I haven't seen a thread about this - but you know what started this and caused his twitter attack?
Trump (well probably not him personally but someone in his business) created fake Time covers featuring Trump LINK
These "fake news" Time covers hang framed in 5 of Trumps golf resorts and when the news came out a few days ago, a spokesperson for Time has asked that those fake covers be removed.
It was apparently after they discussed that on Morning Joe with Mika saying:
that he released his twitter rage.
So Trump happily has fake Time covers of himself hanging at several of his golf resorts, but then gets all bent out of shape when he gets called out on it.
It makes me wonder if he realized that they were fake covers. He claimed in the past that he had been on the cover 15 times, which was not true. Maybe making the fake covers was a way for someone in his camp to stroke Trump's ego, but wasn't Trump's idea. He is lashing out at Mika and Joe rather than admitting to himself that the covers are fake. Hearing them talk negatively about it hit him even harder because in the past he felt so proud of being on those covers. This is definitely not a good situation for a narcissist. Maybe I'm showing my age. There used to be vendors who made fake covers of all sorts of magazines. They were sold at amusement parks, state fairs etc. I could see someone. Among them as a gag gift and a sheltered egotist like Trunp thought they were real. Yeah, not middle school behavior. The students would have ISS for bullying and their parents would take their phones. |

The majority of Time covers featuring Trump are definitely NOT flattering - he says himself he's on the cover "not because they like me"
You think that even he believes Time magazine care about The Apprentice?
If that was the cover of TV Soap, then he might be excused for being fooled, but Time magazine?
No way...he knows those are fake and he kept them on display deliberately to mislead people.
If Trump was fooled by that Time cover, then he'll be very impressed to find out about the time my kitty was on the cover of that health magazine:

It makes me wonder if he realized that they were fake covers. He claimed in the past that he had been on the cover 15 times, which was not true. Oh he knows all right. He's too much of a narcissist to not know how often he has been on the cover, and exactly what those covers are and I'm also sure he knows that Time don't do cover headlines with exclamation points at the end. Those "!" at the end are a Trump trademark, so I'm not going to buy into that he had nothing to do with this or no knowledge of it. In addition most of the real Trump covers are not flattering to him at all, they have headlines such a 'bully', 'meltdown' & 'turn you off' next to his name, or show his hair flying away, there's the one that makes him look like Hitler and there's two of the back of his head. A nicely posed photo with lavish praise for Trump and his TV show? No way. Trump knows for a fact that isn't real. His previous lie about being on the cover was claiming that he held the "all time record for being on the cover the most" but it's his 14 to Nixon's 55 times...a long long way off the "all time record" And if he didn't know, surely any normal person would be embarrassed and have them removed very quickly and issue a statement - but no, Trump tweets a nasty attack on the hosts of a TV show (that he doesn't watch of course) minutes after they made fun of him about it. he knew they were fake and he knew they were hanging in his golf resorts, that's just one reason he's always banging on about "fake news" because he creates his own all the time. Just another thing they have in common heehee |

Classy man that President. My dd told me to go follow Pete Souza. It's hard though....seeing those photos of President Obama makes me sad.  I miss the Obamas a lot! I was never an Obama 'fan' but I seriously miss them. Maybe I just miss normal. I'm still kind of mad at Obama though, after 8 years he really didn't try very hard to become that dictator that was 'promised' ( fear mongered ) Dude, that was a big fail there at that dictator thing. Many of Trump's supporters feel similarly. Diplomacy, intelligence and civility are signs of weakness and elitism. I can't help but wonder when diplomacy, intelligence, and civility became negative characteristics. Scratching my head on that one. Oh, quite some time ago... For instance, way back in 2015 when those on the "Left" demonized anyone who wanted the same thing they did, but saw a different way to accomplish it.mzza111 wishing another Pea be put in a deadly situation where she was sure she won't come out of, unscathed and more than a dozen Peas agreeing with her.Back in 2016 the Left calling anyone who doesn't follow the group think "fucking morons" and the dozenS more threads echoing that since then and up until just days ago.

 and this book is written by someone on the Left. All the labels spewed at those who disagree with any of the Left's version of "the only correct answer". We've seen it time and time again. Eventually they all boil down to "you're a RACIST, SEXIST, BROWN PEOPLE HATING, XENOPHOBIC, MYSOGYNISTIC, HOMOPHOBE,", topped off with such predictable accusations of " you're frothing", "tit for tat", "I don't like your source" as well as the never ending list of ways to personally attack those that won't bend to "your" way of thinking. |

Trump's behavior is humiliating for Trump, humiliating for the office of the Presidency, and humiliating for America's standing as a country. (he also talks a bit about another 'h' word in regards to the Republican congress: hypocrisy.) ETA: in regards to my question,@mytnice, I guess you discuss the actual topic SO INFREQUENTLY that I don't ever remember you doing so., any more. All you seem to do now is trot out the same, old, tired rhetoric of 'but look here, they did X, Y, or Z years and years ago...' Which is NOT discussing the topic of the thread. To be honest, I've had you blocked now for quite a while. I used to think you actually contributed to the topics being discussed, but the 'gotcha' stuff gets so tiresome to read-- and personally I don't think it does anything to actually contribute to the discussions- that I don't read your posts anymore. Every once in a while (like this time) I will click on your post to read it, just to see if you might have something to talk about other than the same old stuff. But usually I'm disappointed, so I really don't bother most of the time. I wanted to know exactly when it was that diplomacy, intelligence, and civility became negative characteristics (particularly in the US.)
In my mind, these are all good descriptors. I don't understand why anyone would use them as insults or use them to describe someone as elite or out of touch.
None of those terms should refer to someone who is "out of touch." They should describe most (and ideally all) people.
I don't care who is saying them as insults--left, right, up, down, or sideways--I still scratch my head as to when these became negative traits.
