Well my DD is finally supposed to arrive today. Yay! My story/stamp kits however, are not not scheduled to arrive until next wednesday, 10/25. I purchased several add-ons, so my thought that the add-ons were the tipping point for the better shipping was just proven wrong. The couple of months of nice and quick shipping appears to be over.

Same issue here with kit shipping. I posted it on Ali's facebook group. Asking if others had slower shipping this month. Yesterday I got an email from CS saying that it depends on the weight of the package. So I got too many add-ons for quick shipping. So instead of 3 day USPS first class I got 10 day UPS Innovations

I'm in New York, so it really isn't that far from Bowling Green... typically it takes 4 business days: one day to get to a larger Kentucky hub, one day to get to Buffalo, one day to get to my local UPS and then a day to deliver. I'm not sure what's taking it so long this time.

Yesterday I got an email from CS saying that it depends on the weight of the package. So I got too many add-ons for quick shipping. So instead of 3 day USPS first class I got 10 day UPS Innovations CS's response is bunk. I don't believe their rationale. Prior to the add-on months, my kits were taking forever to get to me. Typically 10-12 days. Then AE started the add-ons and switched her packaging. For the first 2 months (maybe 3?) I purchased a variety of add-ons and received my kits in rapid time - within 2-3 days USPS priority, and with the nicer packaging. Last month I did zero add-ons, and was back to the regular padded mailer and turtle time shipping of 10 days or something. That is ridiculous to take that long to get from KY to CT. This month I added in the add-ons, only 2 I think - stars and circles, and it is still the UPS innovations and taking over a week to get to me. I think for $50 a month, essentially, it should be shipped much faster. A couple of packs of stickers do not add significant weight. Give me a break inked! SaveSave

I bought a few things from her fall release on 10/18. They were on my doorstep by 10/21. The fact that people are waiting for DD stuff ordered weeks ago is crazy. Something is going on.
FYI...the 3x8 fall paper pack is printed completely different then the typical papers or journaling cards. They look almost semi gloss or diy printed if that makes sense. The ink is on top the papers. I imagine I will need to use a slick writer or risk smudging.

I'm getting tired of slow shipping and things taking almost 2 weeks to get here. I ordered some pens with free shipping. It was supposed to take 2-4 weeks. They shipped from Korea and were in my hands three days later with free shipping. Amazing. I can't even get something 100 miles to me in that time frame unless it's Amazon these days. I order leggings that get shipped from my city. They are located across the street from the main post office in our city but get shipped two counties away before making their way to me 3 miles away from where they started.
I am getting frustrated with most things coming by mail these days. You used to be able to shop online and get stuff somewhat quickly now most things take 10-14 days vs the 5-7 days and brick and mortar stores seem to carry less and less so you have no choice but to order online. I figure it's going to get even worse with holiday shopping so I guess we need to plan on things taking 2-3 weeks I feel like we are going backwards 20-30 years.

So, I ordered the Pink Paislee mini set and stamp (cause I LOVE all things Liz T) and love the quality. The cards are a lot nicer and are closer in weight to the KP kits. Nevertheless, when I opened the kit box my initial thought was "WTH is the rest of my kit?" Thin is clearly in ... transparencies, chipboard, rubber word pieces. I couldn't believe how flat everything was. Please tell me I'm not the only one who felt this way.

Which I could do myself.

Maybe the card is for an ironic picture. One of Santa Clause? I'm sure that soon after it's brought to their attention, everyone will get the corrected digital version in their account. Which is awesome, considering that subscribers pay to receive the physical kit, because they don't want to have to print their own. Dang, Inked and AE...get it together...an ounce of prevention...

I can’t handle the damn handslappers. The “everyday life at it’s finest” error was brought up on the Craft The Story FB group and these are two comments on it.

If I paid for a product it should be correct. Not saying that's more important than medical concerns, or war, or starving children, but seriously! Ugh.
But I knew that would happen when I posted the photo. I really just wanted to share it there to get Ali's attention... if you start a convo about something like that it's hit or miss if Inked people intercept and tell you to suck it up with Ali's knowledge. At least this way she will do something to fix it, even if it is only a digital card (which btw I already have, although I'm assuming incorrect, since I sub to both kits--but that I can easily fix in photoshop).
ETA: I really want to edit my facebook post to tell handslappers to go away, but I don't want to get into facebook drama. Ugh.

Does anyone get the feeling that these hand slappers are a bunch of snowflakes?
Apparently they haven't been around long enough to see these kind of mistakes happen time and time and time and time again.

I also get the feeling that lots of them look at Ali and other craft "celebs" as a real celebrity instead of a business. So they don't think of us as paying customers who deserve what we paid for, but instead as people who should be grateful to get the chance to use their products/learn from them.
I just wish that someone they interact with in their everyday life could turn the tables on them... "oh you paid me to change the oil in your car and I just added some without actually changing it? It's not like it's a brain tumor or something, just be thankful I graced you with my presence and pay your bill." "oh you ordered the fish and I brought the chicken instead? It's not like you're starving, be grateful you have the opportunity to pay to eat in my restaurant." "Oh you wanted me to dye your hair blonde and I dyed it pink? Be grateful you have the ability to go to a salon at all, don't forget to tip!"

I commented - I get that she is worried about her daughter (or whoever is sick, I don't think she specified who it was), but that doesn't invalidate your feelings. This wasn't a freebie and you have every right to be disappointed when a product you've paid for is incorrect. SaveSave

Exactly. It’s okay to be disappointed in an error on a product you paid money for. That doesn’t mean that you don’t care about other things as well. It’s not an either/or situation. “I’m irritated that a company I give my money to delivers products with errors, therefore I’m a horrible person because I’m not putting my energy into being upset about sick children.”
