope you are feeling better. Bet you are as busy as scrapincin with dgk's end of year activities. And great to hear maribeth is planning a crafty long weekend, and that kellyr21 is getting back into painting and card making. Can't wait to see what you create at that class, justjac. It has been fun following along with your LOAD production! What are you up to this weekend, msliz? I've been busy with gardening and other non scrappy activities. Managed to get all my bedding plants. And yesterday, I brought home the paint we need for the exterior of our house. I finished dgs's grad album today (simply slipping printed pages into page protectors. And completed a page for my album that has been on my counter for about 10 days. And its partner. 2 wheels no worries by Gramma Dee, on Flickr 2 wheels no worries 2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Saturday, we are going to Athabasca (about 3 hours away}, where my brother's ashes will be interred. There will be a family gathering afterward and we plan to stay over night. Have a wonderful weekend, Ladies!

Congrats, nylene ! And thanks for passing that on, scrapincin . We are back home after the internment yesterday. It was a lovely ceremony at graveside, and then we went back to my sister-in-law's place to gather with family and friends for a meal. Talked way into the evening, stayed at a hotel, then dropped in for coffee this morning before heading home. It was a wonderful experience: lots of memories, lots of laughter, lots of debates (which my brother loved) and lots of music. His widow has seemed quite on edge since the funeral in October, but this weekend she was very relaxed, much more like herself. I think it really helped with her healing. My scraproom is a disaster area. Received two kits on Friday and just had time to open them up and spread them out on the counter (from which I had not put away the debris from the bike pages}. A pkg from Taylored Expressions had arrived last week as well, and its contents have joined the party on the counter. And Thursday I picked up a few scrappy supplies from the LSS... We are leaving for Calgary on Thursday morning. Before then, I need to create a grad card (using some of my new goodies) and get this room straightened out. Our nephew's dw plans to drop in one evening this week to choose some stamps and dies and maybe some other tools to replace the ones she dropped off yesterday. (She is a relatively new cardmaker/ scrapper, and uses my craftroom as a kind of lending library to try new tools and techniques before she commits to purchasing her own stash.) And I hope I will have tons of photos after the grad weekend, so I want to be ready to play with those when we get back. I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend.

kellyr21, that's so sweet. We aren't anything special though. Just parents. What are you painting? nylene, glad you're doing better, but you still need to rest to fully beat this bug! Congrats on being feautred at SB.com. @scapincin, you have been busy with the grands. nylene & scrapincin, thanks for the good wishes to get in. justjac, love seeing your LOAD layouts on flickr or on instagram. Great stories are being told! Is school almost over? grammadee, hugs to you this weekend. I hope you had good traveling weather and that your family has peace and comfort. waving hi to msliz and maribeth. This weekend has been garden central here. We have most of the garden planted. I got my bees yesterday!! I'm so excited! They seem to be taking to the hive well. Tomorrow we hope to finish the top of the chicken run with chicken wire. We still have 1/4 of the run. Maybe a 15x60 run was a bit much..... Since the fence guys put up deer fencing last year around the garden we have to go back and put up chicken wire around it to keep the bunnies out too. Crafting wise, I just cleaned up my desk a bit and compiled things that I'll be using for my banner swaps.

Hi Pokeys, just a quiet weekend at home for me. I might go to the town parade tomorrow if the rain stays away, but we have no other big plans. My eyes are shot from editing photos for most of the day. nylene , home-from-college girl is doing much better now that her friends are home too. Thanks for asking! No luck with the job search yet though. Congratulations on your layout! grammadee and scrapincin , I'm glad you both can stay home and be crafty for a few days. It seems like you're always so busy! LisaDV , I'm glad they're willing to refer you to Mayo. They're the best. I've wanted to send DD there ever since her cardiologist recommended it 2 years ago, but the POTS testing is more than DD thinks she can handle. I hope they can see you over the summer. Waving hi back to everyone!

msliz, is it the tilt table test that has her worried? can you sell it like an amusement ride? just kidding. I know that doesn't work. My dd has a test that she couldn't complete (they were blowing air in her ears to check for inner ear trouble for her motion sickness. She has this phobia about things in her ears and couldn't get through it. So I get it. I'm glad you are getting a quiet weekend. Enjoy!

