I got a response within the hour and they are sending me the correct album! Happy they are making it right, no mention of sending back the wrong one either.

I just placed a pretty gigantic AE order. I got both mystery boxes, as I haven't bought any Ali Edwards stuff in a number of years so I figure I won't have any of it. Then I got the Daily kit, both WITL kits and an album as well as a couple of other WITL things, and some other kits. I'm not sure what happened. I think I need to blame it on Linda from Linda Loves Creating. I had been planning on WITL this year and I have one from year before last that I have to put together, so I guess I will have plenty to finish those projects. And one billion others. I noticed when I was offloading stuff from my yard sale prep in the course of my scrap attic organization, I got rid of ZERO ali edwards stuff. I did get rid of Studio Calico stuff, but it was all duplicate mystery kits and stamps from years ago (I consider SC and AE kind of similar). I figure it's a good sign I didn't get rid of any AE stuff. I also don't have a ton of it. Oooh I hope you love all the new goodies!!

Those mystery boxes are so tempting to me as I’ve been away from the hobby for a while and trying to dive back in. Ali always has great supplies.

Does anyone know the name of the font they used in the April kit? The one where each letter is made of lines.

I don't often go to Instagram Stories, but it was nice to have a peak of her new products. I like both of the stamp sets! Will try to limit myself to one. I wonder if they will be available as add-ons for the new kits tomorrow.

Ali sneaked some new stamps being released next week. I love the one designed for album spines. A very useful stamp! When I saw it just as a sheet of years/dates/projects I thought "hmmm, some people are going to really like having all of those years..." then I saw that they are for spines and thought "hmmm...now I really want it!" I don't mind my handwriting when I'm journalling on a page, but I hate it when trying to do the spine label.

Today's the day! If anyone's interested in the mystery boxes I can take photos. I think the description said they are all similar, if I recall correctly.

Ali sneaked some new stamps being released next week. I love the one designed for album spines. A very useful stamp! I'm definitely buying the one with all the years and numbers. I like mixing up how I date my pages and that seems really useful. I have 3 -- one big one from studio calico, a small one from studio calico, and one from ebay.

There is very little of that numbered set that I’d ever use. Half the sheet is full of years that go back decades before I was born. Seems they could have arranged that differently to make it more useful, or put the more relevant parts in a smaller stamp sheet. If you had blocks if numbers 01-99, then you could make any year by just combining two stamps (19)(78), (20)(13), etc.
The one with spine titles annoys me because I’ve thought for ages they should provide a free label with big kits. It would cost them practically nothing to provide a little printed card with each big release with spine titles. Or a download, at least.
But why do a simple gesture for customer satisfaction if you can capitalize off selling giant pricey stamp sets?

I think for a big chunk of AE's market, it covers most of their lifespan- AE was born in the 70s, so I'm assuming that's why it starts with 1971. I'd imagine most of her customers are in their 40s and up.

I've been slowly working on a heritage album and these would be great for that. I've also loved the idea of doing a comparison layout of my mom, me, and my daughter at the same age. These would be great for that.

I'm THRILLED with both stamp sets. I'm currently documenting stories from my childhood and having a consistent font for years ahead is perfect. I hate trying to line up ears using individual numbers, they are never even.
The spine labels...yes, yes, yes. I love that it's (mostly) her old handwriting plus a font. I can see myself using just about every one of those titles. I'm so excited.

If anyone is getting the April SBTM (so the May themed one that drops today), and doesn’t want the vellum pieces - I’d happily buy them from you. 💕

What does everyone think about this month’s kits? I think around here is very usable- the theme and the pieces of the kit. There’s a couple cards I’m not wild about but overall it’s a solid one for me. I am pleased SBTM is more palatable to me this month than March and April’s offerings. lol. I don’t care for those ribbon vellum pieces and those willGo straight into the garbage but I’ll probably work most other pieces into projects. I’m kind of looking forward to the lavender pieces as I never scrap purple so that will be interesting - especially with so much green in the kit. I’m up for the challenge.

paget, if you’re open to it, I’d be thrilled to give the vellum ribbon pieces a good home in my album. I’m more than happy to send PayPal or Venmo for the trouble.

I think they're really interesting. I don't know if I'll be able to use the purple. I love the ribbon vellum. I will try to use a circle punch to cut out the words or just put a circle in that spot and use them for something else. I just started working with the April kit. I was able to find a ton of studio calico products that matched the colors so I have a good bit to work from. I don't think I have much that will match the May kit. It's much brighter than I typically go for but I don't hate it at all.

Thank you. I forget to deconstruct my supplies! Sorry, honeypea I would have totally sent to you before this revelation. 😀 If you have a use for the my grad ribbon I’m happy to send that one!

This is the first year in many I didn't buy the WITL kit. After a second look, I do like it, but the one block-ish font - ay yay yay, no me gusta!
I feel so guilty about all the unused story kits in my craft room mocking me, so I decided to use one a day to document the week. I have some daily plastic dividers I've never used so I can incorporate those too. I've planned on: Yes/No, Comfort, Present, Currently, Community, Family, & Work. We are traveling to a mini family reunion the weekend of the 26th so I'm hoping to crush that Family kit.
I'm also going to try and make those vellum "us, me, you" die cuts myself. I invested in the Cameo 5 with the whole shebang - ES mat, foil pens, etc and fingers crossed, it works the way I want!

I love that idea karinec Let us know how that goes. I also have a ridiculous amount of Story Kits piling up….ugh. I’m loving all the stamp sneaks on iG. I’m in trouble with this release. It’s too soon after WITL.
