Me too! I was still waffling but looked at the kit again and decided if I fail at WITL, I can use it to document a travel week coming up for us. I think in days anyway for travel and we’ll be in a few different cities. It’s just too good not to have!

I bought a lot. I don’t like the last two WITL releases and I do like a lot of this so I went for it. I think it’s usable for me in WITL (this year anbd using pieces in other years as needed) and project life. I got: B&w album Main kit Mini kit bundle- I was getting mini kit anyway and journal was only $5 and I love it. I can see using it as my WITL project another year week transparencies Half circle page pack Pleather days of the week

I hated last two years’ kits and liked most of this year’s main kit component, so I got the main kit and album. I’m excited about trying to do this project again.

I know that WITL tends to not sell out right away...yet every year I feel I have to be ready right at release time.
I ended up with the 6x8 album, main kit, mini kit with journal (because why not for $5), the small banners and the vellum pages. I know it's more than I need but I liked parts of each kit enough to just get both.
I wish I could swap the pleather circles for the multi-colored days in the main kit. I almost wish I liked/wanted/needed the stamps because then I would have gone with the buy all option and saved the 10x8 for DD.

I haven’t done a WITL but I always hear that it’s everyone’s favorite project to look back at. The bright colors against the black would be inspiring, but I just don’t know how different my M-F looks from day to day since I WFH. Does anyone else run into that issue or have any advice? I used to think that I didn't have enough to cover since I work from home and have older kids but looking at the last 3 albums (all of which were since I've worked from home), I'm shocked at how much difference there is in our life over those 3 years - sometimes little things change like the foods we're eating, shows we're watching, etc. and sometimes big things change like getting a new cat unexpectedly. And I document all the little details, my routines, the work I'm doing, our yard, our animals, etc. I actually end up having to cut a bunch of stuff from the project every year because I capture so many details! I just do a lot of planning and thinking about what to capture and set myself up for success with pre-planning! But, you'll be surprised how much changes year to year even if you think it doesn't!

I was able to grab what I wanted: main kit, 6x8 album, mini kit, vellum sheets and some 3x8 pp. I'm excited for this project, it's usually a great boost to take more photos. Thinking about using prompts for each day but not sure.

I did the math and ended up buying the Buy It All since that worked out to give me everything I wanted plus the 10x8 album (which I'll use for something else), the glass can thing, a mug, and the notebook for just maybe 10 dollars more than I would have paid otherwise. Just made sense to do that! And I can use all of it for WITL or other projects since they are pretty good every day documenting products. I'm excited!

Thank you! Yes, I’ve been watching different YouTubers to see how they’ve documented in the past to get ideas. We are empty nesters, both WFH, but we have a great life and that, by itself, is worth documenting, IMO. I agree that some preplanning will be the best way to be successful. Even just thinking about photos I want to capture, taking some ideas from the YT videos and making a list.

Ugh. I haven't bought any of the WITL kit. I found last years kit in my stash and cant bring myself to buy another kit knowing this one is sitting there, unused. Thats not to say I might change my mind later but for today, I am not buying anything.

I couldn't buy either kit just because I wanted a couple of things in them.
I got all the add-ons: the transparent dividers, the circles, the banners, the vellum papers, and the half circles. I feel like they're things I will use a lot if I don't use them for this project. I will definitely use the dividers and the circles. It's the rest that I can use anywhere.
I think it will be fun documenting the week.
And I bought the digital daily scrapbook kit when they were having sale on digitals so I'll use that.
Super easy process. They've really got the release thing down.

I bought the following from the witl release: - main kit - scrapbook daily kit - half circle inserts - pleather circles - transparency dividers
Whilst I was happy to not get the main witl kit and wait for it to go on sale if it doesn’t sell out, if I went over $75 I get $20 capped shipping… so I then added 4 of the linen 6x8 albums to my total and got a further $10 off as they were in the spend $50 save $10 deal.
Shipping for those albums alone for me is $70-$80 so in a way I almost got all the witl items for free… anyone else following this girl maths logic?
I can always break up the kit and sell what I don’t need as well.
Now off to eat beans on toast for a month to pay for my purchases 😂

I got over my ambivalence. 😅
This morning I was able to watch all Ali’s instagram stories from yesterday, which really put me in a wistful emotional state full of gratitude for this hobby. After looking through all the products again I realized I really do like most of the collection, I just don’t care for all of it all used all at once together. It’s just too much for me. But I can see getting use from the product if also incorporated into my other projects.
Sooo, I got the main kit, mini kit, vellum pages, plastic banner flags.
I was surprised the main kit is only $30. That’s less than a SC Documenter Kit, but has a lot more stuff with a variety of materials. I really love the plastic days of the week pieces, the multicolored ones rimmed in gold.

I'm not sure if I like the font yet. I think it's one of those styles that my eyes need to get used to, with the six different weights. I'm a little sad that the latest alpha set (#12) sold out since it was included under the WITL category. Now I don't have enough in my cart to meet the $75 threshold. I probably should have added it to my SBTM sub when I had the chance. I need to keep reminding myself that I tend to complete smaller, chronological projects digitally. I have the Daily Kit, and I now have a Silhouette, so I can print and cut the embellishments. Ali was also quite generous with the digitals provided in the last WITL Prep Day, so I need to remember to use those.

I don’t really care for it. I definitely prefer more polished fonts. Especially if it’s printed on something that will also contain my handwriting, which is a little messy, because then it just looks overall very messy to me and not balanced.

