I totally don't need more stuff in my stash, but I couldn't pass up a few of the kits. I really need to put myself in the freezer. LOL!!

I put that stories by the year kit in my cart, but just can't pull the trigger, even for $10. I think it's too much of Ali's handwriting for me to handle layout after layout.

I‘m sad I missed the first OLW 23 - the only one I badly wanted.

There were a couple of kits I wouldn't have minded having, but shipping was $13 for two little kits, so no.
I'm watching Ali's Halloween videos this evening while I scrap and she's absolutely racing through parts of these videos and talking a mile a minute. It's giving me anxiety. She has loads of great photos, though, and like always, she's killing it with the design.

Put a couple of kits in my cart, went to check out, saw the shipping, and closed the website. No thanks😂👎🏻

No, I don't think so (but maybe), but I realized that part of the issue was that I watched out of order. I started with 4, which was racy and hard to follow, but once I went back to part 1 I got my bearings.

The first video of the two embellishment videos she was talking more quickly than she normally does. But I actually enjoy that in a video. There were a couple of the other playing posts they did with other team members (earlier this year, the pre-DD fun stuff like Pam and Jill) and I had to watch them on 2X speed. I found it really helpful to watch her think these things out. I just don't think I do such a good job with simple clusters. My pages are either too simple or like over the top. I'd like to find a happy medium. Like watching her move an embellishment around and place it. Probably boring for some people but there were times when I would have stuck it at the bottom but she covered up the middle and it really worked. Gives me a little push to try out similar things.

I loved watching her thought process, too! I usually go page by page, finish one before moving on. The way she figured out her structure was really great, I learned some things. And even making a shaker out of a tag is something I’m going to definitely copy. All the embellishments were just enough, something I struggle with.

I have a new love for Story Kits, even started a subscription. I don’t know why it never occurred to me to go through the class contents, duh. I’m a little sad Krystal is no longer doing her crush series. I do love Linda’s planning. Is there anyone else I should be watching for story crush or planning? I’m more interested in the 6x8 story album process vs project life.

I picked up my AE $10 kit sale order from the post office yesterday, and I'm glad I used the coupon code so they were $8 each.
I did an initial cull of the kits, and I have a sizeable pile of stuff to sell or donate. I keep all of her cards, as even if I don't like the design, it is a nice weight that I can use as a base to create my own cards.
I got the "Seek" story kit, and I am glad I quit that sub a while back! It felt so thin.
I did go through everything and pull out the yellow and green accents. I don't scrap yellow hardly ever, but I went to my college reunion this past weekend, and our colors are green and gold, so the timing is perfect.

Ali’s answering questions on her insta stories right now and someone asked a similar version of the question I asked - if there would be changes to the SBTM for next year. The question also asked about stamp quality. Ali said there were changes coming - I think she said big changes- but she wasn’t ready to reveal yet and would in about a month, but she stated many of us would be really happy. I’m looking forward to hearing - right now I have story kit and SBTM subs but I have too much product so plan to drop one sub next year. I’d prefer to keep SBTM but not in its current iteration so we will see. Best case scenario for me would be making the papers more user friendly for PP - right now the directed story page is annoying as is the 3x8 monthly card that doesn’t cut down - and of course the stamp is trash. I’d vote for increased papers that are more suitable for PP - more just solid patterns- and doing away with the stamp altogether. I rarely used them even when they were good. If she keeps the stamp is HAS to be the better quality or I’m out.

The stamps get trashed.

I’m excited to see what changes they will make but I’m still hoping to have a sub free year in 2024. We’ll see. I love stamps so I’m mixed on whether or not it should be eliminated but the quality definitely has to change. I need more cards! I found the large papers more difficult to use as well.

I LOVE the SBTM this month. Last year’s Dec SBTM was dark and sort of dreary but I really like this one. Also looking forward to hearing about the changes for SBTM next year. I also like the comfort kit- both great kits for me this month. I also tossed in the Kraft tags for DD and I have the vellum stars- I’m not sure I like them that much but they are only 2.99 and I’ll probably have FOMO if I don’t get them.
ETA: ohhh. I also really like the daily scrapbook kit - great for PL and week in the life. Ugh. I don’t want to subscribe - the scrapbook kit is so overpriced IMO. I’d buy this one for that price but not into committed to three more overpriced kits I probably won’t like as much. It’s kind of obnoxious the other theme we won’t be shared until next year- we are supposed to commit to not only sight unseen kits but also theme unknown? That’s a no from me.

The SBTM kit is nice. The colors are great. Not wild about the Comfort kit. Those bright colors don’t scream comfort to me. The people hugging on the stamp is strange to me. Would’ve preferred a steaming mug or slippers or something. Wish I could’ve skipped this month but I skipped last month.
The scrapbook kit is great. Not getting it but would consider picking it up in a sale.

I love the SBTM kit this month too. So much so that I started a new sub! It's been a while since I had any kind of subscription from Ali.
Question for current subbers - it says that I can add to my box until midnight on the 11th and that whatever is in my box on the 12th will be charged. There's no other checkout? I added the vellum stars to my box. How do I know I have them? Or do I need to wait until the 12th to know for sure that they are in stock and will be shipped to me? TIA

I really like the SBTM kit, too (especially the vellum). Most of it would work well for DD.🎄

From a blog post: QUARTERLY SCRAPBOOK KIT | DAILY This month we are also releasing our last Quarterly Scrapbook Kit for 2023 with the theme of Daily. Our Quarterly Scrapbook Kit will return again next year with the themes of Alphabet, Frames, Punctuation, and Watercolors

I really want the daily kit but I cannot get on board with those themes! Alphabet is probably good- I love letters/type. But frames? No. I despise the frames that are included in kits and never use them so I certainly don’t want a whole over priced kit of them. And punctuation?? Like what? How is that a theme? And watercolor sounds like rainbow and not something I need. I guess I’ll just wait for the daily kit to be available as stand alone item and get it then - thanks for posting!

If you get this last quarterly kit of 2023, are you then committed to 2024 or how does that work?

If you get this last quarterly kit of 2023, are you then committed to 2024 or how does that work? I just opened up a "conversation" on the AE website. I'm interested, too, but I'm not sure how long the commitment lasts. It's a great, very usable kit, and one I can see myself using for Week in the Life. I'll let you know what they tell me.