She has this phobia about things in her ears and couldn't get through it. So I get it. I'm glad you are getting a quiet weekend. Enjoy! Oh, it's all of the tests. She failed the "poor-man's TTT" in the cardiologist's office, and that was plenty for her. She's also seen videos about the temperature regulation tests, etc. and just all of them together are pretty unappealing. And for what? The tests likely won't tell us anything we don't already know, and the treatment options are all guesswork anyway. What it would do is give us an unarguable diagnosis that we could take to apply for Medicare. Money issues scare her more than the tests, so that may be what ultimately gets her there. It was a nice quiet weekend, and I did enjoy it, but I spent so much time editing photos that my eyes are giving me problems. I need to get outside and stretch my eyes, LOL. But, I have a year's worth of photos cropped and sized, and the LOs are roughly planned (as far as which photos for which pages), so I just need to go back over them and adjust the lighting on some of them. And then I can order! I go through Walgreens, and they're having a sale 40% off all size prints until tomorrow night. I'm looking forward to hitting send and being done with it!

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all had a nice weekend! It was my birthday yesterday. I turned the BIG 5-0! I can't believe I am 50 but at the same time so happy and grateful to reach this milestone. I had a great day celebrating with my in-laws, great party food and of course cake. My dh did a great job planning the party for me with a little help from me. LOL! Then, we hung out at our beautiful golf course to relax. I have some scrapping to do with the lovely pictures we took too. LisaDV- You asked what I was painting. Well, I decided to get my art pad out and start playing around with it. I finished one that I will share and hope to do more this week. grammadee- I hope you are having a nice trip! scrapincin- Yes, the Cavs are on their way. I will be watching the finals this week. If Lebron and team win again, I think your city will be going so crazy happy. nylene- Hope you are continuing to feel better. Have your dd and family come to visit yet? I know that will be great medicine for you too.

Happy Tuesday, everyone! Today was a day for errands and wrapping up some loose ends. Had my hair cut this morning, picked up my month's meds, and paid my Visa bill (which pays most of my other monthly bills). Came home and wrapped up dgs's album and completed his grad card. I had done the front of it earlier, but needed to finish the inside. Then I decided I had better make a card for his escort who has been his girlfriend for about a year. Here is HIS card. Hers is quite a bit simpler and I didn't take a photo before I sealed it into her envelope. Grad card 1 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Now gift and cards are ready to go into the vehicle. We will be leaving for Calgary on Thursday. Tomorrow my plan is to clean the SUV. Washed it while I was in town today, so I can show my face in the city with it. Dh will be coming with me and since I usually use the front seat as a combination office, purse, occasional coat rack and snack bar, I need to make room for a front seat passenger. I also still have my winter boots and mitts and coat in the back, so I think since Thursday is June 1st it should be safe to leave those at home now. Happy belated birthday, kellyr21 ! I hope you had a wonderful day! And I am glad you are having fun getting back into art again. Looking forward to seeing your creations. LisaDV and msliz , I hope your girls will be able to get into the Mayo Clinic, that the tests they need to take will not be too demanding, and that the results reveal treatments that will work for them. June is almost here, and if you are interested in taking a photo a day, please joint LisaDV, justjac and myself in the Phota A Day Challenge

Happy Belated Birthday to Our Dear Kelly!I am sorry that we missed you. I try to check the b-day list each day, but things have been crazy here. Because I haven't felt well, we haven't done anything with flowers or tomatoes. So on Memorial Day we did the buying and the planting. I am trying to get things together for Cousin Camp in 2 weeks. Sammie called again yesterday to ask if I could make "fox" invitations and mail to each of the cousins. (Our theme is Animals) So today I have been working on some cute little cards listing the things they need to bring. She again went over the agenda and added a few activities. Oh, my. She is so much fun! msliz , I am sorry your DD is going through medical issues too. I hope something shows up that can be fixed if she goes through the tests. LisaDV , your chicken run sounds great. But I can't believe that you don't want to share your produce with the bunnies! LOL kellyr21, I am excited to see your art. You are so adventurous in that field. grammadee , I am glad that the family could get together with your brother's wife and share memories. I'm sure it was very comforting to her. I wish I lived close enough to you to join in on your "die lending library". She's lucky to have you near! scrapincin , I'm sure you are busy. How is Bob feeling? Any more dizzy spells? Thanks for alerting me to my layout at SB.com. I didn't even think to check it out until I got your email. maribeth , how was the weekend of scrafting? I hope you accomplished a lot and enjoyed yourself away from work. justjac , how do you keep up with all the scrapping you do. You must be such a fast scrapper. A photo a day sounds like fun, but I know I could never keep up. Another month has come and almost gone. It doesn't seem possible. I will start a new thread tomorrow night or Thurs. morning. Have a great week all you sweet Pokeys.