This week in the life release has me thinking. I do a chronological scrapbooking mash up of project life. Pockets, daily life meets events and vacations with no defined weeks, or even sometimes months. I do DD (but usually only buy “some of” Ali’s DD supplies, and I buy “some” of a lot of Ali other project supplies. Travel kits an albums are my jam. I have never done a dedicated week in the life, day in the life. I DO buy some or alot of the supplies for these projects, digest the inspiration, and add inserts or pages or sections to my travel albums and “project life.”
The WITH kit isn’t all that great to me (I don’t care for the font and the amount of black.. but I’m loving Ali’s brighter colors this year.) but I LOVE items themselves, and I’m feeling like I may actually want to dive into a week in the life. Our family just did a huge year of disruption (in a good way) and I feel like maybe I want to capture that. At the very least to do like I always do and take the inspiration and put it in my projects. The problem is the font and colors just aren’t going to mesh well I don’t think, so I’m considering doing a stand alone project.
Also, I have a huge bucket list trip coming up this winter- and I’m very tempted to order two mains and a mini and use it for the trip album.
Part of me says get the digitals and modify modify (which I often do! Especially when I translate a Ali project kit to my 9x12 pl album.)
But i do love interactive and dimensional items in my 6x8’s (travel albums.. it’ll easily be two 6x8’s…)
Should I buy none because it isn’t something I’ll use? Buy one? Which isn’t enough for my trip (over two weeks) buy one and try to do WITL? I am very much a retrospective scrapper, although I’m usually pretty caught up and like to capture in the moment things.
I have $185 worth of this crap in my cart… and I’m not sure I love it or how I’ll use it.
Wow, this was a lot.. lol scrollllll by!

If you do use digitals, I would recommend getting only one of the WITL main kits and the digital kit. Take a hard look at the stuff you can't actually print from the kit and see if you really need it all. The digitals will likely go on sale before your big trip this year.

For me, I would get the digitals for the main kit since you already are leaning to digital so you can recolor. The pockets that are in the kit wont fit in a 3x4 pocket (I've seen on Instagram, I think) and everything else is easily printed.

FuzzyMutt, I mainly do chronological scrapbooking, although I don't do Project Life because it seems stressful. I've been scrapbooking since 1998, but I did my first WITL album in 2022, just to see what all the fuss was about. I bought the physical mini kit that year and the digital main kit. I loved the whole process. I really didn't need a whole lot of supplies, especially since the photos and documenting were the focus. I had such a sense of accomplishment when I finished, and I did another album in 2023. I don't think I bought any physical supplies last year. I was surprised at how meaningful this project was for me, especially the addition of "trivial" things like taking my dog out for a walk. We lost our beloved Molly last year, so I'm glad I have documentation of what it was like to have her as part of our day-to-day. I'm not sure what I'll do this year. I am having some health problems and will most likely have surgery around the time Ali does WITL. I may just take photos and journal in my Day One app that week, with no pressure to scrapbook. The Daily Kit is, in my opinion, so much better than any of the designated WITL supplies. We all have different tastes, but I just don't like this year's offerings. I really liked the 2022 kit, and luckily I can reuse many of the digital elements. I think digital is the way to go, at least for me...maybe for you as well?

Thank you for the thoughts and ideas mom and blemon .. I definitely think the digitals will go on sale between now and then. The way Ali is doing mad sales, I may get lucky there. I picked up several of the 2023 mini kits for like $10 a couple months ago. There will also be a travel collection, I would think lol I think I will pass for now. The more I think about it- the more I think it's silly to buy a bunch of the physical products (me, not anyone else..) when I don't like it alot. I like the concept of alot of the newer pieces, but I'm not sure how far I want to go with the project or font. As formulaic as Ali is, my guess is that some version of this stuff will make it's way into a travel collection. I could easily modify the WITL templates (that aren't out yet) and the digitals to fit more of a travel theme when the time comes- if I want to. Thank you guys for talking me down off a ledge Going to empty my card so I don't accidentally buy a bunch of stuff!! mom- the vellum pocket envelope things in the main don't fit in a pocket?

Your experience with WITL is exactly why I'm finding it appealing, it seems to be a project that is so meaningful. I'm super sorry for the loss of your Molly. My girl has had 12 Gotcha Days so far, and she was a young adult when I found her. My son is 22 and working as a plumber's apprentice and still living at home. That's going to (sadly) end some time in the relatively near future I'm sure. There are so many things that in PL are "ongoing" "ongoing" but I do see the appeal and serious value of an in-depth snapshot. I'm glad you mentioned your light product usage. I tend to be very photo heavy and wordy (bet no one could guess!) That's part of why I rarely buy a DD kit or what not (also I like PaperPerson aesthetic for almost all things, especially DD, better.) I use the embellishments but not many of the cards, and very very few papers. Ali seems to have decided to brighten up her palate though, and I am HERE for it! I went back after mom mentioned how printable most things are. I think I can do that, and watch for a sale on the kit so I can add the physical embellishments at some point maybe. I actually LOVE the Daily Kit, but I don't want to subscribe to a years worth of them, I wish those could be bought at release as a one off. I will likely buy the digital if for nothing else than the colors.

I will likely buy the digital if for nothing else than the colors. I could be wrong, but I think you can buy it now without making a commitment. It's listed under the WITL products, and it's the previous quarter's kit. I'm pretty sure you would get the digitals along with the physical kit for $39.99. If you want the digitals only, it's $14.49.
