FuzzyMutt , I mainly do chronological scrapbooking, although I don't do Project Life because it seems stressful. I've been scrapbooking since 1998, but I did my first WITL album in 2022, just to see what all the fuss was about. I bought the physical mini kit that year and the digital main kit. I loved the whole process. I really didn't need a whole lot of supplies, especially since the photos and documenting were the focus. I had such a sense of accomplishment when I finished, and I did another album in 2023. I don't think I bought any physical supplies last year. I was surprised at how meaningful this project was for me, especially the addition of "trivial" things like taking my dog out for a walk. We lost our beloved Molly last year, so I'm glad I have documentation of what it was like to have her as part of our day-to-day. I'm not sure what I'll do this year. I am having some health problems and will most likely have surgery around the time Ali does WITL. I may just take photos and journal in my Day One app that week, with no pressure to scrapbook. The Daily Kit is, in my opinion, so much better than any of the designated WITL supplies. We all have different tastes, but I just don't like this year's offerings. I really liked the 2022 kit, and luckily I can reuse many of the digital elements. I think digital is the way to go, at least for me...maybe for you as well? Thank you for your thoughtful response. Your experience with WITL is exactly why I'm finding it appealing, it seems to be a project that is so meaningful. I'm super sorry for the loss of your Molly. My girl has had 12 Gotcha Days so far, and she was a young adult when I found her. My son is 22 and working as a plumber's apprentice and still living at home. That's going to (sadly) end some time in the relatively near future I'm sure. There are so many things that in PL are "ongoing" "ongoing" but I do see the appeal and serious value of an in-depth snapshot. I'm glad you mentioned your light product usage. I tend to be very photo heavy and wordy (bet no one could guess!) That's part of why I rarely buy a DD kit or what not (also I like PaperPerson aesthetic for almost all things, especially DD, better.) I use the embellishments but not many of the cards, and very very few papers. Ali seems to have decided to brighten up her palate though, and I am HERE for it! I went back after mom mentioned how printable most things are. I think I can do that, and watch for a sale on the kit so I can add the physical embellishments at some point maybe. I actually LOVE the Daily Kit, but I don't want to subscribe to a years worth of them, I wish those could be bought at release as a one off. I will likely buy the digital if for nothing else than the colors. The daily kit was available in the shop as a one time buy now- it includes the digital and physical kit. I don’t know if it’s there now, probably at the first of the month they will also have the daily kit as digital only, too. I really like this kit as well and have it- my plan was to use it for WITL until I saw the offerings third year and really liked them. I’ll use the daily kit to supplement it and for other projects. ETA: the daily digital kit is available right now in the shop- $14.49.

I will likely buy the digital if for nothing else than the colors. I could be wrong, but I think you can buy it now without making a commitment. It's listed under the WITL products, and it's the previous quarter's kit. I'm pretty sure you would get the digitals along with the physical kit for $39.99. If you want the digitals only, it's $14.49. If you buy the “scrapbook kit - daily” currently listed on the ae site and also in the week in the life menu for $34.99: 1. You are not signed up for the ongoing subscription 2. You are getting the physical kit only 3. You can buy the digital kit for $14.99 in addition to and/or instead of the physical kit

I totally missed that the kit is $34.99 and does not include the digitals.

I totally missed that the kit is $34.99 and does not include the digitals. Ugh! Don't tempt me. I already bought the digitals but I like the kit. I'm going to go see if I *need* anything that I can't print. I remember big numbers but I already have a lot of numbers.

I received a shipping notice for WITL order. Excited to see this IRL and start documenting. I found Linda and Krystal’s previous YT videos on their projects very helpful to wrap my head around what I want to capture and the formula of each day.

I got a shipping notice for another purchase but NOT for my WITL product. Weird. Apparently it's arriving today which is amazing but not sure why a notice never went out to me.

Did you get yours? What did you think of it in person? I only got add-ons and I'm really happy with them. Nothing came out of the plastic but I love the colors. I did a mystery sticker and it's WITL so that's great. It is from a Paislee Press old WITL kit.