Here it is theend of another month! Time is flying! Kids are out of school and they are here 3 days a week. Had them today and it was so different/! They both have made friends here and they have things to do besides what I get them to do. Maggie rode her bike to one of her girl friends and Bobby tried but could not reach his one friend and did not have anthers number. And they did not hang on those computers all day! Hurray! Belated Birthday Wishes kellyr21 ! I sure never would have thought you were 50! I thought you were in your 30's! It sounds like you had a great birthday with all the plans Ron made. nylene-so glad you are on the mend! It cracks me up how Sammie is so organized and planning Cousin Camp. What a riot. Can you see howshe will be as an adult! grammadee-I signed up for yur challenge in hopes taking al those photos will get me moving! It is so much easier for me if the photos are printed and ready to go. I need to do that. It's just all that editing! msliz thank you for all f your tagging on mmy comments and posts. Hello Pokeys nylene I had a wonderful scrafting weekend!!!! msliz - sorry no beautiful boxes, just lots of pages that needed to get done. Planning on taking photos at lunch (for the light) and should get to post them tomorrow morning. Sunday was spent washing the car, and then I was too pooped to scrap, but I worked on my jigsaw puzzle that I purchased back on National Jigsaw Puzzle day, and made great progress, I should be done the next time I have time to sit and work on it. Monday I did a couple of pages, but then spent the rest of the day organizing the scraft room. I make a real mess when I scraft, and I do try to put it back in good order so the next time I have a chance to scraft it is ready to go. grammadee - great grad card! Love it. Great pages (2-wheels) loving all the blue you are using right now. kellyr21 - happy belated birthday! I am with scrapincin, I thought you were in your 30's as well justjac - loving your train pages - I am a HUGE fan of trains, so wish I lived by a train track so I could hear the rumble and the whistle. Happy last day of May! It just doesn't seem possible. msliz, hugs and prayers for your dd. I totally get it. Did I read that right? You did a whole years worth of photo editing at once? My hat is off to you. Oh, heck, that deserve a bow. I usually only do a few months at a time and that's a struggle for me. But I bet it feels great to have a whole years worth ready to go. kellyr21, Happy Birthday! I can not believe you are 50. You look so young. You have some good genetics! Can't wait to see what you've created! They are always so beautiful! grammadee, safe travels. I know it will be so much fun. nylene, I hope you took a picture of the fox cards to share with us. I hope you are all better before cousin camp begins! scrapincin, that's good that the kids made friends close by. That they were off their computers - well, that's A-Mazing! I feel like I'm the Screen Nazi. They get 2 hours of non-school related screen time a day. If dd is feeling well, she barely takes any and is no problem. When she's ill, it's all she does but distracts from the nausea and pain, so we let her. DS on the other hand, would be on a screen or double screening all the live long day if I didn't have my rules and my stink eye. Today we have a few errands to run. DS's glass keeps popping out of his glasses, and we've managed a bit of a mangle to the frames by popping them back in repeatedly. So the eye doctor will be first up to get them situated. Then, DD who has not been doing well the last few days, has her after the neurologist follow-up with her PCP. I have many more errands to run, but I will have to do that tomorrow morning by myself. I'm trying to do WITL this week. I usually am fairly good about pictures the first couple of days and then fall off to nothing. I'm doing better this week, and maybe, just maybe, I'll make the whole week, especially with grammadee's, photo a day challenge. I'm just taking photos and keeping a few notes. Hope to put the album together next week.