OK - my WITL order came a day early. I just went through everything and will share some observations. I bought the 6x8 album, main kit, mini kit bundle, die cut half circles, pleather circles and 2 sets of the plastic banners. Loving the album inside and out. The inside is a pressed foil dot which is a nice touch. Both kits look complete. Main kit - really loving everything in it and see it being a well utilized kit. Mini bundle, worth it to add the journal for $5 xtra and use it for capturing all of my journaling for the week. I like the vellum items and the 2x2 cards, but I can't imagine only getting the mini because it's really just embellishments (at least for my way of scrapbooking). die cut half circles nice quality and foil is pressed. Pleather circles will for sure get used. I like the banners - the white ones w color outline are more of a grunge effect vs pure white. I actually like this but it was not obvious from the photos. I got 2 sets because this feels like a very reusable item for me and possibly something I can use as a repeat for each day of WITL and then each day of a trip in the future.
Overall, happy with the order. The main kit is definitely a better $$ value than the mini, but I think together they will be perfect for capturing the week. Very excited.

Got my WITL box today and I like most of it. The colors work for me individually and when grouped all together like on the days of the week large plastic pieces. The only place I don't like the colors is on the 3x4 cards with "Mon", "Tue", etc because for me, some of the colors do not work together in groups of 2 or 3 (pink and dark green...yuck). I will probably separate everything by days before I document my week. I did not realize that when we buy the main kit we also get the digital files for the main kit (not the mini though), it's already in my account.
I still can't decide if I want to do the official AE week in April or if I should wait until mid-May when DS is home for summer break (especially since I got the You & Me mini kit.
Speaking of...LOVE the notebook! Totally worth the extra $5 to get it with the mini kit. The quality is amazing, but I'm also comparing it to printing a digital version of a different DD notebook from a couple of years ago. I might have to use it to document a 2nd week either during the summer or fall.
The packaging is weird--the envelopes for the main kit and mini kit were sealed stronger than some of the envelopes that were used to ship Story & Stamp kits a few years ago...like the one that wasn't taped so it opened up and lost all of the contents somewhere between KY and my house. The adhesive ruins part of one side because it will not come up without tearing.

I’m really happy with everything. This is my favorite WITL release in a number of years. The only thing I’m not super pleased with are the half circles, the paper is shiney, I prefer a matte finish.
The large plastic days of the week are my favorite, I might make them into shakers. They are so fun.
ETA - I’m one of the few people who doesn’t like matching colors for each day. I will mix it up where I can. The colors of the half circles are slightly off from the rest of the kit which is kind of annoying. I have no issues with color combos, the pink and green is one of my favorite combos.

The pleather circles are thinner than they used to me. I don't mind this because I don't need the bulk.

I've decided to do WITL this year. I haven't done it since 2018. Back then I did it the second week in May, so I will do the same week this year. It's going to be fun but a challenge because my son will be in Asia, my husband in the US, and me in Canada for this week. They've agreed to do it with me and take photos and send them to me every day, and fill me in on their activities throughout the day. It's going to be such a contrast to 2018 when my son was still in high school. I'm excited.
I've ordered the main and mini kits, chipboard half circles, transparencies, vellum paper, plastic banners, and the Phrase stamp set. I already have a 6x8 album to use.
I'm thinking of buying an alpha stamp or two - does anyone recommend a particular one? I like Alphas are Awesome #10, and Set the Scene. But I don't know how usable they are. The script ones are fun, too. I wish there were links to projects using them in the product description.

If you like the reveal you can cancel the skip. You can unskip it all the way until the next reveal (although the free add-on window will close at the normal time).

I received my WITL things Tuesday. I really like everything I purchased and I’m excited about the project! I did see a FB post on the craft the story page with someone asking why the page protectors were longer now (1/4 inch) in the story play album (messy circles). Katie J replied to contact customer service and comments were turned off for that post. I looked at the last two AE albums I purchased - story play and WITL - and yep, the page protectors are longer! I contacted CS and they said they weren’t aware of the issue and would get back to me. What do you think a good solution is here? I feel bad about asking for new pp for two albums but am I supposed to trim the tops of all the pp?? 6x8 pages look funny in them and 3x4s have too much room at the top as well. 4x6 cards look basically ok to me. I don’t check the 2x2 size. Seems like a pretty big oops. But maybe they wanted it this way if the change is the last two albums?

Katie J replied to contact customer service and comments were turned off for that post. I truly don't understand why they turn off commenting on posts when people ask questions. It's ridiculous. I'm watching a WITL planning video and I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to attempt to tackle this project this year. I didn't buy any of the items from the product line and I'm sure I could do this on my own with my own stash. So here's my question: how do you all tackle this project? Do you preplan or do you just take photos and figure it out at the end of the week? I'm thinking about doing a photo in the morning, one in the afternoon and one in the evening to keep it manageable since this would be my first time trying it out. What has worked for you all in the past? What didn't work? I'm sure I'll probably end up not doing it because I always have grand plans then never follow through. That being said, I'm feeling more motivated to do it this year than in the past so I guess we'll see.

My first time too! I started watching YT flip throughs on past projects and everyone seems to have a loose plan beforehand. Especially an idea of a set up formula for each day. I also jotted down reminders of what I want to document. Laundry, groceries, how we make coffee, taking care of a very special tree/plant. Things I never document in PL but the activities that make up our day.

I think they turn off comments so no one can 'bump' the thread to the top so others don't know they can contact CS and get a replacement. I am actually surprised they even allowed that post in the first place. They love to censor those posts. For WITL, I figured out my formula of how my album would work so I knew what orientation of photos I needed. Did I need lots of vertical? Horizontal? Did I want to photograph something that I could blow up to 6x8 each day or will I want to use small 2x2 photos each day? I also think if I spend some time preplanning it, then I will be less likely to completely forget to finish the project, lol.

So here's my question: how do you all tackle this project? Do you preplan or do you just take photos and figure it out at the end of the week? I always start with a formula that is the same for every day. That keeps it very simple for me. Last year I stole Linda's idea to use a circle photo on the title page of each day so I knew I had to take a round photo every day. Here is my 2022: http://instagram.com/p/CfXZePDOpLC For some reason, a bunch of my 2023 photos are not showing up in my instagram, including my WITL. I don't know where they went. If I find a link in this forum to the photos of 2023 WITL, I will post. I know I did it and I remember posting. The week I documented was the week we made the offer on our money pit of a house we're renovating. We thought we'd be in it by now. Ha ha ha. I try to work on it a bit every day. Like I have a folder on my phone for each day and put photos in it at the end of the day. I make notes of what I want to put where and print out as I go as much as possible. Then do embellishing. I only work from a small kit, mostly what I buy from AE then I go through my stash and pull what fits. This is more photos than embellishments so that makes it easier.

I’m so irritated!! I just got an email saying my SBTM subscription is going to be canceled because they over sold it. I purchased January and February as a one off and decided to do a year commitment beginning with March. I’m using this for Project Life and like the uniformity of the cards. They said I might be able to restart my subscription in the future if kits become available. I don’t want to switch to something else for May and beyond. I will say that they offered to ship me April 2023 SBTM for free (which I already have) and I can get free shipping on anything else I want with it. I’m surprised they didn’t offer me the digital kit for May 2024. Why did I get 2 months of my subscription and now they cancel during the 3rd month? Ugh.

Yes- I will probably get the digitals. I will miss the vellum and chipboard pieces and will have to find a place to have them printed since my printer isn’t very good. It’s just a hassle.

Just checked through my WITL order and I was sent the wrong album 🙄 instead of the 6x8 one from the release I was sent the one called Little Details. It was the same price but has different page protectors which is irritating because I specifically wanted to try using the 2x2 pp for this project. This album is missing all those and its missing the pages of the 3x4 slots. I've started a conversation so we'll see what happens. It's just irritating for an order to be messed up.

I just placed a pretty gigantic AE order. I got both mystery boxes, as I haven't bought any Ali Edwards stuff in a number of years so I figure I won't have any of it. Then I got the Daily kit, both WITL kits and an album as well as a couple of other WITL things, and some other kits. I'm not sure what happened. I think I need to blame it on Linda from Linda Loves Creating. I had been planning on WITL this year and I have one from year before last that I have to put together, so I guess I will have plenty to finish those projects. And one billion others. I noticed when I was offloading stuff from my yard sale prep in the course of my scrap attic organization, I got rid of ZERO ali edwards stuff. I did get rid of Studio Calico stuff, but it was all duplicate mystery kits and stamps from years ago (I consider SC and AE kind of similar). I figure it's a good sign I didn't get rid of any AE stuff. I also don't have a ton of it.
